Anyway, I knew my wallet was doomed the moment I stepped into Vintage Charm - just the name Vintage Charm already had me hooked. Thankfully, I didn't spend too much though I know I easily could have, especially since I went in here on a nice sunny day. Warm weather can really drain a woman's wallet! But I knew it was meant to be when I scored the last long flowy skirt (made in Italy ok!) in my size. So if you're looking for a nice & unique gift for kids, your mother, girlfriend, etc., this is a good place, but of course don't leave here without buying something for yourself! I will definitely be back at some point when I'm in the area again. Their return policy is full refund with receipt after 10 days. I think after 30 days it's only store credit.

When I do find myself here, I think parking is always difficult. There's a lack of convenient spaces, and for some reason the alignment causes people not to fully see you when they're backing out. I've sold many designer bags, shoes and pieces of clothing with them and have never had issues with their pricing or payouts. I'm very knowledgeable of the market myself and we always see eye to eye on pricing. You can collect your balance at the beginning of each month and they'll have a check ready and waiting for you. Despite absolutely having the knowledge and ability to resell my pieces myself, I choose to work with them because it's such a great experience from beginning to end. Their payouts are at a higher percentage than what I have seen elsewhere, but even if they weren't - I'd still choose to consign with them. Then finally, as she was processing my return, she said I have to give her my phone number, email and address in order to finalize the return. I said no, you don't need that information. Then she smirks at me and says, I'm sorry, but we won't be able to do the return then. Really? You need all of this information to make a return? I was in dire need for an evening dress for a special occasion, with absolutely no time to shop. It was near closing time and I desperately called and asked what time they were closing, if I could make it in.....they quickly answered and said "come on in, we'll get some dresses ready for you, what size are you?" I was working out across the street and made it 10 min before close...it was the only opportunity to try on a dress. I showed up and these ladies had 8 dresses, with shawls, shoes and accessories waiting for me in the dressing room. Amazing service in such short notice. I like one of the hotels in the area and stay often but alas, I don't always feel welcomed as a Black woman in this area. This all changed when I walked into Dear Prudence! Anastasia was BEYOND welcoming and warm. I felt seen and felt like a valued client. She was helping another couple at the time but made sure to greet me as I walked in with a smile and asked if I need any support choosing a piece ... and not in a pushy/condescending manner but with genuine, earnest support and friendliness. The other stores/restaurants in this area could use an Anastasia.... This is my sixth stay in the area and the very FIRST time that part from the awesome hotel I stay at, I didn't feel that I wasn't welcome. Thank you Anastasia... I will be back! And of course... the clothes are great! I bought a black long sleeved dress that may make me brave colder temps to come back to the Chi!
