HIGHLY RECOMMENDED I actually can't say enough about these guys. They gave me a 60+ page document with photos for every point that was found. The inspection was very thorough, and they are COMPLETELY worth their fee. They discovered that an A/C unit wasn't working properly, and I was able to get the seller of the house to make a concession for it. Also was able to save a good $3000 on the sale price due to other things the inspectors found. I recommended these guys to someone I work with, and at the end of their inspection, Cornerstone found mold in the attic of their place, and saved them $15,000 in costs to get rid of the mold. So my experience was great, my friend's experience was great, that's a pretty good batting average! You might find that their costs are not cheaper than others, but don't be penny-wise and pound-foolish. I got a return on my investment with them by almost 10x. My friend got a better return. I'm sure not everyone gets this kind of return with these guys as not all places have problems, but even knowing FOR SURE that there are no problems is totally worth it. I personally worked with Levi, and my friend worked with Chuck (the president and founder of the company). read more

In June, 2025 - our homeowner's insurance company sent a letter stating we were to be inspected. No notice from Cornerstone was provided, no advanced contact made, nor has there been any contact since the "anonymous" on-site inspection occurred. The report was delivered to us and Nationwide has forced us to take some actions - some legit, a few were at best dubious. Those that were dubious were also documented in at best, an ambiguous way - not specific. As well, Nationwide has "moved the goal posts" on us multiple times. The Cornerstone inspector claimed railings were required when the "porch" or "deck" were 24" off the ground. Nationwide insisted we put up railings - "Code" requires railings at 30". The inspector did NOT measure those locations - nor provide any detail. I would certainly choose Cornerstone to do my pre-sale inspection where likely I could pay the guy to say anything I wanted. read more

I had a home inspection with Sid. He was very thorough. He took plenty of time to explain everything to me and answer all my questions. He delivered the report earlier than expected. Thanks to him and his suspicions, I had a plumbing scope of the sewer line done before my due diligence period ended. That resulted having price lowered as well as some other concessions taken care of in our final agreement. Thank you Sid and Colleen for your good work. read more

Josh is thorough and amazing. I would recommend him to anyone! You will get the most comprehensive report with this company.

Really impressed by Tim's work at our recent inspection. It was a very hot day, but I was at a property we were considering with my wife and daughter. He made sure to wear a mask the entire time, and still delivered a fast, thorough inspection of the home. We walked away with a complete view of the home, and he answered all additional questions with a smile. Would highly recommend. read more

Michael Berger at Cornerstone Inspection Group did a great job! He was very thorough and I helped me decide to buy our new home. He went through the homes systems and addressed the concerns he found. We were able to use his report to negotiate our counter offer. The report was but together quickly and was a good value. Thank you for your help! read more

What the PRESIDENT of this company Chuck fails to tell you is that I didn't move into the home until Saturday January 9th so in essence we were only in the home for just over a week when we made the discovery. What he also fails to tell you is that the discovery was made by opening up ANY of the upstairs plantation blinds which his well respected inspector failed to do (Seems like 101 stuff but who am I to judge).. In their fine print they make it clear that they are not required to determine environmental hazards which I guess CLEAR AS DAY MOLD is omitted from.. Do yourself a favor and get an inspector that will go the extra mile to look for these things as it will cost you a ton less to have brought to your attention now than down the road after you have already drained your life savings into a home and are now left to correct the issue. I gave cornerstone a chance to redeem their self and do the right thing by contacting them directly. They did nothing to correct the issue and deflected all blame off onto me. I just want every buyer to be aware of these guys. I am also looking to be put on the board of my large community development. Once I am on board I will make all of them aware of my situation as well and look to have this Inspection group black listed from the community as I don't want to see anyone else get burned like I did. BUYER BEWARE OF THESE GUYS!! read more

My wife and I were very pleased with the professionalism at the Cornerstone Inspection Group. The inspection was very detailed and the inspector (Jeff) went through everything with us. He also gave us a few suggestions along the way that went above the general inspection. At their recommendation, I had a few other specific companies come check out the house (roofing companies and a plumbing company) to get into the weeds a bit more. The money we saved on the house was worth every penny and I am thankful I listened to their advice. Overall it was a great company to work with and I highly recommend them! read more

I've use Cornerstone twice now and have been extremely pleased with their price, reports and turnaround time. Levi did the inspection a couple of years ago on a house we ended up not purchasing but his report was very useful in our negotiations. Ray prepared the report for the house we just purchased and again the information was critical in adjusting the contract price based on what he identified, particularly the possible presence of mold in the basement. That would be the only thing I'd like to see them add to their services, mold assessments. We would certainly recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a home. read more

Do not use Cornerstone under any circumstance. They did an inspection on my home when I bought and when I sold(two years later) and received two completely separate reports. They even went so far to claim that my child safety locks on cabinets need to be repaired because there are no handles. Unreal. These guys have no consistent methodology and approach as to what is inspected and what is not inspected. Again, same house and completely different approach. Example-Stairs in my house were not examined the first time, second they were claimed to be hazards and needed repair. Nothing had changed. DO NOT USE CORNERSTONE!! I'm engaging legal counsel to take further action against them. I have also heard they have been sued multiple times recently for going over the top on their reports. read more

We could not have been more pleased with our home inspection and inspector (Jeff). The inspection was very thorough and the report professional and detailed. As the buyer of a residential property, they provided us with a list of recommended repairs that we were able to easily request the seller to fix before closing. The inspector also met us at the end of the inspection and walked around the home with us to go over key points and answer questions. They also have a great list of recommended contractors and subcontractors that they provided us! read more

Absolutely the most thorough inspection we have ever gone through. The whole experience was seamless from beginning to end. Their communication regarding the process and timeline was organized and easy to follow. Levi led our inspection and did a very in-depth report on his findings. He was incredibly professional and great to work with. All of these factors made it a very pleasant experience. Without hesitation, we will use them for any inspections in the future. read more

I highly recommend The Cornerstone Inspection Group! Chuck, Levi, Holly, and the entire team were great to work with. They were flexible with scheduling changes, quick to respond, and their report helped us negotiate a great price. We will use them again in the future! read more

I have had home inspectors who were fair, ones who critiqued and nit picked everything but Mr. Stoner of cornerstone inspection group fabricated issues and for the first time decided to write a review to protect others. Mr. Stoner spent the entire day at my property. I watched him on camera as he took apart the electrical panel, rearranged breakers and removed the grommets then took photos stating that the panel was not correctly done. He further stated that electrical system was installed without a permit because a sticker was not present on the panel He poured a cup of water under the shower pan to fabricate a leak. He took photos of the Plumbing drain system claiming that the cleanout was missing when the cleanout was there. He stated that exterior electrical boxes where flood lights are mounted needed to be caulked" it and quoted an IRC code. I looked up the code and found that the code was related to framing and nothing to do with electrical boxes. There were so many fabricated issues on the report that I simply decided to terminate the contract Because at this point buyers thought they were purchasing a lemon. More reviews to come Mr. Stoneresource read more

We had to get two property inspections done close to the same time in order to complete financing on our new loft..The one on the place we were moving to was done on time and in a most professional manner. The second one missed a time deadline and caused considerable extra stress by not being finished when originally planned. Regarding the first one, it is so complete we have used it as a blueprint for issues needing to be addressed ( new hot water heater, service and modification of heating unit being the 2 " Biggies") as soon as we moved in. So we are VERY pleased with that one as it has helped us avoid future problems. The second report was equally comprehensive and complete, but by missing the first deadline we experienced a very tight final closing date on our purchase of the new place. As they say, " stuff happens".I would recommend this firm based on their overall performance. read more

We just moved to Georgia, so we began the process of house hunting. We made offers on three homes in total, and didn't go with the first two due to poor inspection reports. We are so thankful we had thorough inspections because we could have lost a lot of money if the inspections had not been so complete. We also had very tight turn around times for due diligence, and Cornerstone came out within days of our realtor contacting them. All and all, it was a great experience working with professionals. read more

Cornerstone performed the inspection for our condo purchase. They were timely, thorough and professional. We would gladly use their services again. read more

I had hired Cornerstone to do an inspection on a home I was considering purchasing...Bill Flammer did the inspection on 11/7/2019 and for the most part did a decent job but failed to look in the attic area and make sure there were no issues. On the report he made sure to cover himself by saying that the homeowner had boxes blocking the path and he did not want to move so he could not verify the attic area. Fast forward 2 months and recently noticed a leak coming from the attic area and recent construction that had been done with exposed wiring and structural issues and also a lack of insulation above the living room. These issues most certainly would've come out if he had only checked the attic back in November! read more

All correspondence was polite and professional. Scheduling turnaround was extremely quick, and Levi did a very thorough inspection and answered all of our questions. The inspection report provided at the end was clear and comprehensive. I would gladly use this group again. read more

They did an excellent job and clearly identified every issue when we were buying our home. The final report was delivered to us rapidly, and with helpful pictures. Issues are categorized based on level of necessity of replacement / beings fixed (e.g. cosmetic / structural). Highly recommend read more

Great job. Good customer service, thorough and useful report. Would definitely recommend and hire again.

Sid, the inspector, did a thorough inspection of a house we ended up buying. He found a couple of things a previous home inspector missed that would have shown later which would have ended up being my responsibility. He was professional and communication with him was good. I would recommend him to all. read more

A friend in the real estate business referred us to Cornerstone to have an inspection done on a home that we are buying. Darrell Hogan was recommended to us by the friend and he was great! He was very thorough, explained what he was doing and pointed out helpful tips about the home, in addition to a few maintenance-type items that needed to be addressed. I would highly recommend Cornerstone and particularly Darrell. I feel very confident that we are making a well-informed decision to continue with the purchase of our new home. read more

Recently bought a home in Grant Park that was built in 1920 and has been renovated several times. Cornerstone was thorough in their review, and caught several electrical, plumbing and water issues that were not renovated per code. Very punctual, thoroughl and detailed inspection report. Would recommend them highly.

Our experience with this group was excellent. Michael gave us a thorough and very honest inspection of our home, and we felt so much better going through the process of purchasing it after his inspection. Not only did he do a great job pointing out things we should be concerned about, he prioritized them for us so we knew what to ask the sellers for prior to closing. We are first time home buyers, so his expertise was extremely valuable for us "newbies". Since we also don't know anyone in the business of inspections and repairs, Michael also provided us with a list of trusted vendors for the time when we are ready to make the needed repairs. I can't say enough about this company and how much easier they made the whole process (which I was terrified of as a first-timer!). Definitely would recommend! read more
