It pains me to write this review because we really enjoyed them a few years ago. But damn, they either got bad new management or quit trying. We use to love their crispy fish tacos, fish n chips, drink specials, pickled eggs, and house potato chips.. but our visits in the last year have truly sucked. Costco has better frozen breaded cod than their 2 piece.... Especially cus it's $19! It's bad now, the breading falls off the flavorless white fish. We've given them the benefit of the doubt, but three times in a row it was awful. We sent it back the last time. A 5oz "old fashion" cost $17.... We've been to upscale craft cocktail bars and they don't cost that much. the pickled eggs are fun but they almost doubled in cost in the last year. (I understand inflation) but to go from $1.75 to $3 for a single egg.. I donno, seems like a big jump. Just a bummer. read more

This place "is what it is"! Rustic, fun, delicious, chill! It doesn't hurt that it's down the road from my house but it's seriously great! Great whiskey selection along with a completely full bar and rotating beer list. The Reuben is top notch and if you want to be completely blown away, order the buffalo chicken sandwich without reading the menu description (as I did). It will blow you away. I'd been hankering for a short destination drive ending in food and a drink. So glad we ended up at the Corner Pub. My hubby always tries the Reuben whenever it's on the menu. I wanted dry rub wings with celery and carrots and added a 1/2 wedge salad. Perfect for a late lunch. This place feels like a clean dive bar. Restrooms are clean! Complimentary popcorn, great beer selection and a full bar.....but wait for it, on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays there is live music! But the best thing is the outdoor covered area and horseshoe pits out back, that feel like a TX bbq joint. Can't wait to visit in the summer when the days are long and the back yard outdoor lights are on! read more

Came last night with my friends. Service was 100%. I walked into the restaurant to meet my friends outside and they instantly greet me, know where my friends are and take my drink order! I so desperately want to give the Corner Pub five stars but just can't. I have been here at least 10 times but have never left excited to come back. The staff is great. The place is warm and inviting. It's spotlessly clean and the prices for the most part are fair. There is always something lacking about the food. On my last visit 11-24 we ordered the nachos for the first time. The nachos were fine but what's up with serving them on a sheet of tin foil? How about the plastic "to go" cups that all their sauces come in, perhaps you could step it up a bit and get stainless ones, plus the stainless ones are better for the environment. The wings are great, with garnish they would be great and look more appealing. How about more than 3 or 4 pieces of celery or a leaf of kale or lettuce. Yeah, I know it's bar food but it's not cheap bar food. The rueben simply needs a little more meat and kraut. A Subway sandwich has twice the meat and cost a third of the Corner Pub. The grinder is the same, needs more meat. The biscuits and gravy are good, quite good, there is just not enough in a full order to fill me up and I'm not a huge eater. If ordered it needs to be ordered with a side of eggs and bacon. I'll certainly come back, but mostly for the drinks. read more

We happen to notice the sign as we drove past building (structure looks like a home) so we looked it up here and came back later for dinner. We shared the Ruben and it was 1 of the best! The only downside is that it was skimpy on the corned beef, but what was on there was SO tasty! The sandwich came with truffle fries which were superb! The servers were very friendly! This joint had a very welcoming and chill vibe with beautiful views outside. It offers in and outdoor seating with outdoor activities, we will return!! read more

I've not been looking forward to this review. We made the hour long trip after visiting Adrift in Anacortes yesterday, we were informed one of the previous owners had started this pub. We had both loved everything about Adrift, our expectations were very high as we've always been spoiled in every way at Adrift. Our server was up to par, a sweet older lady she was accommodating, and very understanding of our issues. I had ordered a dip sandwich, brisket, was flavorless, refrigerated and microwaved I suspect, au juice was cold, very underwhelming. G.F. got the Denver omelet meat was cold and made her feel ill, it was re-made and she ate a little. We were not charged as the owner was present & the waitress knew we were foodies. Breakfast may be very different on a Sunday, but I sure don't think it should be. My second star is for the waitress, she was really nice. read more

We used to frequent the Corner back in the day. We have only been there twice since the remodel...don't ask us why because service is excellent! Everything from scratch! Literally could have ordered anything off the menu and been happy! It was 2 pm so we didn't order a meal. They make a great Caesar! Cajun wings were soooo great. Homeade potato chips were so amazing. Update (9/18/2017): We've been to the Corner Pub about a half dozen times. Usually on Monday nights. Our server - Heather - has been outstanding. Everything we've had has been great. My wife has been sticking with her favorite, the Skagit Dip. She loves it, especially the Au Jus! I've been trying various items on different trips. Tonight, I was really impressed with the Blue Plate Special - Blackened Fish, red beans and rice, coleslaw and a biscuit. Everything was great! read more

It is worth a visit! The cook hand delivered our food to us with a smile. The waitress was attentive too. The place is an old place but very clean. There is a huge flat screen TV there with a good HD picture for those who don't want to miss a minute of whatever sport or news event is happening. Salt and pepper riblettes with 3 Pepper Ranch is amazing. Seriously get the ranch! Tyler the bartender was on top of things and suggested the 3 pepper ranch which made the meal. Collin the kitchen manager even came out and brought some horsey ranch to try it with as well. read more

I have no idea what went wrong here. I had the chicken Strip meal, it came with coleslaw and french fries. I heard their fried chicken was great, so I figured they'd have a really good homemade chicken strip. What a freaking mistake. They were the authentic Sysco right off the truck frozen crappy little chicken strips. The coleslaw was very bland, tasted like they took chopped up cabbage and mayonnaise and mixed it in a bowl. No seasoning, no lemon juice or some vinegar to brighten it up. If this was my restaurant I would've been ashamed to serve that meal. My fellow mates had the fried fish and the fish tacos. Heard about this place from some friends, it's off the beaten path, but well worth the extra few miles out of the way. They smoke all there own meat. I had the special smoked prime rib dip, it was amazingly flavorful and tender. My wife had the smoked grinder, and it was just as delicious. Highly recommend this place. Next time I'm going to try the smoked Rubin. Oh, we also had the rib-lets as an appetizer, those were addicting and full of flavor. read more

The food at this place gets better with every visit! Sat in "outdoor seating" due to current covid rules under cover with heaters. Anything from the smoker is always good but we split a chicken strip and it was one of the best I can remember. We went to eat here for the first time tonight. It was a little busy outside but only a couple tables inside. We sat down and after the waitress walking back toward us 3 times had to get up and tell her we were there and grab our own menus. We ordered drinks and our food. Was never asked how it was or if we wanted more drinks. When we were finished with our meals sat there for awhile and she finally came over to see if we were done. When we left there was one table inside and one outside. Not busy enough to be ignored. The food was good but the service made it so we will probably not go back. read more

The fish and chips were a little sketchy, the batter was under cooked, ended up peeling it all off the fish. I went on a Knut Bell night and unfortunately had to endure some guy play 7 different wooded flutes in between his long winded stories. We went in hunger and went out hunger after ordering the $22 meat sampler. More than 1/3 of the plate was cold slaw(and not that good). The small amount of pulled pork had no heat to it. Cold. I just assumed that's how they served it. The smoked turkey consisted of what looked like 2 deli slices of turkey, lukewarm. Not enough to make a half of sandwich. The brisket was hot and crispy(over done) but I didn't mind, I like it that way. My wife's sandwich was one of those that they pile all the meat in the middle and due to where they cut it, half had nearly nothing it it. Overall the prices are on the steep side. Not sure if we'll give it a second chance especially with the prices. read more
