We came in at a pretty dead time , so the complaints on here of bad service were not mimicked . We had a nice college girl server , who seemed pretty concerned with meeting our needs in a timely manner . Our appetizer of corn queso and chips was pretty good. The burger we got was super good , but the chicken plate seemed a little bit too pre packaged . Nothing was bad - but nothing was that good . This place probably would've gotten 4 starts except for how gross it was. Tables were not clean and there was empty glasses in a lot of places . Service: when we walked in, no one greeted us, and we basically seated ourselves. Two 20-something-year-old girls were working...college type, so not exactly super service-oriented. Pretty decent drinks and good prices. My friends and I went to the top to sit outside for the view and nice weather and were immediately turned off by the smell. The bar smells like a mix of rotting beer and vomit. I can't speak for the rest of the restaurant in terms of smells but I imagine is must be better on the other floors as I wouldn't think they would do much business with that smell. Called them in advance and reached there before crowd and got myself a table with my friend, grabbed couple of drinks with tab open. Bartender were friendly. The ambience and tables are average. I had to run out quickly to car for something and suddenly a guy shows up at the gate. Supposed to be bar security? Doesn't look, dress and definitely behave like one. I tried to explain I was in and was out just got a minute and response I got was you can not enter with no reason or whatsoever and he was very rude and foul mouthed bugger (sorry to be offensive). If this is how this place treats their customers specially on special occasions; places like this doesn't deserve to get at least my business. Went here for a Sunday lunch on the rooftop. Very few patrons. The dark-haired young man brought the wrong appetizer and then disappeared after taking our order. The incorrect appetizer was queso; which had been sitting for long enough to have congealed from cold. I went downstairs for drink refills myself and ended up taking my own food up to my table- a nice young lady carried our drinks while I carried our food. The dark haired young man was nowhere to be found and never checked back with us. We could have easily walked out without anyone noticing- stopped at the downstairs bar to pay and they tried charging us for 6 drinks instead of 4. Still no sign of our dark-haired waiter. The tables were caked in crumb-covered drink rings and the bathrooms were disgusting. I'll probably never go back. read more

Great college bar close to Kyle Field. The servers and managers take pride in their business. Prices are low compared to the dc area and so I bought more drinks. I gave it lower marks bc of the lack of whiskey selection and the double I ordered was truly just a single. read more

This is a great bar for drinks. Especially when the weather is nice because you can go to their rooftop where you get a great view of campus. Last time I was here was on a Friday around 8PM. I ordered a fish taco (they have a fish taco + chips and salsa special for $7 on Fridays). The food was ok. I think I prefer their fried pickles, garlic parmesan boneless wings, and nachos. I personally wouldn't highly recommend this place for food though. read more

The Corner Bar & Grill is sort of like every other experience I had in College Station: I was neither impressed or dissapointed. I guess because I was there before summer school started and after the actual semester ended, but nothing seemed to really be alive. My new group of friends went here two different nights. The first night was better, as we were sitting on the second-story patio, which provided a nice view of the Texas A&M water tower and University Drive. On our second visit, we stayed inside to make use of the big screen televisions. The waitress was very rude to use, but other than that it was a typical bar experience. I think on the whole, I'd have to say it's probably one of the better nightlife venues to visit in College Station. read more

This review is based on the restaurants service and not its food. My wife, daughter and I arrived last Sunday mid afternoon after the BCS marathon. Was not crowded and had no problem getting a downstairs table. Took sometime before anyone came over but we eventually got a round of waters and beer. Wife and I placed our orders and daughter placed hers about 10 min. after that. 45 minutes later my daughter got her food but nothing for the rest of us. During this time no sign of waitress. Saw her a few times chatting with coworkers but she never came buy to wait on us. I had to walk to bar to get another beer because she never came to check on our table. Eventually we flagged her down and asked about the food. She said "that's weird" and said she'd look into it. "3 more minutes" she reported. 10 minutes later still nothing. Ok so I love the rooftop bar! Chill atmosphere yummy beer specials ( even $2 shiner) and I think it's cool how it overlooks northgate. But inside had not so great service, our waitress had her hood to her jacket on the whole time which i thought seemed little odd and she messed up both me and my friends order to which we got no refund. We told her our order was wrong and she sent out another girl to take care of us and we never saw her again. Like she went into hiding we were not rude or anything just wanted to eat. Tried it a second time and never got waited on, waited for 30 before just walking out the restaurant was not even busy and my friends even went to the bar to let someone know we were there, kind of unprofessional. No one even apologized or said bye as we walked out and we were literally one of four groups in the room. So I recommend the upstairs rooftop bar but make sure you aren't in a rush at the restaurant. read more

Early in the week in a college town, it's hard to get things wrong but the corner bar (especially the rooftop) was really just right. Great spot to meet and talk with people (actually talk, not scream at) and have some great happy hour pints. Breezes kept smoke away and the service was awesome. Plus, prices under $3 for large shiners is hard to argue with especially as more places keeping jacking their prices up (looking at you backyard). Everyone has their own experience, but coming from someone who spends a lot of time in college towns for work, this was a great place to chill, talk, and have a great pint. read more

First of all, I NEVER write reviews for anywhere so you know this can't be good.... The past 2 nights I ordered delivery from here through aggiefood.com. Both nights I got the exact same thing: blackened chicken with loaded mashed potatoes (no green onions) and a side salad (extra ranch, lettuce/cheese/extra croutons ONLY). Last night: chicken was really good, the potatoes had green onions on them (yuck) so even after scraping them off the flavor was still there....now to the salad...they didn't give me any dressing, zip, zilch, nada. Ugh! So I call, and of course I get this rude brat who tells me even though it was their fault, they won't do anything about it. Then she tells me she doesn't understand why I'm irritated because "it's not like I was charged for it anyway". Really?!? Tonight: wanting to give it a second try I order the exact same thing 2 hours earlier than yesterday. The chicken was only grilled on one side and the other side was basically pasted with Cajun seasoning, as in it really came off in a paste form when I scraped off the excess. The potatoes were perfect and delicious. Now to the salad... they finally gave me dressing...but no croutons. Ugh! And let's talk about the lettuce....whoever washed it didn't dry it because there was (literally) half an inch of water in the Styrofoam container. Gross! I wanted a side salad, NOT lettuce soup! I've been here only to watch soccer games, and the atmosphere inside the place makes it worth while (even though the times that I've been here my team has lost, so I think I'll have to cease my next visits for a little bit). The service is meh(One of the times that I've been here they forgot I ordered), the food is meh, but the atmosphere for me is good. I'm not 21 yet so I haven't been able to try out their alcohol but I heard from my roommate that the specials they have are worth while. Went twice befor writing a review. I agree the tables are greasy icky feeling for sure. Both times went on Sunday so not too busy. Nice rooftop patio. $2 any beer is nice except you can't take bottles on the roof top patio so if it's warm out, you get your beer in a little plastic cup which means warm beer quick. We came here for a school event and I have to say - I absolutely love this place!!! Granted, we didn't have the typical experience since we had the top floor to ourselves, but the lower floor was still open. The staff was extremely attentive and always made sure we had anything we needed. They had a decent selection of drinks as well! They didn't have a lot of red wines, but I did find a Pinot I really loved. The parking wasn't too terrible either. There are a few free spots around the corner, but the best place without much trouble would be the metered places right behind. All in all, great spot for a quick bite. Will be back soon. read more

Came here to watch a football game on a Saturday. We were with someone who knew the lay of the land so he directed us upstairs when he saw that the first floor was rather busy. FYI we were not greeted, it seemed like a seat-yourself type of environment. The only seating that was open were the couches in the corner (where the sun was beaming down...think that's why others skipped over them lol) so that's where we sat. Once we were seated a waitress took our drink orders and she checked up on us every now and then so no real complaints there. I had an LIT and the hubs had a few beers. It was surprising that the bill only came out to be $15...wow! Gotta love college town prices. Overall everything was fine for us. Cold/cheap beer, clean-ish bathrooms, TV's...not too shabby. Isaac is the best bartender. Unlike other bartenders like the female ones at the backyard he actually makes legitimate drinks and isn't embarrassed about not knowing the recipe. You can just give him whatever mixed drink recipie on your phone and he'll make it and be really happy about it. He's literally the nicest bartender I've ever encountered here. read more

Ordered food along with my entire table, they got their food and I did not, then they refunded me LESS than the meal was worth after I wait over 1 1/2 hours for fucking cheese fries. CHEESE FRIES. This place can't even serve cheese fries. Save your time and energy, go somewhere else, even if there's a wait, it's better than loosing money to never receive a meal. read more
