Nicole with Premier Pilates and Rehabilitative Services is absolutely amazing!…read more I had a shoulder injury and spent 40 days in rehab with a well known practice in St Augustine with no relief at all. I was dedicated and did all the suggested exercises on my own but the pain never left. I was referred to Nicole by my Massage Therapyst and within 2 visits, I was pain free. True story. I continued to see her for 6 weeks for strengthening and rehab, she clearly knows the body very well and works towards the true end goal of the patient, keeping healthy. Her practice takes many Insurances. As soon as I have more time available on my calendar, I plan to take some of her Pilates classes, again, her expertise on healing and preventative care is unsurpassed. I've passed many other clients coming or going from her practice and she is much appreciated and loved! Give her a try if you are experiencing pain or want to try Pilates!

The teacher was friendly and taught a perfect, easy-going Sunday morning flow. The lights were dimmed and the mirrored wall allowed me to see if I was as aligned as I felt I was during certain poses. The music she selected was great: relaxed acoustic popular music versus the usual spiritual instrumental (both are great, but this was a nice change of pace)! The savasana was my favorite part. The teacher walked around and placed cold clothes infused with lavender oil over our eyes which took me from relaxed to super-zen. I've never been offered that before and it was awesome! It also gave me a way to wipe down my mat once practice ended. Overall, I had a great experience and hope to make this class part of my Sunday morning routine as often as much schedule will allow.

In my two weeks I've nearly attended every day. I have been practicing yoga on and off at home for a couple years and going to community classes when I could, but I thought it was time to get more structure (read: discipline) by going to a studio. I often couldn't help but feel self conscience in other yoga environments (hence why I just made do on my own at home) but Tanya's place is different, I'm just beginning there but I can sense there is a family vibe here. I LOVE the hip hop yoga on Friday & Sunday. T&A class will bust your buns into shape in a mere 45 minutes while you laugh and have fun. The only thing I wish is that there were some morning classes before work hours, but I don't even know if I could get up that early to go anyways. HA! I only say this because every morning I wake up and the countdown begins for my work day to be over so I can go to class. It would be nice if I could get the some instant gratification. Much Love for all the instructors and for Tanya for providing such a wonderful & warm environment for us St Augustine folk.

Despite having multiple rounds of physical therapy for my muscular disease and knee replacement, my…read moremuscles, especially my legs and hips, remained weak. After spending the day at Disney World and ending up in a wheelchair after only a few hours, I was determined to find a way to change things. I looked for physical fitness trainers online and spoke to a few. None gave me the answers I was looking for. I reluctantly looked up physical therapy, although I didn't have a lot of confidence this was the answer. I spotted Peak Fitness. I was impressed that they had physical therapy and fitness training in the same house. After speaking to Desiree and hearing what I hoped would be the answer I was looking for, I went in to meet them and sign up. I spoke with Dave, explained what I was looking for and he was positively confident he could make a difference for me. I decided to take a chance and signed up for 3 months. Any reservations I hard were dispelled with my first training class. Dave knew exactly how get my muscles retrained to work properly, then proceeded to make them stronger. Each class improved my ability to go further and longer. The Pilates helped stretch out my muscles and increased my core strength. At the 2 month mark, I went to Kennedy Space Center and lasted 10 hours on my feet, no cane, no wheelchair, just deliciously tired. My endurance has improved so much I still can't believe it. My muscles hurt less and are so much stronger I no longer need help lifting or doing any of the many chores around the house. Having the combined knowledge of fitness and physical therapy gave me the answers my body needed to get better. I now work out at home 6 days a week and feel better than ever. There is no question that Peak Fitness will work for you. The Peak Fitness team will tailor the program for your needs and you will enjoy success!
