This Club Pilâtes is 1000% improved over the last year! Polite, respectful and a good workout. Instructors are more focused on helping me improve than analyzing my past experience with the franchise in California. Love going there now read more

Honestly, after reading these reviews, I'm appalled. First of all, I never met a man named Paul. When I first entered the building, I was greeted by two friendly young ladies that provided detailed communication about the class. I attended the introductory class from Kelsey. She communicated well & was very supportive during the class. I then decided to take a singles class from Stacey which was also fantastic. She was very helpful & corrected any mistakes she saw during the flow class. Granted, I have only taken the classes twice, but my experience was wonderful. Not sure if the organization received new management, but the customer service was great. I also see customer reviews about the time slots that don't accommodate with schedules. Club Pilates offers classes 6:00 AM thru 7:00 PM. They only have 12 reformers in the studio and different level classes. So, I can see how this can be difficult. Maybe the staff can communicate with trusted customers & get their opinion on how they can improve the class schedule to attract new customers. All in all, my experience going to Club Pilates in St Augustine twice was fair. read more

if I could, I would give this establishment no stars. I have been a member of Club Pilates in both Ponte Vedra Beach and Durban. I have 630 classes under my belt. Both places a gem. When I had to move to a different Club Pilates in St Augustine, I was so disappointed and an tually stressed. The owner is Paul. Just for your information, this is a franchise. St Augustine Club Pilates is pure hell. First of all, there are extensive waiting list for nearly every class. I mean like eight people ahead of you. When you walk into the studio, you have such unfriendly greeters to check you in. The other members are friendly that's where it ends. The instructors are arrogant, disinterested, condescending, and sad. They often do not correct your form if need be. Please try another Pilates such as Club Pilates, Yoga Loft or Vitality Pilate. Stay away from here. read more

I have been attending 2-3 classes a week for 2 years. This program has totally transformed my back health and physical well being. I love the instructors and classes. Well run studio, spotlessly clean and well maintained equipment. read more

[MANAGEMENT ISSUE: MUST READ BEFORE SIGNING UP FOR MEMBERSHIP AT THE ST. AUGUSTINE STUDIO] I want to preface this by sharing that I have joined many pilates and yoga studios and have never had an issue with management, in fact, I made some very close friends! This however is a different story until I was harassed and threatened by Mr. Paul, Franchise owner/manager, at the club pilates at St Augustine. The unprofessionalism by the manager has ruined my club pilates experience. Club pilate's core value is inclusion and community while providing a welcoming and safe supportive space. This might be true of the staff and teacher, but the manager has failed to meet these expectations. Club pilates is a space predominately occupied by women and surrounding support for women however in my experience I have felt gas lighted for my experiences and interactions by Manager Paul. Last year when I signed up for club pilates I had just given birth and as a first time mom trying to find a good self care activity has been extremely difficult. I was also moving so imagine the STRESS. Front desk and instructors were very helpful and flexible and helping me get into classes from a waitlist and cancellations that I had due to my baby getting sick and my tough recovery from giving birth. After taking a few classes my experience started to turn downhill solely due to the poor management. One specific interaction is when Paul told the instructor "do not ever turn down the music, i do not care who asked you, don't do it." It was a united consensus from everyone in that class that we wanted the music lower. I found it unprofessional that the feedback was given in public while we all had class. I could see the instructor taken aback by this confrontation. Shortly after this I took a break from club pilates due to personal reasons. This year my insurance now covers Club pilates and I reached out to try and return. I received a very disturbing phone call from Manager Paul at 5:30pm. He shared that "if we were going to sign you up, we are going to do it our way. NOT YOUR WAY, no more flexibilities" "We have over 500 members and I want to make it clear that we do NOT have to accept you if you keep acting up." "you kept having to cancel and were running late due to your personal issues with your baby, that is not our problem" WHOA! I am absolutely speechless and heartbroken from his response as I was totally UNAWARE of any negative impact. Paul told me it did not matter and that he wanted to make it very clear that if we move forward with me attending his studio "it was going to be HIS way". I was in absolute TEARS over the phone! SHOCKED. I then shared with him how uncomfortable and disappointed I felt after feeling gaslighted and uncomfortable, I no longer feel welcome or safe in the studio. Before I could elaborate Paul cut me off and said "I have to hang up here because I am not about to be on the phone with you and hear you say you feel unsafe in my studio." He hung up. I have been going back and forth on whether I should share my story but then I saw another review sharing a similar horrible experience with Paul over the phone and I had to share my voice and story in case others have similar experiences. I also see that Paul (franchise owner) has been responding to all these reviews and I imagine he would probably share there are "notes in my account for all the cancellations" or whatever to threaten me but that is no excuse for calling me out of the blue to harass me by gas lighting me and threatening me. I truly wish this was a huge misunderstanding but I have yet to receive any apology or acknowledgement from Mr. Paul. I will continue to share my experience and stories to my local mommy community groups and for anyone who still wants to try out this studio, I would recommend going in with your head down and dont interact with the Manager Paul, you should have a good workout. read more

Love this studio and the instructors. Been attending classes for over two years and the instructors are great and I can usually get the classes I want. Paul the owner/mgr has always been accommodating and worked with me when unexpected absences happened,. Highly recommend read more

Instructor is super helpful and the class was amazing! Price is very reasonable and the machines are easy to use

I have so enjoyed my Club Pilates membership. I credit it for recovery from several surgeries without restrictions. PT was great and took me so far, but Pilates has given me a full range of motion in my foot from a Lisfranc injury and my ankle after a nasty fracture. I love the instructors and leave feeling taller. read more

I have been going to Club PIlates since they first opened they're doors. The instructors are amazing! Every class is a little different so I'm never bored with the same workout routine. If your having trouble doing some of the activities because of physical limitations (I have a fused right ankle). the instructors always know how to adapt exercises to accommodate you. I have developed amazing core strength and a sense of well-being since I started going to Club Pilates, and at 70 years old, that's quite an accomplishment! Club Pilates is a great place to start or enhance your wellness journey. read more

Went in with a friend to try the complimentary fitness class. Owner is not a local and very unfriendly. They require personal details--social security numbers, credit card info (class is free??) and you can't take the class without purchasing a $20 pair of toe socks. Don't waste your time or your money here. read more

This was my first ever pilates class and i loved it! Would definitely spend the money on a membership if it wasn't for the rude and unprofessional instructor. She kept rolling her eyes at this older woman who was struggling to understand her directions. She is short and blond. The manager should definitely have a word with her. For an intro class thats the worst thing you wanna see. People don't want to feel judged or embarrassed, DO BETTER read more

I've been a member since last quarter around October and never really had much to complain about other than the schedule being a bit "bankers hours" so hard to get in before or after work but I made the effort. Enjoyed the instructors and classes overall. In January my finger was severed and I could not attend classes as I would have stitches around my knuckle for six weeks. When I called to pause my membership a gentleman encouraged me to keep it to be able to schedule my classes for when I came back. Not sure why I agreed as I then proceeded to pay for two months, of membership at full price of $199 and not attend one single class. When my stitches came out, scheduling classes became a challenge as everything was booked out so I did my best to get In where I could. Life happens and I had to cancel classes and incur the charge for cancelation. At this point I still haven't even complained or called ever to receive any credits for any charges as I understood the terms fully. This week I learned I will be out of the country in April for a full week so I wanted to pause my membership again. I called and left a few messages at the studio and received no call back until this morning when Paul decided to call me and accuse me of blocking the bank from charging cancelation fees. I explained my card has a fraud block as would unlock it and then decided to express I was glad he called as I needed to speak to someone about my membership. It was difficult to speak with him as he started telling me I needed to give a 30 day notice or be charged $100 to cancel and I expressed how I paid two full months and never went. Long story short somehow we ended the call but I was still confused as to what we were resolving as I felt like I was once again being charged off instead of being retained as a customer. I called right back as I wanted to express to Paul that my intentions were to sign back up and continue clases in a new location when I returned from out of the country and how disappointed I was that he made no effort to retain me as a customer. He would not allow me to speak and became upset when he tried to cut me off and speak over me and I would not allow him to and stated I would think he would allow the customer to speak first so he could understand my frustration. His answer to that was to tell me I wasn't a fit for the brand. Completely appalling. Very disappointed in this as I was really enjoying the classes. NOT WORTH THE TREATMENT it's so expensive to be treated like you are not important . I expected a much more personable expiró me considering the studio was so small and seemed to be exclusive. VERY DISAPPOINTING. Sad for the instructors if that is the manager of the studio. He is condescending and clearly doesn't like to speak with customers and has no customer resolution skills at all. read more

I took their introductory Pilates class and really like the facility, instructors and equipment. I will definitely be joining. The classes are not too big and all the equipment seems pretty new and very clean read more

Unsupportive of taking classes while pregnant, which was really disappointing. I joined for awhile and it was fine, there aren't enough classes/instructors so it's really hard to get into the class you want. By the time I was showing, I was receiving negative comments from the instructor at every single class. And I was only taking the LIGHT stretching classes. This was really disappointing because I know the benefits of Pilates can be so great for preparing for labor and maintaining strength throughout pregnancy. Being treated like a nuisance and a hazard during every class was so frustrating and disheartening. At my last class there, another member gave me a compliment saying, "good for you for doing this for yourself, you'll be so happy to feel strong when it's time to push!" And the instructor came over and told her, "I don't think so, she makes me nervous just being here." So much for women supporting women. And then I had to pay $90 to cancel the membership read more
