I'm not sure what I expected, but I do know this...when I stretch myself I will stop if I feel pain, tension, etc., whatever. But when someone else is doing it to me...suddenly it feels good, I don't mind, or I just don't notice the pain as much...or I just enjoy the "hurts so good" thing (lol). When I left there I felt like I got a workout, but I was just stretched...it was wild. It was honestly the next day that I "felt it". I'm a person who likes to stay in shape, but I've had a few things happen where I had to stop doing certain things, exercises, etc., and getting back to doing it/things after taking a break is sometimes difficult. Having a little help with stretching and working on range of motion is nice. I can tell it is working and is going to work. I look forward to the next session that is for sure. If you have any sort of tightness, getting over an injury, just want a good stretch, etc. and/or whatever the case may be...check it out! I think you may be pleasantly surprised. They do a free session so you can see what it's about, what they do, etc....so you don't lose anything. If it's not your thing, ok. If it is your thing, then they have a few plans to choose from. Please know that all of the employees are certified and/or have experience in some way in this arena and are very professional. If you choose to sign up for a plan, they have a website and an app you can download to your phone to schedule/cancel appointments. Of course, you are always welcome to call as well. It is located in the small strip mall around the corner from Publix in Palencia Commons next to China King. There is more than ample parking in this area and it's easy to get in and out of. They have a restroom as well.

Although I can only speak to the Fit Camp classes and the physical space, in the two months that I've been a member I've been super happy with the value I'm receiving for my monthly payment. It's a clean, well-organized, fully-stocked gym that allows members to utilize open gym time if they are unable to make Fit Camp class that day. You can find everything from battle ropes to pull-up rigs to squat racks to dumbbells to punching bags (and everything in between). The space is well thought-out and accommodates classes of 10-25 people on a regular basis. At this point, I've attended classes lead by all of the different coaches and every person has their own coaching style but are all ultimately helpful and energetic and attentive to individual needs and modifications during the programmed workouts. I also enjoy that I can track my progress using the Wodify app the gym utilizes for attendance and payment purposes. In sum, the gym is a great space with awesome staff and I've yet to meet another member I dislike. All-around good group and a great way to get (or stay) fit.

I have been going to Haley at St Johns Pilates 3X a week for about a month now. This was my first…read moretime ever doing Pilates and the location is just a few minutes from my house. She is currently working out of an area of her home which is a very large area with 4 Pilates reformer machines ( I am pretty sure that is what they are called) until her brand new location opens at the new area they are building on Roberts Road. I have been having some hip pain - so much so that my last Dr visit my Dr requested an MRI and I was not able to sit on a chair/couch with my leg underneath me with out hip pain and even walking on uneven surface such as even grass would cause my hip to be in pain. I would say my hip pain was about a 4 (out of 1-10 and 10 being worst) - this coupled with me getting "up there" in age, I wanted to make sure that I found something to help with balance and range of motion. All the web searches I did pointed at Pilates. My first time I went here was probably a mess and I am thankful that Haley did not laugh at me. I could not even finish some of the starter moves/exercises/stretch's etc that she asked me to do. But now after a month I am pain free in my hip! I can sit with my leg tucked underneath me without pain and everything else with no hip pain. I notice it is easier for me to get up from a chair, doing a sit up to get out of bed. All is so much easier thanks to Haley and St Johns Pilates. My only regret is not finding her sooner in life, but at least I am back to having pain free and motions that are no longer stiff.

This was THE most nourishing, yummy, relaxing yin class I've ever been to. I felt held, connected, and completely at one with myself. Misha was so nurturing in how she flowed through this class, the music was absolutely perfect, and afterwards I felt grounded, present, and tuned in. This was a very very special class! 2nd class was Pilates Express with Maria. Wow! This woman is STRONG! It amazed me how she presented the poses, how detailed she was, and how challenging it was to do the poses! She gave nice alternatives to be able to maintain the form, and her knowledge and precision was incredible. I left feeling like I definitely got a great workout in! I appreciated her being able to give some individual attention to help me correct my form when I was losing the shape. Both of these teachers were so very lovely, and the space itself is welcoming, nourishing, with a powerful energy of healing and gratitude within it. So far in my experience of St Augustine's yoga studios, this is the best. I'm grateful to have found it! Also, as a bonus: there are clothes for sale in the small boutique that are REASONABLY PRICED!
