I would always see this store and was curious what they had so it was great to come in to see what was available. They have a lot of different items ranging from kitchen, bathroom, garage, etc. I was surprised to see the variety of items that were available. I saw items that I've never seen before and I've been to several stores. The items were very organized and easy to navigate. The staff were friendly and helpful which I appreciated. Could hardly CONTAIN myself to write this review. Lol. Couldn't resist. This store is like Home Depot for the obsessive compulsive. I LOVE this store. Seriously LOVE this store. Why only 4 measly stars then? Two reasons- prices and service. I am one of those strange container type people. I live one of those obnoxious organized, color coded, shoe boxed life and having unmated socks throws me into a tailspin. This is my kinda store. Boxes, bins, pouches and everything you would need to be organized. This store is truly amazing. I get giddy with glee every time I go to this store. Everything is nicely displayed and organized. The store is brightly lit and the rows are spacious. The shelves sparkle with items designed to make your life easier. I realize this store is in a high rent area. You've got to sell a lot of shoeboxes and fancy trashcans to make ends meet. I get it. I still think this store is way overpriced. I know they are going for a niche audience but still dang pricey. Every time I've been in this store, I have never had one sales associate ask if I needed help. Not one. Many associates walk past me and go about their business. I am hard to miss, too. I am tall, oversized and wear lots of eyeliner. I dunno if they think I am not going to spend money there or not but they are lacking in this area. The cashiers are pleasant enough but, otherwise, service is lacking. The two negatives I mentioned are not going to stop me from shopping there or recommending this store. I just look for sales and coupons. This is a great store and they have many unique and helpful items. read more

Glad to see this place cleaner and more focused on unique products than when I first visited right after they opened, about a year ago. I'll still probably always head to Target when I need organizational products, just because it's closer and I know the store layout by heart. We went here today specifically to look for things for my daughter's school locker, and they did not disappoint. She got lots of fun magnetic items to help organize her locker, including a shelving unit for only $10. Nice to see lots of markdowns and sale items- many things now seem on par price wise with Target. I scored my beloved Huggable Hangers for less than $8 for a 10 pack- great deal! read more

I purchased Elfa drawer systems for my closet 2 years ago and the clips that hold the solid drawers on the runners are all broken. Went to the store to get replacement clips only to be told there are no longer carrying this item. The employee asked me to reach out to customer service to see if they had any, customer service told me to check eBay! Well I had no luck and searched for weeks. The drawers cost $20 - $30 each, the frame with solid top costs about $160!! I called to ask if I could get 10% off or something and Dawn the manager expressed that because I purchased them in 2017 that I could not be offered anything! Per her conversation with the other manager, she also agrees with the decision. The tone and the way she spoke to me as if I was a fool to have even ask for a discount of some sort! She then went in to say that the store is currently having an Elfa sale and to come out and purchase the new updated drawers. Now what would I spend over $100 more dollars just for the item to break and be discontinued!?! I don't recommend shopping here. If both managers can't see where this is a true loss for the me the customer, I'd say save your money and shop elsewhere. read more

I love The Container Store. It's one of my favorite places. Especially during a big sale! Some of my favorite organization products have come from this store- especially for closets, travel accessories, and kitchen. Their products are great quality and they have great associates that can help you figure out solutions to better your home or pack for a long trip. Some items are overpriced, but a majority are the same price as you'd find at Target. This particular location has a terrible check out line system, which is why I docked a star. It's disorganized, unclear, and in the middle of a main walkway. I suggest they direct customers to a line not in the main entry way, especially since a lot of people utilize shopping carts and the main entry can quickly become overcrowded and unwelcoming. Overall, The Container Store has amazing, fun, and smart organizational solutions and the best baskets I've ever bought! If you've never been, plan to spend some time exploring all the different sections of this wonderful place. read more

The hanging file box I needed was in stock at a great price. I was surprised at the vast selection of items an organizer like me would appreciate. Every employee I encountered was helpful and friendly, and the checkout process was fairly fast. Very nice! read more

Absolutely would not recommend this store. I bought the produce and berry bins here and they all melted when I washed them. I checked all the labels prior to washing them to make sure there were no special protocols (there weren't any on the packaging or bins). I tried to return them and was told the instructions were on the website and so they could not take them back. Who checks the website prior to using a product? Absolutely ridiculous and poor customer service. At least offer store credit. I will never waste my money on cheaply made products (that are overly priced) again. I've put way cheaper plastic is the wash many times before without it melting. I found the same type of containers at tj maxx for a fraction of the cost. I recommend checking out places like tj maxx, home goods, Amazon, or target before coming here. read more

Somehow, this was my first visit here ever! And boy have I missed out! For someone that loves to stay organized, having coordinating bins and baskets for things, my friend was so surprised I'd never been there! Unfortunately we didn't have time to peruse the aisles so I could look at every. little. container. But, I will be back to do that! I was amazed at how many different things they had and options within each category! I loved all the different t color options, material options, size options. I never realized how many things you could, well, contain! Ha! Also, the prices were great. I think I made the assumption that with where it was located, it must be an expensive Tupperware store, not gonna lie. We visited the Container Store on a whim and were pretty pleased with the experience. It was busy when we arrived and there weren't a lot of store personnel around to help, but we were really just perusing for the most part and the store was really well laid out, so if we were looking for a specific item, there wouldn't be a problem finding it. Prices here are all over the map. We saw some really cool brightly colored filing cabinets, but the price was outrageous. I decided that I might repaint my $60 filing cabinet instead. There were some items that were really reasonably priced. I liked that there were not just items to help with organization, but they paid attention to form as well as function in their selection of items. We did buy some stuff here and although the lines for checkout were long, the employees were humming along like a well-oiled machine getting people checked out fairly quickly. If you sign up for their rewards membership, they'll give you a pretty decent coupon for your next time around, so probably worth it if you don't mind the occasional email. read more

I rarely comment on Yelp, but this really upset me. The weather in Midwest was very bad this past weekend, but I drove 20 minutes to the Container Store in Leawood, KS, nonetheless. I get to the door and the attendant says that I cannot come into the store due to COVID. It is 10 Degrees Fahrenheit and he wanted me to wait outside!!! I was so upset I turned around and left. I do not recommend going back to this particular store until COVID is gone. The employees and/or management are completely unreasonable and do not seem to want your business. read more

I felt like this was walking through a combination of Bed, Bath & Beyond & IKEA but without the personal map. I actually did enjoy walking thru here. I saw more ideas for organization than originally expected to see. I found some ways to better organize my crafts, work gear, & kitchen space. Nothing really unique but it's a nice go-to location. The store is structured well & isles labeled to quickly find what you're looking for. Didn't have anyone asking if I needed help finding anything or had questions but there were quite a few customers for opening sales. I do plan to go back. read more

As a planner, logistician and minimalist, this place is HEAVEN to my little mind. I love how everything has a place and things can be kept neat and orderly. This place is my go to for organizational planning my home. Better than Wal-Mart, Ikea and Target. Prices are reasonable and staff is and has always been helpful when I have been in the store.
