Splurged and bought a living room sofa for $10k. Added an extra $500 for a 5 year warranty. Cushions started sinking/sagging after 2 years. Now sofa looks awful, friends comment on dilapidated state. I purchased a table and 4 chairs. The original 4 chairs were marked "in stock"and coming from the warehouse so I had to wait a month to pick them up, but didn't have to pay shipping fees. When I went back to the same store to purchase 2 additional chairs a few months later, the chairs were advertised as "in stock", however, they were not available for store pick-up and would only ship directly to my house for $299. Everything that is advertised "in stock" or "on the floor" can NOT be picked up and can only ship for a very expensive shipping fee. I moved into a new home and have several rooms to fully decorate but will not shop at Arhaus due to all "in stock" and "floor items" have absorbent shipping charges, that can't be avoided. This is the update to my previous review. It is now July 23rd and I am still being given the run around about my refund. On July 21st the corporate headquarters told me that they couldn't process the refund because the order hadn't been cancelled by the local store. I drove to the local store (Leawood) and met the the manager. She presented me yet another refund receipt, identical to 3 others that I'd been provided with. She sent an email to "accounting" at corporate to request a resolution. She told me she would reach out as soon as she heard from corporate. Crickets. I have now filed complaints with the Kansas Attorney Generals office and the Better Business Bureau. I hope the number of 1 star reviews serves as a warning to potential customers. I had been eyeing one of their modular couches online for a while but never checked it out in person because the stores in my area were all so far away from my home. When we happened to be traveling to Kansas City, we stumbled upon Arhaus and pulled over right away. We must have spent hours in the store trying to figure out which couch was the perfect fit for us, sitting on every cushion at every possible angle! It must have been funny to others watching us but it's such a big purchase, we just have to be sure! We kept going back to the original modular couch and the associate noticed this as well. The star associate who helped us, Elizabeth, was so friendly and honest with which couch selections would meet our criteria of being compatible with having small kids and pets in the home. She explained in detail the special warranty option and how to clean each fabric we were interested in. She sent us home with print outs and samples of fabrics we liked and we felt really good about the impromptu trip to this furniture store. Fresh beds temperature controlled and I went "home" on a Bachman Chase Lounger for a bathroom or California closet. The fabric was more than Boucle and less than sheep. Schumacher or Thibaut wallpaper would be a standard to bring out each time. The lampshades and chandeliers are eccentric and easy to understand as a necessity in any home matching the bold and weighted designs meant for a specific type of architecture. The showroom floor skips the basic Tom Ford books and has only A-list recommendations. Beware doing business with Arhaus. We placed a substantial order in February - only to have the order continue to slip. July was the absolutely positively delivery date. When July came, and the furniture did not, my wife inquired and was told that it was now October. While the sales representative was cordial, the store manager refused to return several calls. I don't care what the website says, this is not a customer-focused organization. By the way, their website has no way to contact about problems of this type. read more

Evidently reading reviews this issue goes back several years. Very disappointed items ordered in October will not arrive until "late May". I was so disappointed by this brick and mortar store. I truly love Arhaus online and their products. We have beautiful velvet dining chairs and a sectional from them. They are great quality and a great price. However the store felt like a consignment shop. There was no flow, no staging really and it just felt unwelcoming. The customer service is a little much. We were approached three times by the same woman within thirty minutes then given a speech that we should buy in store not online to help keep brick and mortar open. I do not know how that would be possible given there was so little inventory and so little room to think with her pushing us. This location truly needs a visual to go in and ramp it up and the employees need a little more training. The product is there they just need to work on the rest of the details. read more

My review is based on delivery timeliness, not on the product (which I'm sure I'll love once it's FINALLY delivered). I ordered the 96" Telluride Dining table back in August, at the time they anticipated a 9 week delivery window (late October). Then it was pushed to late November, I called them again today and it's been pushed back to December 31st. I guess we'll be picnicking on the floor this Holiday season. We went here specifically to look for a new chair for hubby. Everyone seemed friendly and knowledgable about their products. We ordered the chair and went home to wait the allotted time (which can feel like a long time - nothing is in stock to be taken home). This is when things began to fall apart. After some time had passed, Hubby stopped by the store to ask about an estimate on delivery. The staff person could not find our order under the phone number that Hubby gave them and it was obvious that the wrong number had been entered at the time the order was placed. At this moment, it would have been the perfect time to enter the correct number into our files. Obviously, that was not done because my son (in Chicago) soon received a call from them. He politely gave them my number and asked them to call me directly. They did and I asked them to correct their files with our number. They called my son at least 3 more times and were always laughing at how funny the situation was and didn't seem to realize how frustrating and annoying it was to my son and to me. When Hubby stopped by the store to check on our delivery date, they also failed to mention that the chair was at the warehouse in Ohio but could not be released until the final payment was made. (That information came in another wrong phone call a week later and we would have been happy to pay that balance when Hubby had been in the store previously if he had just been asked.) It was only fitting that they called my son again on delivery day, after numerous opportunities to change their files. Overall, I would say the experience when buying their merchandise is pleasant. However, once you've paid a lot of money, they really don't seem to care. My guess is that they are not looking for return business as much as continual new customers. Just purchased two couches from Arhaus and have had the best experience so far. We went to several places (RH, pottery barn, etc) and came back to Arhaus because we A) loved the product B) loved our designer, John. He was incredibly knowledgeable and truly spent time getting to know what we wanted and cared about what is best for us. We are planning to shop Arhaus for our other rooms as well. Absolutely AMAZING customer service. Every single person we came across greeted us warmly and asked if they could help us at all. They all seemed very excited to be there and are eager to show off their store and its products. I'm obsessed with interior design, so this place really attracted me, although I don't think I'll spend a ton of time or money there, since I'm pretty loyal to other places around town that are more in line with my particular aesthetic- Nell Hill's and Coveted Home. Plus, those places are locally owned, and Arhaus is a chain, if you're curious. Arhaus is heavy on the gray, brown, black, and purple color schemes. I like that combo, but even I got a bit bored of walking around and seeing mostly those colors. They offer a lot of their products in different colors and fabrics, however, so I'm hoping that means that they'll change out their displays and color schemes at least once in awhile. The prices appeared to be on the medium to high-end. What impressed me most, and what will make me return, was the absolutely wonderful customer service. They made me feel like a beloved friend, not just a nameless random shopper. Love that!! read more

A friend and I stopped in here because we both had always been curious by what type of stuff they carried. We immediately knew it was not the furniture and decorative store for us. Some of the stuff was gorgeous, and some of it was definitely more for a very "showy" home. I doubt that's a word, but you get my drift. Some of the pieces that were incredibly expensive seemed to be made out of particle board though, it didn't feel, sound, like real wood. So we came away unsure. I love the furniture but it just doesn't make up for the mismanagement and terrible service. I got my bedroom furniture there a few years back, I love it but the delivery process was a hot mess and included multiple issues of orders getting lost, damaged furniture, and ridiculous wait times. Now I needed office furniture and I convinced myself that I could order one desk without incident. No. It came damaged. I called the store, she gave me three different numbers, none of which worked. She gave me two different emails. A week later I have received nothing but an automated response. So I am still waiting to have this resolved. I have little hope that this will get resolved without multiple calls and emails...again. No matter how much you love this furniture. DO NOT ORDER FROM ARHAUS. UPDATE: I finally got an email response on June 16, informing me that someone would follow up. Today is June 27 and I am still waiting.... read more

I purchased the AVA hemstitch pure flax (linen) flat sheet. Despite the seriously misleading Nordic brand vibrations, this item was made of inferior grade linen (surface covered with postules which felt sleeping with someone/something leprous). Sheet was made in India, so fabrication was below average in general, and unacceptable at this price point. Be warned. All is not as it appears with this ersatz "European" brand. read more

I've been ordering some things from Arhaus for my new home, and it has been nothing short of a nightmare. I returned a furniture piece and long story short -- Arhaus owes me well over a thousand dollars and I can get ahold of NO ONE. Their customer service tells me there's nothing in my order notes and to call "concierge." Concierge is a mythical place where they always have an excess call volume so you have to leave your number and they don't call back. They do not return emails. Gilbert and the team in this store are nice, but the hassle isn't worth the headache. For example, several pieces on display in the store aren't available for several months, so they're "pre-order" items. Pass. Also, I ordered two non-furniture items online and shipping was $107. I like the options here. There is a little something for everyone. If you like interesting and unique furniture, you can find it here. If you like some traditional items, it's here too. If you don't take it off the showroom, it's going to take you 3+ months for them to deliver it. I don't know why a custom build should take that long. I thought they were growing the trees so they could cut them down. The staff can be a bit... well, let's put it this way... non-consumer advocate. While some staff is spot on and very diplomatic, others could use some training in that department. There is room for improvement. read more

We've purchased a handful of items from this store and have had a very good experience. However, most recently, we ordered a table online. When we ordered the table, it was noted that it would be ready in mid-June (we were ordering in mid-May). I checked in towards the end of May and was informed that we were still on schedule. Today (June 11) we stopped by the store and asked if they could check on the status of our online order. We were informed by the associate that he highly doubted we would be receiving our table on time and that we should "be very worried" about when we might receive the table. Sure enough, as soon as I got home, I called the online support, and were notified that it was now likely to be ready in mid-September. Now only is this extremely frustrating, I don't know when (or if) Arhaus was going to reach out to us to notify us of the delay. read more

This store is absolutely fabulous and expansive. Two visits so far and I have seen something new each time. They have a massive variety of high end, handcrafted pieces, and some bizarre/unique accessories ($1299 hand carved bird cage, industrial light fixtures that would make any Restoration Hardware fan swoon) and tables so large and grand, Paul Bunyan would fit right in, minus the various bottles of liquor scattered around the store. My only gripe is the somewhat excessive use of animal skins/furs. Calf hair ottomans, leather galore, natural Sherpa, etc). It's unique, but not my style, so if you're vegan I would steer clear. Don't forget to check out the outdoor living room area behind the store, complete with large outdoor cabinets loaded with nick-naks and plush outdoor seating. Your purchase comes nicely packaged in these thick, burlap bags which are handy for shopping trips/throwing a change of clothes in, etc. Check it out. read more

I had an amazing experience shopping at Arhaus Polaris Ohio. I found a beautiful blue stone table online and went to the store to check it out. Evan greeted me at the door, helped me find the table and was so helpful in assisting me to select a fabric for the chairs. He looked at tons of my pictures and helped my pic a perfect fabric to compliment my current Decor. He helped me order and purchase the table with a 5 year warranty. I was so please with my experience that I went back a few weeks later to look for a couch, and Evan remembered me by name! I feel in love with he Pavo slipcover they had on the floor. I visited the store a few times before making a final decision. Evan called me with no pressure and offered me a better price on the couch. He helped me measure to determine if it would fit in my room, helped with what format to choose, and was very knowledgeable about how to care for it. I was very pleased to hear that the 5 year warranty I purchased for my table would also cover my couch at no additional charge. He knew that I was eyeing a rug and was able to give me a great deal on that too when I purchased the couch. I would highly recommend visiting Arhous Polaris. Ask for Evan! We share the story of terrible customer service and still awaiting refunds. We order a couch and two chairs. The couch came in first and was damaged. 10weeks later the new one came in and we had to make arrangements to get it delivered. Their concierge service and delivery service is worthless. Two chairs came in and one was damaged in TWO locations. This time we said we did not want a replacement. The chairs sat in our living room for 3 weeks while we waited for them to arrange pick-up. Finally I threw them in my truck and brought the, there myself. Two weeks later still waiting for the credit on our credit card and salesmen are nothing but excused. We have dealt with 3 salesmen and 3 store managers and nothing. Just because they give you a cell number doesn't mean they answer calls or texts. When I buy luxury items, I expect excellent customer service. I have not had that experience. read more

Arhaus is a beautiful store and it seems like they have a style for everyone. After reading some of the reviews it seems like majority of the negative ones are either due to bad delivery experiences or custom pieces taking too long. If you don't want to wait for a custom piece then don't order custom there seems to be a lot of in-stock items you can have in your home within a couple weeks. In my experiences at this store they've always been upfront with time frames for custom pieces since I've purchased both stock and custom. Also, it doesn't seem fair to write bad reviews based on a bad delivery experience. I was told they have a brand new delivery company which is nice but if you had a bad delivery experience leave the third party delivery company a bad review not Arhaus. The company they were using is the same one RH, West Elm, Crate & Barrel and Pottery Barn use so I guess you would have issues everywhere. I have purchased several things from Arhaus and will continue to. No company is perfect but I love their family owned company style and I don't feel intimidated walking in. I did have an issue with my dining table being damaged, which happens, and they took care of me no questions asked. The table was replaced within two weeks and I love it! The designers are always so warm and welcoming. Also, this isn't Nebraska Furniture Mart the quality of their furniture is top quality and majority of their pieces are made in USA and Italy....not China. I love Arhaus and will forever be a customer! read more

What can I say about this place? Me, my girlfriend, my best friend, and her husband went to walk around and look at things prior to our movie starting. We didn't have any intention on buying anything, but thought it'd be nice to just look and see what we had to offer. Initially, things were fine. My girlfriend and best friend were greeted very welcoming with a smile. Things changed once me and her husband walked in. Immediately upon entering the store, we noticed that we were being followed. I didn't want to think it had anything to do with how we looked, but ultimately had to accept that the attitudes towards the females and then the group changed once it was realized that me and my friend's husband are black. The workers seemed to try and intimidate us by following us throughout the entire store. This was blatantly obvious and the workers never stopped until we left, going as far as waiting by the elevator we took down to leave. It's one thing to not acknowledge us because we weren't getting anything, but it's another to intimidate us because half of the party didn't look like the workers and I'm not just referring to gender. I will never step foot in such an establishment that seems to encourage its workers to be racially bias against people. read more
