The service was horrid. I asked them a question for a figure I found while in the store. They responded with an insult to my face. I politely asked them if they could be a little flexible with a very expensive piece of merchandise and their response was "maybe you should make more money." I sat stunned not knowing what to say back. I then asked them about the same figure on a website for a much lower price and to see their response. Rudely they said "we don't do that here." I said okay put down the figure and bought something else. No apologies, no have a good day and no thank you to that place ever again. read more

Impressive collection of superheroes figurines for both the DC and Marvel universe. Also they had super villains and manga type figurines. I didn't see any Harley Quinn figurines while I was shopping. Comics were priced as is per the cover price. There were some DC dollar comics but they ere reissues of older comic titles. Good to see that the store is opened 6 days a week even with the COVID-19 situation. It fulfills the availability when you need to get back to comic collecting and this store has the variety and displays of comics. read more

The store is a MESS! First you walk down a hallway so full of boxes you can only be single file. When. you get inside there are full shelves in front ot full shelves, so you cannot see/find anything. There are also full boxes in front of the already full shelves. All the long boxes are buried in one aisle, with shelves of Funkos in front of them. No way to spend time just parusing to find back issues. Every aisle has so much stuff that you can only walk through single file. Aside from it being non-customer friendly, I don't think a single fire code has been followed. It is like entering a hoarder's house. read more

How you feel about that is how I feel about *this* place." She was talking about The Comic Store. To say that this is my favorite store in Nashua would probably be an understatement. Not only do I remember them before they moved into their current location, I remember the annex location on Amherst St. I used to go here once a week since I was about 12. I probably bought every 'Buffy' piece of merchandise they ever sold in the first 3 years of the show. A benefit of being home at Christmas is that I know they have an annual sale. It used to be just half off back issues - it's still that, but it's been expanded for trades/graphic novels, action figures/statues, and possibly even stuff I'm not even remembering. It's worth going over the holidays. I will agree with James M's review of the guys who work here can be difficult. One guy, a dude named Dwayne, is a super douche. He tried to NOT give me some of my discount. Another guy who works there, and who has worked there for pretty much my entire life, stood up for me. He's awesome and I wish I knew his name to give him kudos here. But Dwayne? I was shopping here long before he started working there, and he's a 6" foot tall jerk. Since I was the only one in the shop for most of my stay, he probably should have been a lot nicer to me. And for the fact that, you know, I was a paying customer and all. I wasn't looking for much, but it's a GREAT place for out-of-print stuff and hard to find trades. This happened to me last time I was in Nashua, too. Because not a lot of people are comic book nerds in my hometown, it makes this place a mecca to those of us who are. It's actually worth the trip to Nashua just to go to this store. read more

This store has an amazing selection of POPS and strategy games. However, this store is filthy. There's dirt covering the floor and entryway, and one look behind the counter showed it was equally as dirty back there, with papers and more dirt everywhere. There are also boxes of inventory plunked in the middle of aisles, making it hard to navigate the store. I spent maybe 2 minutes In there during my recent visit left. Vacuum cleaners, brooms and disinfectant sprays aren't that expensive. Please take the time to clean your store and take some pride in your business. I'll be going to Newbury Comics down the road. Not as good a selection, but at least it's clean. read more

They lost a loyal customer today... I have been going to The Comic Store since they were in the old downtown location and would take an annual trek down to the store for my birthday to spend money on Gundam Model Kits and other action figures. They always had an impressive selection of Model kits even though some of the prices were higher then what you could get them online. I started to notice though that as the years went by, that the prices kept going up and the store itself was becoming more clustered and unorganized even though they had three employees that run the store. Don't bother asking for help though, because they are rude and rather complain about their daily life. They recently had a sale that offered 20% off Gundam, unfortunately I missed it and when I asked if the owner would extend the discount on a $225 Gundam and sell for $180, he said absolutely not, even thought I had cash ready to go. The same Gundam sells for $185 on Amazon Prime with free shipping so they must be doing so well on a Wednesday that they could lose a sale and a long time loyal customer. I have never asked for a discount in my 12 years of coming in and spending over $100 on each trip until today and now I never shall ask again. Prices are ridiculous on action figures which shows with the age of some of the figures being in the same spot for over 10 years. The place is a mess and their customer service is sub par. They still have yet to respond to my Facebook message from over a year ago... read more

Careful with buying comics in Mylar/poly bags; not always in good condition. I have very poor vision (legally blind in one eye) and did not notice that an Archie book was in such bad condition. Guy saw it and said nothing; sold it to me right then and there. Books that are cheaper at NEWBERRY comics are full price! Sometimes it's the opposite, but usually only because it's an older copy. Otherwise a good place that i love to visit, but I make sure to check those poly bags very carefully as the comics in bad condition has happened more than once. Recently, with cinema constantly turning to "graphic novels" and "comic books" as inspiration for movies more and more so every year. I decided it was time to actually involve myself in the source material, partially because. 1.) I want to start reading more, 2.) I'm too lazy to actually read a book, and finally, some of these are actually really good reads. Unfortunately if you live in my region, finding comic books anywhere aside the Internet is near impossible. I considered myself lucky to come across The Comic Store located in a crowded shopping plaza in the heart of Nashua. Entering the store with a few books in mind to purchase (None of which I could find at Newbury Comics). I found not only a tremendous selection of comic book and various nerd related merchandising. I also found my selections at reasonable prices. They only seem to have two people that work there, neither seems particularly excited about their jobs. They did have a humorous tip jar labeled "Employee Alcohol Tolerance Research Fund". Which I decided to put two dollars in just as a token of appreciation for their honesty. Afterwards I asked them if they could put me on a call list for when an issue of The Goon arrived and was in stock. They assured me they'd make the call and never did. First time here,walls filled with superhero statues,massive display of gundam models. Nice selection of comics, funko pops, cards and graphic novels. The staff was helpful when I was looking for a certain comic. The parking is shared with the Karate business next door, just be aware of the limited parking. Absolutely amazing store with friendly workers, they have the most updated and most complete gundam collection I have ever seen. From SD to PG gundams, they have everything. Things from more than 5 years ago to a gundam that came out a few months ago is here. I was buying the MG Astray Red and Blue frame and was about to pay, then I saw the Astray Green frame that just came back through Bandai's gundam cycle behind the counter and HAD to pick it up immediately. Not only are there gundams there are many comic books and video game figurines and statues. Drove all the way from south of Massachusetts just for this store. Definitely worth the time and money. Wish I took some pics but we spent $351 there and $218 was mine...whoops XD read more

I've been gaining appreciation for my local comic store. So much so that I'll be continuing to get my weekly fix there once I move to Manchester (though continue to work in Nashua, so it's not exactly out of my way). It's still mostly the same. Stellar selection, carrying just about every new title in existence and any graphic novel I can think of (or at least am looking for). I've been getting some good use out of the 20% off graphic novel Tuesdays. 20% isn't any great shakes for a discount when you compare to Amazon, but it IS quite appreciated when A) as a specialty store that's hardly effected by Wal-Mart they don't HAVE to do any discounts and B) the selection is so expansive that when something you're looking for drops out of print, you can beeline to this store the following Tuesday and almost certainly find it there, and for 20% off. Multiple times I've noticed something I'm looking for that's no longer available on Amazon, so I've done just that. The gaming selection is one of the best I've ever seen in a brick and mortar store, even better than most places that are 100% gaming specialty. This makes the store's complete lack of gaming space all the more jarring, but hey, I can wait till' I get home to play things. All in all, this still isn't the best comic store in the world. Not even in New England (it does pale in comparison to That's Entertainment in Worcester MA and Chris' Cards and Comics in Seabrook/Hampton NH), but hey, it really works for me. read more

Little known fact, this place has a decent amount of hobby packs for sports cards collectors. It's clearly not their main gig but I've had some great pulls from here and they have really good stuff! Nashua has no LCS so I've been stopping by the comic store every once in a while and it's been great. Staff has been awesome as well. Super friendly and helpful. read more

The staff is extremely rude. The store is messy and completely disorganized and everything is extremely overpriced. My boyfriend has been coming here for a long time and has spent a lot of money here. Wanted a price on an item in an open box. Staff member was super rude and claimed he opened his sealed box when the box was sitting there wide open. Maybe if you don't want people to see what's in the boxes you shouldn't leave them literally all over the store blocking every single aisle. He had no interest in making the sale and basically told him to put the item back in the box and he'll get to it when he gets to it. If the guy wasn't so rude there wouldn't have been a problem and we would have waited for it to be priced. We like to support small business but probably won't support this one anymore. read more

I went in looking for a particular comic, and the guy behind the counter says he can order it for me. He says it will be there in a couple of weeks. I go in to pick it up and the guy looks it up and says "That's weird. It says it arrived but it also says zero." He looks around a bit more and then talks to somebody else who works there, then says to me "We sold it to somebody else." No "sorry", no apology. He then says "Do you want me to order it again?" No, in fact I'm never coming back to the store again. Thanks for wasting my time. read more

The place was surprisingly great. It looks a bit seedy on the outside, like an old adult store but they have a ton of great stuff in there. The model aisles were jam packed with all sorts of Gundams, Star Wars and other items not easily found in a brick and mortar shop. It was a bit of a hassle moving boxes to see stuff on shelves but I can't say they didn't have a good selection. I stopped collecting comics years ago but they have a massive amount of bins/shelves. They have a good model paint selection and other patrons were quick to offer suggestions which gave the place a friendly vibe. The counter help wasn't super enthusiastic but polite and professional which is probably the best you can really expect these days. I'd recommend the place and going back in the near future. read more

My personal favorite comic book store. I can usually find anything out of print that I am looking for, and they have the type of staff that is there if you would like help or to chat. But isn't all kinds of in your face. And really that is all I need from a comic book store. It filters out the crap and novelty goods that Newbury offers, but still has an impressive amount of models and figures.
