Located in Hudson Falls at the corner of Main Street (US 4) and John Street, Bill Sullivan's Diner…read moreis a classic local hometown diner serving breakfast, lunch and dinner in a cozy setting, reopened in 2021. The original Sullivan's Diner was at this same location many years ago with a storied history on their website. This space has been home to other eateries over the years including the Country Corner Café, Phat Chicks Corner Café and The Corner Diner. Sullivan's Diner serves up traditional American fare and comfort foods. The breakfast offerings include eggs, pancakes, French toast, breakfast burritos, breakfast sandwiches, homemade corned beef hash, and breakfast sides. Lunch/Dinner selections include burgers, deli sandwiches, hot sandwiches, club sandwiches, wraps, hot dogs, fish fry, clam fry, soups, and salads. The prices seem reasonable. There is table seating near the front window, booths along the wall and counter seating to the left. The cashier stand is near the front door. Bill was also here chatting with customers. I stopped by Sullivan's Diner recently for lunch. The place slightly busy early afternoon and I could sit anywhere I wanted. I was quickly told they ran out of corned beef hash after sitting down and given a menu. I ordered the Fish Fry Basket ($12.95 plus tax) with an ice water. There was a large party ahead of me still waiting for their food. My order was served to me in about 20 minutes. The fish basket was a good portion of hand breaded and deep fried crisp piece of cod, hand cut golden fries (lightly salted), tartar sauce and a small cup of slaw. The food was a bit greasy, and very hot and tasty. I was given the check afterwards, which was $13.86 with tax and before tip. I will definitely have to take another ride over here for breakfast!

A total great experience!!…read more Welcomed upon arrival and seated promptly with a reservation (suggested). Welcoming decor and staff was friendly throughout visit. The food! Meatball appetizer, big and rich in flavor with meatballs not too soft or hard. Great with warm bread that was provided. Main course was beyond big and easily two meals on each platting. Chicken parm was tender and nicely seasoned with pasta side. I had a special of peppers and onions in a spicy red sauce with crumbled sausage and bucatini as the pasta. It was cooked well and had a nice warm spice, but not over powering heat, easily two meals. Drink prices were market priced with a wine $ 8.00 for a good pour. Server was personable and attentive throughout our visit. It would appear the kitchen is small and staffed accordingly. I hear they limit take out orders when very busy and best to call ahead for complete info on a weekend. Overall great experience and will visit again.

It's a simple Italian restaurant…read more They're very busy and the kitchen closes regardless how many people they have. Dinner service ends when they say. It's a big open room with a moderately sized and full-service bar. The food is well-made traditional Italian with generous portions. We've tried a lot of the menu and haven't been disappointed. The meatballs are great. The wait staff are attentive, conscientious and clearly care about your experience. This is a family place, but dress appropriately and only bring your kids if they're well behaved. This isn't a place for unruly toddlers or crying babies. Make a reservation a few days in advance and show up 15-20 minutes early. You'll be happy you did and happy you came here.
