A collector's delight! Cards, backpacks, plushy and toys. They have it all. If they don't, they will work hard to find it for you.

The guy running the magic the gathering is a complete moron, he tried to value my sealed product as if it was open already and tried to lowball me. They value your stuff at 70% market DONT COME HERE

Picked up these 2 for my collection

I came here for the first time yesterday and I had a very pleasant experience. For starters there's a nice parking area in the backside of the store. When you enter in you'll see multiple TV screens, folks playing video games, and tons of trading cards. I'm a Pokémon card collector myself and absolutely fell in love with the plethora of single and graded cards. Also they have a nice selection of sealed products and even custom made Gameboys. If you are looking for basic cards to fill your collection or super high end vintage or Japanese cards, they have it. The guys running the store are super laid back and are extremely knowledgeable, and very easy to talk too. I went in with a friend looking to just purchase a couple of Paldea evolve ETBS and walked out with that and a Rayqaza vmax alt along with a Leafeon VMAX alt (IYKYK). On top of that I had a meaningful conversations. I'm super happy with my purchase and am looking forward to going back there again. Hands down the best card shop I have been to in So Cal

Jordan and Mario helped us today. Jordan's got a great set up! The store is clean, organized, and prices on singles are more than fair, especially since they use TCGPlayer as their reference. I always appreciate when the owner of the store is present, because they can help price check and provide a comfortable atmosphere. Jordan is very transparent about what he is trying to accomplish with his store. Another positive of the store is the atmosphere, there's people playing videogames, card games, and just chatting it up. If you like collecting, this is the spot! It's an awesome small business that deserves the support!

One of two Mewtwos I pulled.

The store has an awesome vibe, with tournaments going on and lots of people laughing, playing, and having a great time. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Draven was amazing! His knowledge of Magic: The Gathering is next level, and he took the time to teach my son the basics without making him feel overwhelmed. As a parent of a total newbie, I really appreciated that. They also have a great selection of cards, Funko Pops, and collectibles at reasonable prices. It's the kind of place where you go in for one thing and leave already planning your next visit!

Brightly lit with 16 gaming stations, livestreamed from stations 1&2. Overhead tv screen streams for players and guests. Commentators have gaming chairs and headsets and are seated behind the owner's work station. (Very cool, Troy - this is a really great space you've created!) Cool collectibles are on sale at their store a few doors down, and here - including backpacks;). I also spied a Monopoly Gamer MarioKart box! Venue is available for reasonable rental rates for parties and tourneys. Just see Troy! A variety of beverages (Keurig for hot and a fridge for cold) are available as well as a ton of sweet and savory snacks (the Grub Chest -freezer- is a frozen tundra though) and there is a convenient microwave. Long blue tables hold everyone's backpacks and water bottles, and it was nice to see people chatting and getting to know each other when not in game. And yes, they have a restroom! (Shout out to the very clean restroom with a bidet, no less!). Visit here, game here, and tourney with Pico Plus So Cal Project M Gamers here! If you've ever been in charge of small children, you know that the bedtime routine is sacrosanct…read more It supports the health and development of young brains and it ABSOLUTELY VITAL for the sanity of the grown-ups, who need an hour or two in the evening in which to shower, pay bills, talk to their partner about subjects unrelated to Sesame Street, and fall asleep in front of the television. The trouble is, I'm on business in Southern California for a couple of weeks, and the kids (and my partner) are 2,600 miles and three time zones away. This is an obvious barrier to performing my part in the Brushing of the Teeth, the Reading of the Storybooks, and the Hugging of the Stuffed Cat, and so I've been largely useless in these regards of late. At 4pm California time, I was checking out the Bellflower Car Show (which was really cool!) when I got a call from my partner back east. It was storytime in the eastern time zone, and the Toddler had decided that I was the ONLY person on the entire planet who was qualified to read the picture book version of the classic song "What a Wonderful World" that night. Which is to say, I was the only person in the world qualified to SING "What a Wonderful World" while my partner turned pages, pausing so that the toddler could periodically say "Wha wondafawa!" and/or point out all the birds and bugs in the pictures. Car shows, however, are REALLY NOISY and also full of people and interesting shiny things. This is not conducive to reading picture books, nor for putting small children into a sleepy headspace. Luckily, the car show was right in front of The Guild House. I'd actually stopped into The Guild House the week prior for a Tuesday night D&D Adventurer's League game (Level 5 Half-Elf Bard). They charge $2 a head for table and supplies, which- and I realize this is a divisive issue- is absolutely fair because the storekeepers have gotta make rent somehow and it's not like every player is gonna buy new dice/books every week. I found the staff friendly and , the product selection excellent, and the store itself clean and comfortable. So, throwing myself at the mercy of my nerd brethren, I ducked inside The Guild House, and treated the gamers therein to an impromptu concert. Those who noticed me singing in the corner were very understanding about my situation, but most too wrapped up in their games to care. I even got to show Astrid the Shop Cat- possibly the world's cutest game store employee- to the Toddler, who has asked about the cat every time we've talked since. After saying good night to the toddler, I bought some really funny "Miskatonic University" postcards to send to my nerdy friends back east, and also a cute pin with a plague doctor on it to give to my partner. Thanks, Guild House, for being my nerd base-away-from-home for the last couple of weeks...and for helping m make story time happen!

Bad service and poor communication…read more I've been trying to catalogue my MTG collection lately. I drove 40 min to get to this shop because they have a machine that scans your cards. I paid the shop to rent the machine and waited for 2 hours. Then the staff told me "We made a mistake setting this up. We can't give you the scanned info, but leave your cards behind and your email address, and we can send them over. You'll just need to scan this thing we send you." I was uncomfortable leaving my cards behind because they're important to me. But I didn't want to walk away empty-handed. So I decided to trust them and I left my cards behind. I didn't hear anything for 4 days. I had to call them and they said "Oh the employee you were talking to got sick. If you want to pick up your cards you can do that though." I asked "How about scanning my cards?" and they said "We'll message the sick employee and call you back to let you know what he says". I waited 3 more days and they didn't contact me at all. I realized they weren't going to reach out to me to resolve the issue, so I had to drive down to the store to demand my cards back. I don't know who the person running the back of the shop is. Maybe the manager. Maybe the owner. All I knew is that they had context on the whole situation and knew that I had returned to get my cards. They didn't bother to come over to talk to me. They didn't even give me eye contact. They didn't make even a single attempt at improving the situation. Not even an offer for store credit. Not even a sorry. They just shrugged and yelled across the room "machine's broken". Then they went back to puttering around and left another employee to deal with me. This other employee had no context on the situation. All she could do was hand me a cash refund and give me a confused "Sorry...?" I was treated like I was an annoyance. Someone who'd go away eventually if you ignored them. Not a respected customer who just wanted to do business. I'm not mad that the machine was allegedly broken. I'm only slightly mad that the employees aren't trained on how to use the machine. I'm frustrated that I paid for a service and they didn't bother seeing the job through to the end. They didn't communicate when they decided to give up. I trusted them with my personal card collection and they betrayed that trust. I don't even know if I have all my cards back, but I'll never know. Save yourself the stress.

Arriving at their location we were greeted right away and they had Alexis help us out. She was beyond nice and extremely patient and so was the gentleman behind the glass case (I wish I had remembered their names). I have previously tried YouTube to learn but without success and Alexis made it so easy that once I got back home, my son and I had an awesome time playing for what we've learned. Best of all, the commons were only 25 cents per card! I did not play any games while I was there, but the store was full of players for multiple different games. I also appreciated that the store employees seemed to know some of the players by name, which tells me that they do see the store as a community space rather than just a business. What stood out to me the most though was my interaction with one of the employees named Anthony. He saw that I was picking up Riftbound cards and asked if I wanted him to introduce me to the other Riftbound players present and break the ice. While I declined the offer, I thought that it was a great gesture and yet another example of how this store cares about the community aspect of card games. While this store isn't near me, I can see myself going back soon, both to buy and play.
