My wife and I took multiple Italian language programs and Jessica, our instructor, was the best (lei a' perfetta!). NCE in general offers so many classes, many language, skill learning, physical education, technical etc that there is really something for everyone. Their prices are very very reasonable (if you are thinking about learning a language look to NCE first - the others are very expensive). Our classroom was on W Charlotte in an old high school that was turned into a learning center, air conditioned, easy parking, a very nice learning environment. It is sponsored by the City of Nashville, and you can see their quarterly classes on line and download a quarterly education catalog (spring, summer, fall, winter). NCE is a great low-risk, low-cost way to finally get out and learn something new!

The professor is wonderful, very knowledgeable, and makes learning fun. Another great aspect is all three semesters have been the same students. So you get to know everyone very well and become friends. I would recommend this school to anyone who wants to learn another language and have fun while doing it.

However, I knew I needed something more to improve my skills. The in person classes taught me how to create lesson plans that were interesting and engaging. Word games, pictures, and roleplaying, in addition to structure, made learning a joy for students and teacher. Also, being certified as an ESL teacher opened the door for employment to nonprofits including TLC. I'm grateful for the numerous students from all over the globe they have brought to me. She is incredibly patient, kind, and understanding, which makes such a difference when tackling a new language. But what really sets her apart is her energy--she's always positive, encouraging, and absolutely hilarious. She makes every class fun and engaging, which keeps me motivated and excited to keep learning. We drive 20 miles out of the way, 10 in each direction with traffic just to get her here each day having moved away from the neighborhood and I will continue to because she loves it here and I love her being here.
