They never followed up with me to say they were too busy for lessons, and never called me back. If they can't follow up with client inquiries, I can only imagine how they are with teaching swimming. If they decide to reschedule any or all of your appointments, the management isn't good about entering them into the system. We were told we missed an appointment, when clearly the error was with the website/app not being changed properly. The swim coach texted me prior to our lesson, to say we missed our appointment and that she didn't have to squeeze us in somewhere else. She stated she has "things after work". My 5 year old was so upset because she wanted to swim and we were driving there to be there on time. At this point I'm done with this company. We will find a better program. Now let's discuss the actual lessons. This is not for kids who are comfortable in the water and need lessons to teach strokes. These coaches, spend lots of time having the kids blow bubbles in the water, go under water and other very basic things. I witnessed other lessons going on and there wasn't much actual swim instruction going on. My child had been learning freestyle in another program, prior to our move to this area, and this coach had to be told multiple times that my child needs help learning to breath on her side and kicking while doing the arms. We had one lesson where the coach didn't even get in the pool with my child. Instead she made her exit the pool and lay on the pool chairs so she could show her how to kick. The lesson program we came from (in Kentucky) was very organized and had lists that each level was working on. They had a program that each coach followed and you could see the kids advancing. Worden Aquatics did not have anything organized about these lessons. For $55 a lesson, I expected a lot more. I expected our lessons to not be moved around so much. I expected the coach to teach at the level my child needs. I also expected management to communicate properly with clients and actually book the lessons they say they will book. Instead you end up paying for lessons where the child isn't advancing in their skills or they botch the lesson time and refuse to reschedule or refund.

The staff are usually friendly, gracious, and efficient with getting you through the door and onto equipment. I really love how most of the equipment faces out towards nature rather than more rows of equipment. While this happens occassionally, I'm usually able to navigate towards a nature-facing space. If I had to be picky, the only drawback is for my introverts: this gym is usually quite popular, whether during the day with elder gym-goers or during the later night with college-age students. The only time I've found as relatively less populated is during the hour before lunch or slightly before school pick-up for parents with kids around that age. This is obviously not that convenient for most families or individuals. Parking is plentiful but usually pretty full. Be careful with the traffic around here. It's usually pretty calm, but there's just a lot of people going in and out. The pool is currently (12/2024) closed for remodeling but otherwise a fully functional gym. Some additional amenities include: a walking track, stairmasters, treadmills, free weights, power racks, bikes, row machines, and your standard machine weights.

Thank goodness we are Richland Country Club members who only have to be here for one month. They are also extremely inconsistent on their absurd rules. My 4 year old is just now getting comfortable jumping off the diving board but likes someone to be floating close by in the deep end to help her swim back to the side after jumping - well the blew on the whistle so aggressively AFTER she jumped in although I had been waiting for her to jump for about 3 minutes that she cried. What else did they think I was doing talking to her with words of encouragement down below ?! They have a beach entry toddler pool that I've never once seen anyone else in where I like to put a pool chair as my child plays. I've done this for about 5 days now and someone just came up to me and said they don't allow furniture in the pool... umm does a crummy plastic pool chair count as "furniture" ? Also, a few days ago it started thundering so they "shut the pool down" for 30 minutes. Well I left our pool bag out on a table not thinking it was completely necessary to pack all the way up and just used it as a break for a snack. Well after the first 30 minutes were up and there was still some distant thunder I decided we should just pack up and go home. So I walked back to the pool to grab our stuff and was again aggressively whistled at. It was embarrassing and angered me. For those of us that are new maybe you should explain that you need to pack up everything you had out by the pool when the guards here some mysterious thinner even though the sky is blue Only giving 2 stars because they have decent food for a less than decent PRIVATE swimming pool

It is open from 5AM to 9PM, with a great deal of its traffic coming in during early morning and during dinner time. If I get the chance to come during the day without everyone else being here, then that is the most ideal situation. I enjoy swimming while my husband does weights. It is a nice place to relax, but the swimming area can be a zoo when school is out during the hotter months. Between swim lessons and the outdoor pool open, it can be overwhelming. I just stick to the swim lanes and call it a day. I think overall the facility is clean and customer service are friendly. Parking can be a nightmare, but you can always find a space. The facilities are clean, people are driven, and you feel in good company working on your fitness. I enjoyed finding a rhythm with like-minded people, and the option for some coffee at the end after a ridiculously early workout session. The workers were always polite and even helped me with a few issues here and there faced by typical gym-goers: a lost locked, a door dinged in the parking lot, etc. Everyone was extremely understanding and thoughtful in the midst of my in-the-moment distress. The facilities here are extensive: a whole power rack and weight room on the base floor, a more cardio-focused room on the second, another "express gym" area on the second, and even an outdoor free and power rack area outside with punching bags on turf. I really love that they have pretty new, innovative machinery implementing relatively immersive AI or gamnified exercise. It's both exciting and fun, especially when you're not the biggest fan of redundant activity like me. I love seeing all people of different generations and backgrounds workout out here. It makes me feel like everyone belongs.
