It sits far back from the road and forms a campus with the adjoining middle school. - With your eldest at the middle school, it's convenient having all three kids on the same campus. - The leadership (front office, Principal, etc.) have been very good, and are engaged, caring people. - There is a very active PTO here as well. Most of us don't have a choice about public elementary schools, but if you're shopping for a home within the Sunset Elem. district, I can recommend this school to you without reservation.

Our older sons have attended other area private schools during their middle and high school years, including one that might be considered a more "elite" school by others. Harding had the opportunity to travel to FRA for Basketball State Play offs. With both sides fans energized and cheering with all the fever pitch of a NCAA Final Four game and Refs along with coaches leading there respected teams in the final seconds of a grinding game, order was maintained and fair play was on display for all to see. At the final shot to win the game FRA basketball team fell short on points but Player and Fans rose above it in an awesome display of sportsmanship to congratulate the visiting team. Several FRA Boosters/Fans wished us good luck in the finals and thanked us for driving the three hours up to support our team. Several told us, "Safe travels and we look forward to playing you next year". Two words to summarize; Outstanding School.

his school is the most Diabolical school that my two children have enrolled in. Kids do W33d,…read moredrugs, etc. The only thing that i am most satisfied in is The drama teacher, and her plays she does with the students. My daughter goes to Ms.sharp's class for RELATED ARTS, i must state how satisfied, and impressed i am with this year, October 2024,7th grade students in related arts drama. They have great acting skills, and one of the best ive ever seen out of every grade. Ms.sharp is one of the best. My son used to have a teacher named Ms.hooper, he absolutely HATED her class. She mistreated the students, yelled at someone for helping their friend get to an assignment, and is just utterly disrespectful. this leaded to my son becoming scared of her. I feel like the only TWO teachers that take students, and their success seriously is Mr.sterling, and Mr.burgess. They both do an excellent work at their jobs, My children have stated that they felt safe around those two teachers being around because of their brilliant teaching techniques. Mr.sterling, and Mr.burgess deserve teacher of the year.

They don't let students use the restrooms after recess at all, during the locker breaks, NOTHING. Students there now smoke, fight, they literally beat kids up and throw food at them at the cafeteria!! Do NOT send your child here at ALL! Some of the teachers are great, but there's one teacher here that students have been saying is a p3do. My child said he touches kids when they don't want to be touched trying to be "Playful" with them and that he calls them "boo" or "Babygirl." I think some students might be uncomfortable with the names he has been calling them. There's this other teacher my child doesn't like in 7th grade named Mrs. Hooper. Shes utterly disrespectful, treats and screams at kids for no reason, doesn't let kids use the bathroom when they are desperate to go, and one of my daughter's friends was eating chips and the teacher sent them to the Vice Principal!! My daughter told me that one teacher during a lock down (not a drill) was still teaching and yelling at the kids! That is NOT okay to do during a lockdown, especially during a lockdown when you don't know if there's a shooter in the building yet or not. I'd hate for anyones child to be in a room with that teacher when theres a shooter in the building and lose their life because of them. Thats just sad and no reason to keep teaching during a lockdown. I'm VERY disappointed in the school, teachers, and students.

My girlfriend and I visited the Frances Bond Davis Theater to see the Portara Ensemble on a rainy…read moreafternoon. The performance was excellent, the acoustics were perfect, and everything went smoothly! The concert proceeds were donated to Make-A-Wish so we also got to hear some moving stories about the impact the foundation has. Overall, it was a great opportunity to see some art and listen to a wonderful choral performance.
