Before this was Eakin it was Calvert elementary comprehensive school I used to go to this school…read moreback in 1972 thru the early part of 1974 I had great friends at this school years ago yes I got in trouble a few times lol but this school was fun during class math was sometimes hard and spelling or reading was ok you just have to remember what the story was about the best teachers I had was miss Bonnafield she was great and worked with me and my parents back then to improve me to make me better and I'm proud to have had a teacher like her now the other things I liked is getting in line to go eat lunch or going outside to play those were my favorite and in the winter I loved the snow when there was no school I loved the springtime to as well as the fall summer was to hot for me but sometimes I get out and play at home during the late afternoons to where it cools down a bit finally the most important thing I liked about Cavert was making good friends and getting to know them !!!!!

I have a kid that needs additional interventions to catch up, and another that is moving well beyond his grade level, and they are both supported educationally with care and professionalism. School counseling support is excellent. It is insanely diverse in every way shape and form, and no matter who you are or where you come from, you will be welcomed into the community here. It is a public school, so it lends itself to the general struggles of public schools everywhere, but I wouldn't want my kids anywhere else. It is a lottery school, so you can lottery in from the outskirts.

All teachers (100%) quit for "personal reasons" within about a two week period of each other in the spring of 2018 and were asked not to speak about the director negatively on their way out. Shouldn't be hard to put 2 and 2 together there. They also charge exorbitantly for the number of hours they are open relative to what other places in the area charge. They are closed for full weeks in December, March, and May yet still charge the full monthly fee. If you need to drop your child off earlier than 9 or pick them up after 3, there are extra charges, too.

We are very impressed with the Goddard School. All of the teachers have degrees in early childhood…read moredevelopment or similar areas, and it shows. Each week the school has a theme, and each age group learns an age-appropriate lesson relevant to that theme. Examples are recycling, sign language, etc. There is a rock climbing wall for older kids, an outdoor gardening area, a library, and so many thoughtful touches. The staff are very friendly and take the time to get to know all of the kids. They are very clean; everything that touches a kid's mouth goes into a bleach bath before being passed to another child. The classrooms are well maintained. Our child smiles when being dropped off and when we pick him up. That's a great sign. He hugs on his teachers, so I know he likes them. We are so appreciative to have our child in such a great daycare.

Currently, I have my youngest in the toddler class, he's been attending since he was 3months old. Sarah is a wonderfully communicative owner. She's very focused on providing a safe environment for all the children. I have always appreciated the video access to my child's room so that I can check on them whenever I have a moment to spare at work and I'm thinking about them. They said they wouldn't not give her a bottle and she could only have a sippy cup, the only way she would get a bottle is if she refused ALL day to drink. Well she only ate two bites yesterday all day and cried herself to sleep 3 separate times. So not only was she starving when she was picked up her voice was cutting in and out where they just let her sit there and cry. They did not fill out her daily forms with how she did and would not give me the login to be able to check in on her and it was her first day. Also, I went through a misunderstanding on when the payment was due and because I was a day late which I didn't know I was told I had to pay the late fee and this is her first week and I'm trying to figure out what they're doing and how things work. So they want to charge me money for misunderstanding the payment due date but then they starved my daughter all day and let her cry and never tried to see if she was okay. When we got home all she did was eat food and drink milk and sleep because of how of an experience it was. I have two older kids that went to daycare for years and the payment was always due on Fridays not the following Monday. I misunderstood and thought I had until that Monday to pay following from the Friday. She refused to understand and didn't want to talk about their negligence, saying I was given a handbook. She's right about that but it also states in the handbook that they're supposed to give me a login so I can see my child and that they're supposed to fill out the daily paperwork which they didn't. The lady that gave them a 1 star review for them dragging a child is correct and telling the truth because this lady only wants money and creates a picture that they're a great daycare which they are not. Please don't send your child here, you have to know them for them to treat you like a human being.
