There was someone there already getting a watch battery replaced. So, while waiting, I walked around admiring their clocks and watches. They have quite a selection - great if you need a nice clock for yourself or as a gift. I took some pictures and a short video and posted them for you to see. When it was my turn, he took the watch and went in the back. It didn't take much more than five minutes for him to return with the watch working again! And the price was very reasonable, under $20. Cesar arrived precisely on time, did an expert job in repairing the antique case which was damaged during the move, and set up the clock. After it's set up, the clock movement was found to be in need of repair since the clock would stop after a few hours of being started and was not keeping good time. Cesar promptly took the movement into his shop where he carefully took it apart, made repairs and replacement of some of its components, such as the suspension, and patiently and meticulously adjusted the movement so that it now keeps absolutely PERFECT time! I am thrilled that this beautiful, mechanical antique is running as flawlessly as an electric clock for the first time in the 17+ years I've had it in my possession. Cesar's also made sure the clock's movements for the day of the month and phase of the moon were working as well, which only adds to my wonder and enjoyment of this incredible timepiece. The value of the clock including this movement is $200 to $300. it's not a family heirloom. I told them to just return it to me. They charged me $200 for an oiling and cleaning service and $50 to pack ship and insure it. I tried to reason with them and my appeal was shot down. My impression is that this outfit is a slick well-oiled machine designed to separate trusting people from their hard earned cash who have hopes to restore items that often have sentimental value. if that's their business model, it worked on me. Luckily, my new job is located just 15 minutes from this location and I was able come here during my late lunch hour and have them replace the batteries in my Rado Diastar Chronograph Watch and Philip Stein Chronograph Teslar Watch! What was great was that the Lifetime Batteries I bought for them from the Woodfield shop were still valid and so I was able to get them replaced for free without having to start over again! Very honorable business! I do plan on bringing my other watches in my 40-50-watch collection, even if I have to make the shlep up to Vernon Hills -- it is well worth it! This location is in a great mall, with a lot of great stores and restaurants all around it to tide me over while I wait for them to work on my watches. (For this visit, it only took 30 minutes for the awesome lady who helped me out, to replace the batteries.) Also: The Lifetime Battery deal they have is a great deal; glad I don't have to pay for a new battery every time it dies -- such a great value!

After 2 weeks I went to pick it up during the posted business hours and no one was there. I called the phone number and I heard a message that tells you they're not there, and to not leave a message. I tried calling several times during the day, and no one picked up until about 15 minutes before the posted closing time. I told him what I was looking for, and was told that he had not gotten to it yet, and to try again next week. I advised him that I wanted to pick up the clock and take it somewhere else, and asked if he would be there the next day, which he said that he would. I am now sitting outside of the store during the posted business hours, and once again no one is here. How can they run a business this way? I rarely write reviews, but if you need to get your clock repaired avoid this place at all costs.
