Our host Charles, was warm, welcoming and helpful. He made an amazing breakfast, and created a joyful, inviting atmosphere in the breakfast area. It was the perfect finish to a fun filled weekend. Eating away from home is challenging and often unappetizing for me due to several food allergies (of which I notified the owners when booking). They did not bat an eye at my food restrictions, and assured me they could accommodate my needs. So refreshing and DELICIOUS! Thank you Charles and Kristin for a lovely experience!

Jen the proprietor was delightful and joined us for breakfast on our first morning, prepared by her. It was quite a spread. Just let her know what you want the night before and you get it and a whole lot more. We caught a glimpse of Jen's husband but it seems like Jen is the "out front" person. We are going to ride horses later today. We are not familiar with horses and have each only been on a horse once in our lives but we like trying new stuff. Jen has assured us there will be no galloping or cantering and will provide a lesson before we saddle up. It is Early April 12pm around 45 degrees. We moved our ride to 12pm so it would be a bit warmer. My wife rode Domino I rode Hank. We had a lot of fun. We actually trotted for a bit. Jen was great. Our room is cozy but large on the second floor with a constellation on the ceiling. A private bath with double sink. Very nice. If you like cats like we do you will love the place. There are 7 4 inside and 3 outside we met them all. Very friendly. There is one dog also a friendly fellow. The house was immaculate. We took a hot tub on our last evening here and it was very nice. Tomorrow our final breakfast then back on the road A very enjoyable stay. Nancy & Mark.

The room was warm and inviting with a fireplace and treats for late night snacks. I enjoyed raising the blinds in the morning to let the sun in. Jen and her family are some of the most laid back, welcoming people I have met. The breakfasts were world class and delicious, made by Jen. I purchased her cookbook to ensure I had the opportunity to enjoy the dishes again! I highly recommend staying at First Farm Inn. I know I will definitely go back.

She was flexible with all of our needs, including a late check-in, an early checkout, and various dietary needs. She packed us a small breakfast for the road, which included homemade pastries, and a sweet note. We stayed in the Margaret Rose room, which was a well-decorated room with plenty of space. Notably the bathroom is across the hall from the bedroom, and could be shared with the Rebecca room but there was not an occupant in that room when we stayed. It is along the main path where other guests may use to get to and leave their own rooms. We did not mind this as we enjoyed the other guests, and they were not loud or constantly coming and going. The common areas are also very cozy, with a living room close by our room on the second floor and by the dining area on the third floor. Additionally, I believe all of the rooms are on the second floor and above, so this may be an issue if you have difficulty navigating stairs. It is in a great and safe location. We never had issue with street parking. It is a short distance from the Clifton neighborhood and the medical campus. Again, we are thrilled to have stayed here and would definitely come back the next time we visit Cincinnati!

I booked one of properties owned by Red Whale Rentals via VRBO and it was an absolute nightmare…read more Due to Covid we had to cancel our wedding and do something small with just family. A couple months before the event booked one of their properties to for my siblings, husband, and I to stay in after our small legal ceremony. Most of our family is in Dayton/Cincinnati so we were having a small gathering at a restaurant Mt Adams. I noticed there was a max capacity set for people to stay over but asked if a couple family members could meet there before walking up the restaurant. They said no, they regulate with a camera the people coming in and out. This was fine, we made other arrangements. ONE WEEK before our wedding they cancelled our stay. They were completely aware it was our wedding and we had even discussed possibly booking other properties with them for the weekend. When I inquired about why the stay had been cancelled they simply said they needed to make more money off of longer stays and were only offering long term stays. Cleary they only care about themselves and their personal profit. They couldn't even wait one week until after our wedding to open it up to long term stays. I understand COVID was a hard, especially for small businesses like them. However, COVID had already ruined our original wedding and then they left my out of town siblings with no where to stay. At that point ONE WEEK before the wedding there no other rentals available in Cincinnati for 6+ people. If you value people over profit like us, don't use Red Whale Rentals.

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Symphony Hotel when we attended a concert at Memorial Hall. We really love the place. The location is fantastic. The lounge and the restaurant were nice to have on property. Having spent many years in hospitality and many more years traveling for work my wife and I both noticed things that keep your property from being the best it can be. For the past 20 years we have stayed in different Marriott properties with comparable pricing and amenities to the Symphony. The Symphony did not come close to the standard of the cheapest Marriott. We hope you can take our comments and improve upon what could be a great property. We were greeted wonderfully and attentively by Worley. He did a great job communicating and making sure we had reservations at Vivaldis, which as it turned out were not needed. However he was in shorts and a T-shirt. I get it, times have changed. But for the traveler we don't think decorum has changed quite that much. Our whole stay the uniform for management seemed to be T-shirts and casual shorts. Very unprofessional. I would expect that at a motel charging $69 per night. Not a boutique hotel in the $150+ range. When we got to the room we noticed several little things that added up quickly. You could tell the room had been given a cursory dusting just around items on horizontal surfaces. The lamps and such and behind things had not been touched. In quite a while. One lamp was leaning and loose on its base. A 30 second fix at most. Our AC was malfunctioning when we arrived. It was leaking profusely. Whilst it was taken care of in a timely manner the fact that someone had not checked the room prior to our arrival is a bit of a let down. Especially considering the number of rooms you have. When we picked up one of the glasses provided for guests to drink from we found it was stuck to the table. Cleaning solution? Someone else's beverage? No idea. Luckily we carry our own glasses with us just in case. The coffee machine had a used pod in it showing it had not been cleaned or checked. It also had a blinking light indicating it needs a descaling. There were mismatched mugs which could be a fun thing, except based on what was in the 'breakfast' area it did not need to be. The coffee was not checked when someone brought up towels leaving us having to ask for a coffee refresh. Dinner was good, but not great. The menu did not match up to the one online though and a couple of items we were looking forward to were no on the menu. The barrata should have been room temperature but was straight out of the refrigerator cold. Our Ravioli was very underdone, not even close to al dente. We told our waitress we were attending the concert, but when it came time to pay our bill I had to hunt her down. As it turned out she forgot we were there. I'm not sure how that even happens. After the concert we went to the little rooftop patio that Worley had shown us. There was very little lighting and only half of that was working. It could have been a great space. The grab and go breakfast could be a nice touch, but the presentation was less than professional. Items were in original containers rather than in carafes. It did not look well attended to. It looked more tossed together. Overall the place is saved thanks to being a lot of fun with the rooms, the theme, and the location. Otherwise I'm not sure we would even consider returning.
