I've been using The Cleaning Authority for almost a year and have nothing but good things to say. I love the rotation plan, it's so nice to have the extra attention so my whole house stays super clean. I mean, they take the cushions off the couch and vacuum them - now that's attention to detail y'all! Any time I have a question, Ariel is helpful and always prompt to respond. And my cleaning team, Alva and Julia, are amazing!! I have very high standards and they meet them every time. They work quickly but thoroughly and always leave my house looking beautiful. They are so sweet and very professional - I am happy to welcome them into my home. I happily and highly recommend The Cleaning Authority to anyone. No more stress and frustration trying to keep my house clean! So grateful I found them. read more

The only thing they were consistent about was being late and doing a terrible job. They missed many large areas, and we had to have them come back frequently. They "offer" to come back, but it usually wasn't even worth the headache to have them come back because they would just do a bad job again. Scheduling is a nightmare; they almost never show up on time and do not provide any communication about when they will show up. I regret we used them as long as we did. They charged us an outrageous amount for a move out clean that left so much unfinished (see pictures) that we had to hire a completely different set of cleaners on extremely short notice. This is the worst cleaning service I have ever dealt with. read more

Do not recommend. The cleaning quality is inconsistent and rushed, becoming progressively worse over the year that I've used this company. It's rarely the same team, which contributes to the inconsistency. I stayed for the convenience of a regular schedule. During the most recent visit, the cleaners were in my home for about 40 minutes of a scheduled 1 hour and 10 minutes (arrived at 8:36, left at 9:16). When accounting for the fact that it's a team of 3 people, that's roughly an hour and a half of cleaning time that I was billed for but did not receive. When I contacted The Cleaning Authority's main line, they were polite and mentioned the system still showed an active cleaning and that management would follow up. I received a completion notification at 9:57. At this point, I remembered I had the San Diego number and tried my luck there. Laura confirmed it showed the team marked the service complete much later than I had logged them leaving. In other words, the service time did not reflect what actually occurred in my home. Instead of addressing that discrepancy with a solution, my concerns were met with pushback and an unprofessional tone. I requested a refund, and management refused, though they offered to send the team back the next day. I declined and canceled the service. I don't want to monitor the time the team is spending, request follow-ups, and micro-manage the team's cleaning. At that point, I was fed up, and canceling and forfeiting the service fee for that day would provide more peace of mind. read more

There are a lot of choices when it comes to cleaning your home. I did not have this company do my cleaning because they were so unfriendly and difficult to communicate with read more

I was very happy with my first cleaning, but later experienced declining quality. After a scheduling issue, the company rescheduled my cleaning to a day I wasn't home. I specifically called beforehand to remind them that I had indoor cats and asked them to be careful. When I returned home, I found my security gate locked from the inside, requiring a locksmith to get in, and one of my indoor cats had escaped and spent the night outside. Thankfully he was found unharmed the next morning. The owner responded promptly, apologized, offered a 50% discount on the cleaning, and ultimately concluded that his company wasn't the right fit for my needs. read more

Fanny & Eva have been the best team cleaning my home for quite a few years now, I think they've been coming since late 2017. They are very thorough and professional. It is annoying that I need to call in the morning each day that they are scheduled to find out approximately what time they will arrive, but once they're here, they do a good job. Thank you! read more

I want to make others aware of issues that may arise with the Cleaning Authority. Generally the service has been handy, and for the most part do a pretty good job. My issue with them stems from their continuing unpredictable time of arrival. When I contracted for their service my agreement included my being their first customer of the day to avoid these long periods of waiting for them to finish another home before coming to mine. That was the agreement, and my reasons for this request was explained in detail; 1st, my husband works from home and his business includes telephone conferences beginning at 9:00; vacuum cleaners and loud chatter between those cleaning make it impossible to hear. Therefore, the sooner they get here the sooner my husband is comfortable that he will not be interrupted. As of this moment it's 10:15 and they've just begun vacuuming and my husband is on his call. 2nd I have an elderly pet that needs to be enclosed to avoid the noise, and can be a tripping hazard while scurrying from room to room. This also means he's locked away from his sandbox, which is heavy and difficult to move. So again, the sooner the arrival the better; he can't keep his legs crossed for hours. 3rd and lastly, I sooner their arrival the sooner I can begin my day. I cannot leave this house until they're through; I too have things to accomplish. It's more than just irritating when you're promised 'between 8 and 8:30" because you'll be the 1st in line, then have to call to ask 'where are they' at 9:00, only to be told, 'well we had a meeting this morning', or 'our policy 'we told you between 8 and 9', which isn't correct, or this morning being told after calling at 9, that 'we have a 2 hour window', which is preposterous! I never would have agreed to that. I have no complaints about the women who come to clean. They've all been sweet and very polite. My aggregation is solely on their, we'll get their when we get there attitude at a long time customer . Sent from my iPadI read more

I called Cleaning Authority to mop floors, clean ceiling fans and clean windows for an empty rental home that had otherwise already been cleaned. They charged a $75 deposit. When I received their email confirmation, it indicated that they do not clean windows. I called back and cancelled because I had clearly said that I needed windows cleaned. They refused to refund my $75 deposit! read more

I have been using The Cleaning Authority for 2 years now. Before I used independent people but I thought I'd try a company. I'm very pleased with the service. I get the same 3 ladies, which I like. Lupita, Itcel and Magnolia. Very professional and very thorough. They don't spend any time talking they just come in and start working. they have a list of the places they will clean that day and will assist in other areas if asked. They work quickly and efficiently. I have nothing but praise for these women. read more

We've used The Cleaning Authority at our residence for many years. Ariel and Laura are very attentive and responsive to our needs. The crews are great. Recently, our cleaning crew of Brenda, Aby, and Shawn did a great job and met the specific requests we had. Overall, very happy with the services, customer service, and care for our home. read more

These people made getting a cleaner way too difficult. I don't want the whole house done, just certain things. That was a massive challenge for them to understand that I clean most of my own house, and needed help with only a few things ONE TIME as we were getting ready for a home showing. I went with a national chain because in the end, all the locals were too difficult to work with, including these people. I'd have preferred to give my business to a small local, but it unfortunately was too much of a challenge. read more

I have been using The Cleaning Authority for my house cleaning needs since April 2019 and have to say that generally speaking they are a pretty good service. Whereas the heavier initial cleanings are really outstanding, the maintenance ones have been a bit uneven in quality, depending on the team that's sent, but there are some members of the cleaning team that are outstanding - such as JAZMIN is! She was part of the team that came to my home for the two initial cleanings and then after that, I hadn't seen her come back. Today, JAZMIN was part of the team that was assigned to my home and boy does it show! She is FIVE STAR material.... the ultimate professional, courteous, respectful and thorough. She also works well with anyone else she is paired with and is discreet. All wonderful qualities that should be rewarded! Cleaning Authority is lucky to have her. I just wish I could always count on her coming to my home. I have requested it many times... maybe Ariel will give me that gift. Please?! Today's team also consisted of Julia and Claudia (not the norm to have 3-person teams - usually 2) --- they were both very good as well. Today's team was the very best so far. Speaking of ARIEL -- he's been wonderful and accommodating...for example: I had to change one of my dates and he was able to accommodate me nicely. After one of the regular cleanings I mentioned before that were not what was expected, he was quick to try and make things right. He always answers emails promptly and goes the extra mile for his clients. I hope Jazmin, Julia and Claudia are given the points they need to make the bonus! They totally deserve it! read more

I have been using The Cleaning Authority for a few years now. They are prompt, professional and know how to do their jobs. I really like the team that works on my house. They come regularly and they know exactly what I need done. They have a schedule as to what the areas of emphasis are each time they come which I really like. They clean the whole house but every week they do an extra concentration on an area such as the bathrooms, etc. Ariel does the scheduling. I rarely need a change in time and date, but when I do I give him as much notice as possible and he is very accommodating. What's really good about the system is that he has many teams so that they can accommodate changes. However, you never want to change too much if you like your regular team. Kennia and Kavina are wonderful. They are so pleasant and really want to make sure that I am happy when the house is complete. I am very pleased with their work. read more

I've been using The Cleaning Authority for the past six months. Ariel, the manager, is very responsive to inquiries and special needs. The rates are very reasonable and I particularly like that the same crew comes most weeks. Betty and Betsy get to know my home and personal preferences which makes the service all the better. Each week, Betty and Betsy do a thorough cleaning of the house and I've been very pleased with their work and would recommend them and this service. This has saved me hours of time that I can devote to hobbies and other enjoyable activities. Coming home to a clean home and having that time back is well worth the reasonable cost of having such a great service. read more

We had very poor service. The cleaners did not come at the agreed emailed time and we were treated rudely after calling about it. They missed one room completely and did not clean our kitchen floor at all. They also destroyed a bath mat and left it in the tub instead of disposing of it and did not inform us of it. They were receptive to trying to fix the situation so I do appreciate that. read more

Darn, I wanted to be the first to write a review for The Cleaning Authority in San Diego. Oh well. I'm happy to be able to add my 5 star review for the team. I've been very happy with the service provided by this company, and the prices are very fair. Not being used to a cleaning service, I was a little nervous and uncomfortable at first, definitely having that feeling of, "I need to clean up before the cleaners come..." After the first regular visit, those feelings of anxiety faded. I'm not one to need green cleaning supplies used in my home - in fact, I've always been partial to harsh chemicals because I feel like they do the job best. However, TCA uses green products and everything is always sparkling and fresh. I LOVE having a clean bathroom and kitchen, in particular. I like that they take out the garbage, fold the toilet paper (a nice touch!) and dust everything well. I have a cat who is a bit of a spaz, and I always worry that he's going to be freaked out by the cleaners, but aside from once getting shut in a room, he's been fine. Ariel and his wife are nice people who seem to genuinely care about making a positive impression and providing superior service. They are just getting off the ground and seem to be hitting their stride. Ariel is very responsive to emails and texts. The Cleaning Authority is a welcome new addition to San Diego's home cleaning market. I think we'll see great things from them. read more

It is a pleasure to write a five star review for The Cleaning Authority. I contacted Ariel based on the Yelp reviews. My fellow Yelpers are absolutely correct! I asked that they clean my 90 year old mother-in-laws home. She has never had anyone clear her home and was apprehensive. Sara and Chuey (sp??) are amazing. They did a fabulous job on both cleanings. They are patient and kind. They treated my mother-in-laws items (you can imagine.... many many small figurines, etc.) with care. The home is spotless and dust free. Smells lovely! They only use eco friendly products - an added bonus. We are scheduling every two weeks with pleasure. We highly recommend The Cleaning Authority - who will treat your home as if it were theirs - with attention to detail and kindness. Applause! Applause! read more

The Cleaning Authority is like pressing the reset button. I just moved out of a house that I rented for the past 5 years. I got my full deposit back because their team did an excellent job at deep cleaning! Refrig, oven, scrubbed walls and floors. The place looked new when I had left. The owner gave me an accurate fair estimate beforehand so there were no surprises in the end. Excellent job. Definitely worth it! read more

WOW!! Incredibly wonderful experience with The Cleaning Authority! Everything from the start to finish was great. Ariel was very communicative up front with setting expectations and explaining the process. He came out to provide an estimate of time for the deep initial clean. The day of our first clean, Cecilia and Cristina, showed up in a timely manner (I was told ahead of time a range for the start time since they were doing another initial clean before ours). They were incredibly professional and courteous and kind. They were even super nice to our dog, who spent a little time following them around to investigate the activity :) They level of the cleaning far exceeded my expectations! Everything is SO SPARKLY clean!! I almost lost my mind when I walked through the kitchen and saw them scrubbing the outsides of the cabinets and cleaning the grill in our range hood fan. Our house is cleaner than when we first moved in. Cobwebs gone. Scum I thought was permanent in the shower gone. Water mineral buildup on the kitchen sink gone. I seriously don't have a single thing to point out that was not taken care of. This was such a treat after a terrible experience with Handy, which almost scared me away from the concept of having someone clean our house completely! Oh, and the cherry on sundae is that they use all GREEN products too. Yay!! Thanks so much for doing an amazingly incredible job and treating our home like it was your own with the attention to detail and care! You have won us over!! We can't wait to share you with our friends! read more
