Through the years, I have been treated by both Nurse Practitioner Mark Stoner. and Nurse Practitioner, Dayna Iverson. My experience with both has been exceptional. The reason I decided to write this review is much more of an appreciation for the great work done on the part of Mark Stoner. I have been experiencing extreme pain in my back and body for some time. Often, physicians and nurses will fill a Schedule II controlled substance prescription, prior to finding out the root of the patient's pain. However, not at Pathway Healthcare! Instead, they go deeper with their patients, by getting to know them a little better, and working to find a solution to the problem, and not just a quick pain relief, "fix." My story is that instead of rushing to put me on Norco or anything of the sort, I was given Ibuprofen and immediately referred to a local Neurologist. The Neurologist's test results revealed that I needed to be sent to UCSF for even further testing. So, to make an even longer story shorter, I am now going to have surgery at UCSF. After surgery and some physical therapy, I should be good as new! The bottom line is that none of this would be happening had I not been under the careful watch of Pathway Healthcare in Oakdale, California. I am forever grateful!

I can't say enough about the totally different kind of care I received. There are wonderful people in every step of the process here. From the friendly ladies at check in, to the aquatic area staff, they are all great. When I walked in for my scheduled appointment, the manager publicly announced in front of the entire waiting room that I had an "outstanding balance." Not only do they have my current health insurance information on file, but I also consistently pay my dues on time. Instead of handling this discrepancy discreetly, the manager proceeded to call billing and my insurance company right there in front of everyone, showing a complete disregard for basic patient privacy and respect. Because of this unnecessary and embarrassing scene, I missed my scheduled chiropractor time slot. I was forced to get my massage first, which is completely out of my normal treatment routine. To make matters worse, when I finished the massage and Dr. Hughes took me back for my adjustment, the manager actually interrupted the session. She walked in and questioned Dr. Hughes about why he was seeing me instead of another patient. Dr. Hughes was forced to explain and defend himself, pointing out that I was bumped from my original time slot specifically because of the insurance delay she had caused at the front desk. Dr. Hughes handled the situation well, but the manager's lack of discretion, terrible scheduling management, and blatant disrespect for both patients and the medical staff make it very difficult to recommend this clinic. Patients deserve privacy and a stress-free environment, neither of which were provided by management during my visit.
