I have been without a chiropractor for well over a year. I was reluctant to seek another chiropractor because my last two were upper Cervical only. Necessity pushed me to seek another chiropractor for my body's needs. I searched the web and actually researched the info on the doctors I found. Dr. Fair caught my eye with his hands on approach . First of all , I think Dr. Fair is part comedian he's hella funny ! I initially found this place through yelp and seen the Amazing reviews and that's usually how I trust a place . However , I am so impressed by Dr. Fair and the whole office team . Not only are they always busy but they treat you like they've known you forever and as if you are apart of a family. They ALWAYS answer the phone . For the amount of patients that come in and for them to answer the phone so quickly , it really just made me feel like they are willing to support you in healing . I can initially because I had a large left lateral disc extrusion haha and it has been a journey . But I found Dr fair and without me knowing any of that medical Lingo I don't really care because I know and now trust that Dr fair is extremely knowledgeable in that because since I have been going , each visit I can attest that the pain level has been decreasing or as they say "centralizing" back to where it originated. Joseph Fair gave me my life back, a life without chronic back pain. I got a terrible injury when I was playing football during community college. I was bedridden, i could not run anymore, walking was a difficult task and my mental health was greatly impacted because of this. I gained a ton of weight, my girl left me and I was in constant pain which meant that I could not even work a job. I have spent thousands of dollars and have gone to over a dozen chiropractors who all preached yoga and stretching which helped temporarily but it did not fix the issue. I went into Joseph Fair's office and he helped adjust my back and make sure I was pain free while I was under his care but he even went beyond that. Mr. Fair on his days off took me to his gym and showed me how to strengthen my back through weight training. It took awhile and I was consistent with the protocol that he gave me but it absolutely worked. This makes sense since many people that get MRI's have herniated/desiccated discs but experience zero symptoms of back pain but have strong backs. So for me I just started slowly and progressively strengthening my back. Joseph Fair was the only chiropractor that did not give up on me and I am glad that I followed through with his advice. Of course my back will never be like it was before the injury. If I am driving in the car for an excessive amount of time or sitting down for hours I will experience some discomfort in my lower back but other then that I have zero chronic pain. Now I can deadlift 315lbs, backsquat 275lbs, overhead press 155lbs, leg press 730lbs with my weight being only 165lbs. amazing numbers even with a good spine, all of these exercises put massive strain on the back but yet I am able to perform them. My life is incredible now, I train everyday, I have a great career, a great girlfriend and I am looking forward to my new life and it was all because of this man. Well I'm happy to add another five-star review for Dr. Fair. I have been getting chiropractic treatments for over 30 years in the Monterey Bay area and I attribute much of my good health to this mode of treatment. Dr. Fair is very knowledgeable and efficient with his adjustments. I was in need of a "tune-up" to keep everything in place and working right, and I was delighted at the supplemental deep tissue work he does! The deep tissue work was painful, but in a good way, and it got rid of some nagging sciatic distress that I had strangely gotten used to, even though as a yoga instructor I should have known better. ENGLISH Dr. Fair in the first consultation identified my discomfort, a pain in the lower back that had me using a walker, lower back brace, and taking very strong pills that I was prescribed for two weeks from Kaiser. After the first appointment I went came out walking with only a lower back brace for support and with the practically 0 pain that same day. So let me start by saying, I did not know Dr. Fair prior to my first visit, nor was I provided any incentive for this review. I didn't become aware of him through friends or family... I read Yelp reviews- just as you are doing now... and that is what made me decide to set-up an appointment with him. I have only met with Dr. Fair once (so far), this past Wednesday afternoon (06/07/22). I normally wouldn't post a review after only one visit, but I was so impressed by my appointment, treatment, and follow-up care... that I felt the need to post this... A little history... In 2013 I had a devastating injury/diagnosis that caused nerve damage in the right side of my upper body. I was eventually diagnosed with Parsonage-Turner Syndrome. It's fairly rare... At that time, I did physical therapy and saw a Chiropractor with a specialty in Active Release Technique (ART). ART was one of the few treatments that helped. In time, my symptoms became better as my nerves healed and I have been at about 95% function ever since. I weight train on a regular basis. It's one of my favorite things to do- so keeping my body in good working condition is exceptionally important to me. Over the years I have had random issues stemming from the aforementioned nerve damage. On Monday morning while weight training my upper body, I felt a tinge of pain in the right side of my neck. I immediately got concerned (it's like PTSD from my previous experience). Within hours, my neck, trap, rhomboid, shoulder, and lat on the right side started aching... like that deep, perpetual, dreaded ache It felt all too familiar. On Tuesday I decided to look on Yelp and assess reviews for local Chiropractors since it had been years since I had seen one. I saw good reviews for another Chiropractor and set an appointment for later this week... Then it dawned on me that I should really look for someone in more of the sports medicine field. When I came across Dr. Fair, I noticed that a client mentioned he provided ART... SOLD! Canceled my other appointment and booked with Claudia, the Receptionist, for the next day!... I came in to Dr. Fair's office and met with Claudia. She had me complete some paperwork. She was kind and helpful - just as I had experienced when I initially called the office and asked her a bunch of questions. I then sat with Dr. Fair and gave him a rundown of my previous issues and spoke to him about my current concerns. Dr. Fair seemed genuinely interested in what I had to say. He asked a lot of questions and was attentive. I even mentioned that I have a torn meniscus and he was eager to determine the underlying issue causing that as well (tight IT band)... It was nice to speak to a professional who seemed to understand me. Like telling him that I felt this tinge of pain when performing an incline press on the Smith with 145... I didn't have to provide further explanation... haha... Dr. Fair then got more hands on and assessed some of the main issues. He determined for my first appointment that a combination of adjustments and ART would be best. Now if you've never had ART before- I will tell you... it can be intense. It's like a deep tissue release... I knew what to expect and although it is uncomfortable, I know the outcome will be very worth it! Dr. Fair finished up and only charged me for ART; which was really cool of him... Dr. Fair was down to earth, enthusiastic, and easy to talk to. I paid Claudia and set up another appointment for late next week. Dr. Fair wanted me to get a couple of training sessions in so we can assess my condition. Now here's the bonus... The following day I received a text from a number I didn't recognize. When I opened it, I was surprised to see it was from Dr. Fair. He was checking on me and wanted to know how I was feeling. I sent him a wordy text about the days' experience... I wanted him to know that I noticed a substantial difference already!... Dr. Fair responded with feedback and tips. He then told me to text him with any questions or concerns before my next appointment if needed. Wow... That is super rad! Needless to say, I'm looking forward to my future sessions. Whether you are an athlete, dealing with old injuries, or having the basic aches and pains from sitting at a desk all day, you should give Dr. Fair a shot. The prices are reasonable, especially when paying out of pocket (like myself)... The hours are good- especially for an early evening appointment!... and they're very accommodating and can get you in quick! read more

First off Dr. Fair is hilarious! He's efficient, solves the problem you're having and you're on your way! I found him here on yelp about six months ago, I have been going ever since. He asks you a series of questions about your aches and pains. He figures out what he needs to do, boom within a few minutes your body is YOURS again and pain is a far memory. The receptionist is super friendly and very helpful. The prices you cannot beat, I thought I would be paying a million dollars, bc my insurance wasn't covered, but it was not so! Took the time to explain in detail what could be happening after he LISTENED to me explain what been going on (even providing a few pics and a demonstration of what, where, and why). The appointment was maybe 30/45 mins, including the consultation. He made some quick adjustments and explained what was expected prior to each. I visited this office when I was around 8 months pregnant and new to the area. His hip adjustment was WAY too rough for me being that far along in my pregnancy, and the adjustment didn't help. I left feeling scared that he hurt my baby (like squished his head or something). I've had many adjustments during pregnancy from other chiropractors. I would NOT recommend this chiropractor to expecting mothers. My son (who is now born) has a pinched looking forhead, I now wonder if this may have been caused by the way too aggressive hip adjustment. read more

I was looking for a chiropractor near me who could take me in same day since I had awaken with a pain in my lower back that left me unable to look down or bend over. Luckily Dr.Fair saw me that same day, and I won't be going anywhere else from now on. He made sure to ask questions before he did anything, and went over different possibilities for the cause of my pain.
