I started coming to Dr. Romo at the end of February 2025 (now mid-May) to figure out some issues I was having with my hands and arms (thinking it was pinched nerve but wanted professional view). From the initial call in to make an appointment, they were quick to get me in and started. At my first visit, we did what I expected; we talked about what I was dealing with, got vitals, and an X-Ray. They do send you offsite as they do not have the ability to do them in house. Though it would have been really convenient to have in house, it was a pretty quick trip to and through the facility to get the X-Ray done. The X-Ray got sent to Dr. Romo almost immediately which helped him work in a plan for my future visits. I didn't notice immediate results for the initial reason for my visit but all the adjustments thus far have helped me in other ways. I have started to notice much less tingling and numbing sensations over the last 2.5 months of adjustments and my back and neck feel so much lighter. Dr.Romo is great at his work. He gets you in and out with ease. He is intentional with the visits and I appreciate the extra attention when I express discomfort in the hands or feet. He makes the time to do quick relief adjustment (I.e. in my hands when I've expressed issues with thumbs). The staff; Giselle and Kat are easy to work with. They are kind and welcoming. They are quick to help and get things going with any request. Giselle sends appt reminders without delay; she is quick to respond to emails. I appreciate the office's prompt communication. Was informed over the phone they did FMLA paperwork for patients who need it. Scheduled an appointment and the doctor came in and said he doesn't do FMLA. Very unprofessional to provide patients with conflicting information and waste their time! Didn't give me any reason just said he doesn't do FMLA. But then replies to this review and says I didn't qualify after the fact. Get your story straight! Calls himself professional but flat out lies to patients to their face. Some sort of a weird power trip dynamic. Definitely don't recommend this guy!! Likes to air out peoples medical status as seen in the comment below. Should be a HIPAA violation. Very narcissistic and nasty attitude. Shouldn't be in practice at all. read more

Found my former massage therapist, Eddie, after 12 years of looking for him! His hands are magic! He's in demand and when there's a cancellation, the front calls me right away! With the 30 or 60 minute massage, I just pay my co-pay which is amazing! Regular massages are at least 50 dollars! Also, I enjoy the chiropractor, Dr. Romo as well. He listens to me and will adjust accordingly. He has great bedside manner! Don't cut me off, listens carefully. He doesn't minimize my pain whatsoever. I see him weekly and out of all the chiropractors I've seen in the area, he's the best I've come across! Kudos to the front desk staff Giselle! I never had a massage before that used pressure points and I'm hooked now! He listened to my concerns and was able to work around some of the pain I was having. I've never had a massage therapist able to accomplish what he did. I used my second Groupon and the next massage was just as great. I've already made my next appointment. I highly recommend him! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars in because the massage table only has a sheet that covers you and I usually like something thicker buuuut it's not a deal breaker. Give him a try! Five star. I went in with severe pain in my back and left leg, from my sciatic nerve. I couldn't walk any more than 20 steps at a time, before I would have to stop and attempt to stretch, to relieve the discomfort. It was on my fourth visit I was starting to get good results. On my eighth visit I was able to walk around for a shopping trip at Costco. When I got home I realized that I was pain free. I'm grateful that someone else that had experienced this pain and found relief through Dr. Romo passed this information on to me. read more

These people are an absolute joke. If I could give less than one star, I would. I went here after I moved to Modesto, for severe pain in my right shoulder blade area. It was difficult to turn my head to the side, or move my arm, and caused a very bad headache. It was clear there was a pinched nerve, and I needed an adjustment. Upon walking into the office, I was assaulted with the strongest cologne smell ever. Smelling this cologne practically had me vomiting. When I was brought back to "Dr" Romo's overly compensating office, the Mob-like-cologne-drenched assistant came at me with 20 questions, which was incredibly irritating. When "Dr" Romo came in, he finished their 40 point questionairre. Sometimes when I'd answer a question, he would look at me like I was an idiot. How close am I to the window when I sleep. How many pillows do I sleep on. Do I sleep with the window open. A cursory physical evaluation on the table IN HIS OFFICE was painful. While he acted like I was a pain in his side, he poked and prodded different areas. Having me sit back up, he declared I have Torticollis. He decided I would need several treatments over the next several months, and had his Mob-like-cologne-drenched assistant write up a treatment plan that would have me coming back three times a week for months. What a racket! He took me to another room, and did what he considered an "adjustment". He caused so much pain in my shoulder that I started to cry. Incidentally, I rarely cry from pain. He acted like I was being a big baby. Then sent me to the massage therapist, who worked on my shoulder and back for a while. THAT was actually pleasant, and probably the only thing that worked in my favor. Then she took me to yet another room, and had me lying on a table hooked up to electrodes for a while. These people are honestly running a scam. To throw out a diagnosis that would require many visits is simply a racket to get money. I consulted with my regular chiropractor I used before moving here, and he confirmed my suspicions. No, I do not have torticollis, and after time the pinched nerve resolved itself. Second trip here and it was better, I am glad that I got to consult with Dr. Romo after my 60 min massage because I no longer feel my rhomboid being very tight and painful due to subluxation. I like to start my reviews with something positive so I must say they have a nice to average environment. The parking works if you don't mind parking a ways away from his office and taking a moderate walk. Romo Chiropractic probably has a lease in one of these strip maul places where 20 places shares the parking and runs low sometimes. Dr. Romo is a chiropractor that gave me a brief exam. He seems to like to poke ribs and back areas. I use the term exam loosely because he did not spend much time with me. My adjustment was awkward. I have been treated by many chiropractors for and I seldom feel pain when I am adjusted but he was too dependent on brute force. The over dressed office manager gave me a questionnaire packet that was more preying into my personal habits than getting my health history. This Doctor and his staff, relatives and friends write fake reviews. I notice that Yelp does Not recommend over half of the review written for this doctor. Many of his 5 star reviews are very short. I think you will find many not recommended 5 star reviews on other rating websites too. Years ago He worked for Dr Hill, then he moved to Coffee Road to work for another group of docs with a funny name like The Hope Place or the Back fixer but that group of docs went broke and dissolved. Dr Romo acts like he should have been a salesman rather that a Doctor. I rate him one star because he worked more on talking me into a long periods of care rather than helping them get healthy. I don't think he has x-ray capabilities because when I asked a bone structure question he seemed uninterested in answering or finding out. He is not really a bad doctor as he has not put in the work ito be a really good doctor, I am critical of his so ethical business practices. My family has been coming to Dr. Romo for years. We enjoy the fast friendly service with a smile. Dr Romo and his staff do a great job taking care of our family's health. My daughter was seen for a broke tail bone injury. Dr. Romo took great care of her. She's felling better and is back to being pain free. I seen him after a car accident I was in. I'd been experiencing pain in my right hip for some time when I first tried Romo Chiropractic. My orthopedist has recommended surgery but first wanted me to go through a stint of physical therapy. While I believe the physical therapist was doing all he could, it didn't help me at all. In fact, I left every physical therapy session feeling worse than I had when I arrived. When I complained to a friend, they recommended I see Dr. Romo. I live in Hayward, which is quite a distance from Dr. Romo's office. But, my friend re-assured me that it would be worth the trip. So, I arranged an appointment on the way home from a client site in Lodi and gave it a try. My first impression of Dr. Romo was very good. He seemed very interested in what I had to say and spent an inordinate amount of time making sure I'd described everything to him (I usually feel as though doctors rush me). He recommended we try a few things and began treating me. I could tell he was very experienced in adjusting people, he "cracked" my joints effortlessly (my neck always seemed to be a problem for my first chiropractor). The combination of some exercise, an adjustment, some heat and stim (you know, when they electrocute you :-) ) was a big help. I left the office feeling relief after just one visit. I try see him every time I'm in the valley now. My hip pain hasn't gone completely away (I probably still need surgery), but I have relief from it for a day or two every time I see him. read more

To be fair I have not seen the chiropractor yet. I originally scheduled two visits with their masseuse Eddie Panales C.M.T. I got an amazing deal on Groupon, 2 one-hour massages for $50! I had never had a professional massage before. Eddie was very professional, knowledgeable and made me feel at ease right away. He asked questions and was patient with me and guided me through the process. Whatever hesitation I had with massages previously were dispelled within the first few minutes. He advised me that first time patient might feel sore after the first visit and strongly advised me to drink lots of water to flush out toxins. I was sore but not a bad feeling. The second session I enjoyed the benefits much more and left feeling euphoric. Definitely worth the full-price had I not gotten the Groupon. I was so elated with the excellent experience I've scheduled a new patient appointment with the chiropractor. I encourage anyone who is on the fence about this to allow yourself to be pampered! Just got a Groupon for a one-hour massage and I was so pleasantly surprised. I wasn't sure what to expect, since the last Groupon massage I had was really bad (not from here, a different place), and I feel like sometimes you get less than excellent service if the provider knows you've gotten an online deal. But that was definitely not the case. I filled out the paperwork, was escorted back, and I told my therapist what areas I wanted him to focus on. He started out on my upper back and I started to worry he wouldn't have enough time to focus on my lower back and butt (I have severe endometriosis and I have been in agony for a few weeks now) but he did an amazing job. I feel so much relief in my hips and while it hurt to take my pants off because the muscles in my butt hurt so bad I could barely bend my leg, I hardly felt any pain putting them back on. Everyone was incredibly friendly and I felt like the genuinely appreciated my business. Not only that, but my therapist did an excellent job relieving a lot of tension in my neck, shoulders, and spine. My hips are way out of alignment (more than one session could help) but I feel better than I have in days and I am so incredibly grateful!! I've been needing a massage for about 2 years now, due to poor sitting posture when studying for exams and finals. My boyfriend finally got me a 60 min massage on Groupon. I was 20 min late due to a semi that flipped over on the freeway and was afraid I'll only get the remaining 40 min. Nope! I got the whole hour for a full body massage. He did an excellent job. I would've fallen asleep had it not been for the stuffed up nose when I was laying on my stomach. He used the right amount of pressure, which is subjective because I know some will find that too rough. I told my younger sister who is a Certified Massage Therapist in Georgia that I've finally found someone comparable to her. She's good! Don't let that scrawny, 5'4" Asian woman fool you.
