Coolest place - the old bank vault as a humidor is really cool. He always takes my calls on the road and sends me a box quickly at a fair price when I can't get there. The Cigar Vault in Buda, Tx is a great out of the way stop that takes you back to the old cigar rooms of the past. They offer refreshments and comfy leather seating to just sit back and enjoy your smoke. A solid selection of the old standby cigars like Rocky's, Padron's and Fuentes, and they even had a few Acids as well as other lesser known brands. They offered solid advice on choices, and I found a few I wanted to try out with a new single malt Texas whiskey (reviews on both cigars and whiskey later). Anytime I can find an unpretentious cigar shop, I do it. I've grown tired of the big city, hipster joints that have opened up all over. I feel many of them are run by snobs who value their customers by the money they spend. Enjoying a good cigar and a couple fingers of good rye whiskey shouldn't cost you a day's salary. I've had just as much fun smokin' 50 cent cigars and shots of George Dickel as I have smoking $50 Cubans and $250 glasses of Louis XIII. As you age, life starts to become more about the little things as well as the things we do with those we love. So get out there and support the smaller business owners that are sprouting up in towns all across our great land. There's nothing wrong with the super hip cigar bars as long as you have good friends and family to share it with. The Cigar Vault in Buda gets 4 stars because they didn't have my go to Rocky, but it was an exceptionally charming spot to stop. read more

Wow, this little cigar lounge is amazing, I heard so much about the cool atmosphere and the interior with the cigar vault humidor, I just had to come check it out. What they didn't tell me was about the back patio, now that is a great place to chill and relax. What they also didn't tell me was about the people, now when you talk about southern hospitality and Texas gentleman and gentlewoman they aren't kidding. The crew there are fantastic. This place is awesome!!! I was just "sight seeing" in downtown Buda and happened to stumble across this hidden gem. They took an old bank and converters the vault into their humidor. Their is plenty of indoor seating but for those die hard sports fans, they have an outdoor area with a big screen TV and ample chairs and tables. During the cold Texas winter, they even have an outdoor fireplace to sit by and stay warm. If you're lucky, you might be able to watch a soccer game with all the Irish men who are a great time! I've ran into Cigar Vault in Buda when I was looking for a place to smoke a cigar after I picked up my rental car from Austin airport back in November 2020. I should have written my feedback sooner but here it is. I live in North Austin now, but every weekend I find myself driving all the way down here to enjoy a couple cigars and couple pints of Sheamus. I've been to more than 50 cigar lounges all over the world, and this authentic lounge makes it to top 5 for me, hence the reason for the drive south every weekend. The cigar selection is remarkably vast offering a great selection for Maduro line. Staff is very welcoming each time I come in I feel part of the crowd and they sincerely show effort to do so. Great backyard with fire pit and TV offers an enjoyable outdoor smoking opportunity as well as the eclectic interior summarizes the overall authenticity Cigar Vault in Buda has. Excellent location for South Side, Super Cool Location on Main Street in Buda, and yes, Humidor is in an actual old Bank Vault. Love it! The aroma allure excites all my senses. I've sashayed by this place a hundred times. Shame on me. I don't smoke cigars. Why would I go in. But today. I stopped. The gentlemen that own this place ARE AMAZING! They have an amazing wine collection and after chatting about my wines likes/dislikes - he poured me a glass. It was delicious. I sat on the man cave leather couch that swallowed me up hugging every curve and enjoyed my glass of wine. My husband smoked his cigar and we laughed and chatted about nonsense as tho on a first date. It was such a delight. A real escape from the BS of everyday life. They carry Two Wheel brewing which is brewed half a mile away along with other local beers. The place has a relaxed feel to it with leather chairs and TVs on the wall.
