They have a lunch special for $9.99 and it may not seem like a lot of food at first but a small order of that delicious brown stew chicken was very satisfying! I especially like the spice level. I could always go for spicier but this was just right for my quick lunch break so I could enjoy my food without wiping a runny nose or sweating or something. That Rice. Covered in that stew sauce. The high reviews were truly misleading. We drove about 40 minutes to get here. The location was a bit difficult to find. It was on the corner next to a little mini mart type of shop. Parking is also limited, I'd say about 8 spaces unless you want to make your own makeshift parking. Thank goodness for Jeeps. Upon entering the business it was not inviting, vibes were get your stuff in and get out. We ordered the brown stew chicken with rice and peas and plantains and ox tail. Lets just say there was no stew to the chicken or ox tails. Truly dry and not worth the $40+. Wont be returning. With very little seating, one small table with two chairs and a couch, this is mostly a takeout restaurant. The Jerk Chicken is the absolute best I've ever had in my life! Perfect level of spice & the chicken is moist and smoky... they cook their jerk chicken on the grill right in front of the restaurant. Fantastic Jamaican food. I bought lunch today for 8 coworkers, one of them a Jamaican. This is her husband's favorite Jamaican restaurant in Jax. All of them loved it. The jerk chicken is roasted over a wood fired grill in front of the restaurant. It's got nice heat, great spices, slightly sweet, falls of the bone, and and grilling gives it a great flavor. The cabbage was delicious. The place is small, easy to miss, so Google map it. There's no inside seating. The owners are nice people, passionate about cooking. read more

I placed an order for stewed chicken it wasn't ready yet when my driver arrived to pick up my order which if that was the case I shouldn't of been able to place an order on the website. Best authentic Jamaican food in Jacksonville, hands down. As a Jamaican American raised in Miami, I'm used to having access to authentic ethnic food, not just Carribean food. Moving to Jacksonville was a real culinary shocker. i've gotten recommendations for many other Jamaican restaurant, all of which I've visited once and didn't return for a multitude of reasons. Most of them served either leftover food or food that just was not authentic. I found this place by accident when visiting the post office off Spring Park Road one evening. The owner was jerking chicken outside the restaurant and it smelled divine. I walked over placed my order and was not disappointed. I went back the very next day to pick up lunch (because it was that good) and brought it back to the office. We all ended up ordering lunch again the very next day and the food was amazing. Finding it was a bit hard on the first try, it's located right next to the post office and directly next to a seafood store. This hidden gem is amazing. So glad I found them from google reviews. I figured they deserved a yelp review as well. I always get chicken curry or goat curry, and both are super tender and full of flavor. So good! So far I've had the brown stew chicken, the jerk chicken and the oxtails. It's all good, but the jerk chicken is next level. It's got just the right amount of spice, not hot and it's moist and smoky. They serve it with a slightly sweet jerk sauce on top. I had the peas and rice and the cabbage with it. The peas and rice are a great side dish... kind of a dense sticky texture that provides a great accompaniment to the chicken. The cabbage is solid as well. I am looking forward to trying the goat curry, but I will never leave that place without at least one order of jerk chicken.
