After having my custom chopper serviced including transmission oil change, I gave the bike to my son. He said after riding it several miles it developed an oil leak out of the trans. It's never leaked before and he took it to Arlen ness's service near where my son lives and their guys said the trans was over filled and blew out the seals. My son spent several hundred dollars to have repaired. My Harley's will never be serviced here for sure! read more

Flash Forward May 20 2017 Exactly 1.5 years after buying my 2004 Road Kind from the Chopper Gallery I am still a super satisfied customer. I have put nearly 11,000 miles on my bike in this time and had nary a problem. All I have done is regular maintenance. After visting the Harley dealers in Temecula, San Marcos and Riverside, Indian dealer in San Marcos, American V Twin and Temecula Motorsports I chose The Chopper Gallery for several reasons. First and foremost Karson had THE best product knowledge and it showed with every question I tossed at him(I had a lot). He stayed after hours with me for a little bit to make sure I was 100% satified. I still had to get my motorcycle endorsement and take a safety course so he was patient. A week later after those were done I was also helped by Mike who was just as awesome as Karson! Every single person I interacted with always made me feel welcome, was very informative, and most important to was patient with my indecisive nature which can bug some salespeople(was there for 3 hours). it's my first bike so I wanted to make sure I made the right decision. The selection is amazing and the prices are very competetive and I like how they didn't try to put up the price like every dealer tried to do to me. The inventory was in GREAT condition and I decided to move forward with a 2011 Dyna Street Bob in Demin Black. For a 8 year old bike it was flawless. CHOPPER GALLERY IN TEMECULA I purchased a Big Dog K-9 Chopper, and I was promised that all repairs would be completed within a week. After 3 weeks, I was told that all the repairs were completed before I paid cash. I was not allowed to inspect the Chopper until I paid in full for the Chopper. I complained to Mike that the Throttle Cable was still hanging and I was told, "They always hang". I stated that I have never seen that on any other bike, but I was refused any further repairs or refund. I left on my Chopper and broke down on the freeway about 5 miles from the facility. I had to call for a Tow Truck and waited for over 2 hours because a special truck had to be dispatched for a Chopper. I had the Chopper towed to a repair shop in Orange County (because that is where I live). I had to repair the following (All was verbally promised to be repaired prior to picking up the Chopper - 2 witnesses that were at the facility with me at the time): Throttle cable, Tachometer, Electrical (Messed Up), Master Cylinder (No good), Back Tire (wouldn't seal), Rear Brakes (Worn out, no good), and they were to hook up the New Ignition. Nothing was done as promised. I spoke to Mike, Tyler, and Kraig about the problem and that I had to have it towed to a repair shop. All I was told at that time was that I would have to tow it back to their shop, at my expense, to see if they could fix the Chopper. I was hesitant to tow the Chopper back to their shop, as they already had the Chopper for 3 weeks and nothing was fixed, as they promised. I was given the run-around on the 3 calls that I made, telling me that they were primarily a Harley Dealer. My question is, if they can't repair a Chopper then why do they promise to repair one and why do they sell them at their facility. The Chopper should not have been allowed on the road in that condition, making it very dangerous for me or anyone to drive. In total costing me $4,206.24 I have filed with the BBB and Consumer Fraud. I will be filing in court next. read more

I really thought Chopper Gallery was such a great place to buy your first motorcycle. I bought a 2014 Street Glide from here and all was good. While I was there I got Great customer service, no pressure to buy and I didn't know much about motorcycles so they were very patient with me. A month later I got the bike delivered since it was a gift and my boyfriend was ecstatic. The following day he went for a ride on the freeway and the shifter peg ended up falling off which is pretty dangerous for a first time rider. I immediately called Chopper Gallery and reported it to them but they seemed to brush it off like it wasn't a big deal. I didn't make a big deal out of it since they sent another peg out to replace the one that had fallen off. Once again, my boyfriend took the bike out for another spin and the other shifter peg fell off. I immediately call Chopper Gallery to report the other peg falling off and again they brushed it off saying "things rattle on Harleys all the time and things are going to fall off". At this point I am furious because I purchased a 17,000 dollar bike NOTHING SHOULD BE FALLING OFF THE FIRST RIDE smh. My point of this review is the customer service is great when you're a customer in their face but as soon as they get the sale and you leave all of that "niceness" goes out the window. Temecula is 2 hours away from us so having to travel back out there for a FULL INSPECTION of the bike is ridiculous. An accurate inspection of the bike should have taken place before the bike was delivered end of story. And you don't brush your customers off when things start falling apart on the bike THE FIRST WEEK! I wish I could take the bike back but what's done is done. We will have to take it to an actual Harley store to get it fully inspected which will cost us more money!! read more

First of all I want to say that this place has always been so nice and courteous, every time I have been in. Karson has been genuine and honest about every bike. I have been riding for 35 plus years as well and I have never started a bike in a dealership or anywhere else without the permission of someone on the floor, sales person, owner or anyone! It is just inconsiderate to assume you have the right to do that without permission. That being said, it makes me upset when someone has the audacity to not only do this, but then complain like a little bitch about being held accountable to a mistake they made. Ask first and show some respect. I am going to buy a bike in March of 2020, and I will buy it from these guys for sure. I own several bikes but the deals they have here make me want to keep buying bikes. I have visited so many times, I would expect these guys to be tired of all my constant questions and my many visits, but every time they are patient and kind, and answer every question whether I buy a bike of not. Solid People. As I was heading down Front St today on my bike I noticed my Shifter Lever slipping. Making a right on Santiago I pulled over quickly and 2 guy's on bikes noticed me. It was obvious something was wrong. One guy was on a Sporty in think and the other on a Street Glide. Both offered to help, the guy on the Sportster had some tools. Steve the guy on the Street Glide notices right away the lever was stripped. They helped me push the bike over the curb and out of the way of traffic. Steve said he works at Chopper Gallery. I walked down to the shop bought a new Lever, Steve grabbed the tools and walked the 1/4 mile back with me to switch it out. Good Dude. Whoever owns and runs that shop should be proud of the staff "Steve" and Chopper Gallery just gained a new customer for sure. Thanks Steve and the guy on the sportster. I owe you a Beer. read more

I would highly recommend avoiding this place.. I spent 14k on a street glide that was broke down 4 times in the 1st 2 weeks for 4 different problems. Something would be bad and the would send me a part and I would have to do the labor.I finally got it back there the second week from a stripped out exhaust bolt and the actually had the nerve to ask me to pay them to fix it. We showed up to look at a road glide last week. I asked about the motorcycle that i was interested in. The salesman walked us over to the area where it was. First of all none of the bikes are clean. They are in the showroom dirty. Total turn off when buying anything. Even used. The salesman didnt even take the time to thoroughly explain all accessories and components of the motorcycle. Didnt even offer to wheel it outside to look at it in the sun or start it up. We had to ask him to start it up and he hesitated giving excuses about killing the battery. Proceeded to make a deal on the bike and the salesman says that we would have to wait a week and half to pick it up. That it would get a oil service and detail. Week and a half??? He mentioned nothing about additional charge of oil service or detail. Made the purchase of the motorcycle either way. On the way to leave the store deposit we noticed there was a $175 oil change charge. Completely wrong considering a bike was just purchased in cash and nothing about additional charge was made. Waited a week to call to pick up bike. Never got updates from this shop. Had to call 3 times. Finally it was ready today. Go to pick it up and bike is filthy. Not even detailed. For a I know the oil wasnt even changed. This place is a joke and will never do business here again. They buy auctioned and used bikes and cant even wash it before a customer picks it up. I just bought a beautiful Texas Chopper and the experience in the beginning was very good 5 star rating, but The bike selling process ( not Kristy in finance Dept ) , the follow through by Andy (Sales Person) and Ben (In Service Dept) follow through to sell me additional parts brought the star rating down. Kristy in finance and Mike were awesome. Over all every one in there are nice people. The most important thing here is that I got the bike I wanted and that's the best feeling. A friend went with me when I picked it up and was Intrested in a bike he saw in the show room, but after he experienced the delivery process he changed his mind. A friend and I were riding out from Temecula this morning. He and I were both looking at getting another bike and made time to get to Chopper Gallery and look around because their ads on CT looked fair. There were some good points, they bikes looked nice and it's not a bad selection at all for a second hand shop. Here's where they earn two stars. My buddy sees a custom springer, they want roughly $10,500 (+tax etc) for. It's love at first sight but it has a couple rough spots, the tires are due for instance... not bald, but due. My friend talks to the helicopter salesman and says he loves the bike, wants to hear it and if it sounds solid he'll give him $10K. The guys says great, and we'll finance the rest! My buddy says "no, $10K OTD cash right now" which I think any of us would agree that's a very reasonable opening offer. The salesman says "Yeah, I bet you would and I'll take some of whatever drugs you are smoking and the price is firm!" Hey Mr. Salesman (I didn't get your name), my friend had $10K cash on him, whatever he was short I had my checkbook. A counter offer and an offer to replace the worn tire would have sold him the bike. Asking him if you could smoke his drugs probably wasn't the best comeback because you probably could have sold me the blue Deluxe as well. Oh well. read more

I purchased my motorcycle from here a few months ago .Right when I bought it , after signing the paperwork , it turned out that the radio did not work , so I had to pay for a radio head unit to be installed which wasn't a big deal seeing as though I'm buying a used bike .. that was $450 , they kept the bike , sent it next door to the Audio place .. when I got my bike back the whole electrical was messed up , speakers not working , bike kept dying as well .. when they gave me the bike back , from being fixed " supposedly" , the entire fairing screws were not even screwed in , lights are off etc .. I've been trying to get this fixed and when calling and speaking to a man named Carson today he was very rude and didn't offer any help except that I had to wait 4-6 weeks when my file has been marked urgent for months now .. no one has called me back or tried to help me out but when I bought the bike they were so helpful .. I've also referred at least 10 people that I can verify that have bought bikes from them after me sending them , which shocks me at how bad the service i received today was .. I'll never go back to chopper gallery and I'll definitely send the business elsewhere .. read more

I would not recommend this place if your buying out of state. I found a bike on their website that claimed to be in immaculate showroom condition. I was in contact with a gentleman named Karson from day one. I asked lots of questions and in several emails I asked if the bike had any flaws or needed anything as I would pay the Chopper Gallery to fix/service or replace anything like tires, brakes, etc. as we don't have any shops worth while here to service choppers and Harley will not work on them. I told him when I got it I wanted to ride it not have to put it in a shop to have serviced. He told me this bike needed nothing and was in immaculate showroom condition as the webpage had stated. (Emails saved for proof of conversation) I had all correspondence sent to my PO Box and I gave him my home address to ship the bike. The bike arrived and where do you think it went? Not my house but to the PO Box. The driver had to drive across town to deliver to my home. When we went on trailer there was a big puddle of oil underneath the bike. This thing not even running leaked a ton of oil, it was bad. Then when we fired it up it was smoking and oil was shooting out the carburetor. Once in my garage I noticed a chunk of paint missing in the tank, the fork bracket on top was so pitted from rock debris and on the transmission crank case it was missing a bunch of chrome. Not something one could miss when taking pictures and listing the bike on their webpage. Was any of this stated? No. Then they fill out the title work wrong and Colorado DMV wouldn't accept it so I had to send it all back to get a new title. Today I finally received the duplicate title from Chopper Gallery almost 2 months after purchasing the bike. I haven't been able to ride a bike that cost me 16k for 2 months. I ended up selling it and taking a $1,500 loss because of the damage to the bike and so I could buy something else so I could ride this summer. All I can say is this, if you're buying out of state and you don't want to fly out to California to look at the bike stay away from a guy named Karson Kavanagh or at least don't trust his word on anything. I cant speak on anyone else as I didn't deal with no one else. But Karson represents the Chopper Galley so they get the negative review. Not a good experience at all. Buyer beware. read more

Long story short. The staff is amazing, but the owner is a real piece of work. Purchased a motorcycle from them and within 30 days it broke down. Wrote an email to them with no reply and finally after being stranded in a hotel for 5days I got an answer. I dropped my bike off and after 2.5 weeks it was finally looked at. Fixed half my issue which was the broken shift linkage the other was noise coming from primary. I took it to another shop in which they stated this bike has issues with the transmission and due to the wear and tear on the parts they looked at there was no way I could have caused any of them, especially for not even having the bike for 30 days. They also stated this was a safety issue and should bring it back to the choooer gallery. I took it back and the bike sat another 2 weeks before being looked at. The owner refuses to comply with the safety warranty and after going back and forth I had to fork over 400 plus dollars not including the 183 to fix shift linkage and the money that is still owed to the other shop for breaking it down and finding the issue out. Needless to say I contacted the BBB (better business bureau) where the owner had the audacity to complain about me. Probably because I'm a patch holder. He is known to jump in his customers faces, had a few lawsuits pending and will not help or stand by his business contracts. He lacks professionalism and is nothing but a headache. In my opinion only go there for service or to pick up parts but DO NOT purchase a bike there. You will regret it. The owner Kraig is a serious piece of work. The Chopper Gallery is the best place for bikes, parts, service, and gear, Period. I ride over an hour to go there for any motorcycle need. They got me great financing with less than good credit and weren't pushy, but were always available to answer any questons. Their helmets are 50% what they cost directly from the manufacturer, and there is no way they make much money on those bikes. I mean, I got a Custom Screaming Eagle Road King for half of what Harley was asking for base Road Kings. Hell- these guys even give you free water when you show up since guys like me make the haul to come out. read more
