Don't shop here unless you just feel like looking at the bikes. We walked in with cash in hand to buy two choppers, was told we can't buy a bike and leave today. Apparently they require an inspection after selling the bike. Takes weeks in order to get a bike on the floor you've already paid for. We told them we would buy them as is and waive the inspection. No go. Didn't seem interested in actually selling anything. Definitely don't go here unless you want to wait a couple weeks at minimum. read more

Just a follow-up to my original 5-star review. I now have had time to sort out my Sportster. After riding it about 100 miles, I took it to Buddy Stubbs HD in Phoenix to take care of a couple minor items and they went through the entire back. I was pleased to hear that the bike is in terrific condition and the modification work the Chopper Gallery performed was problem free. Again, this was the lowest priced bike in the Chopper gallery's inventory. It runs and rides great! I couldn't be happier. Huge thanks again to Chopper Gallery team. I recently went into the chopper gallery to look at a road king special that they had for sale. I was dealing with Mike from sales. I started to give the bike a good look over and noticed there were some pretty good scuffs on the bottom of the primary cover that looked like the bike may have been laid over in the past. Firstly, Mike seemed very annoyed that I had a flashlight out and was giving the bike a thorough inspection. I noticed several flaws, but nothing that wasn't expected on a used motorcycle. I then asked him about where the bike had came from and he had no answer for me and just told me it probably came from a car dealer but he had no actual idea and didn't seem interested in finding out for me. Then I asked him if they had run a Carfax report on the motorcycle. He informed me that Carfax doesn't report on motorcycles however, I know that not to be true as anything reported through the insurance for on road motorcycles would be stored in a Carfax report. Despite all this, I was still ready to make an offer on the bike for what was a very reasonable price assuming a test ride went well. When I tried to negotiate with them, they would not budge on price even the tiniest bit even after finding several flaws that were not freely advertised. I ended up going down the road and picking up a brand new 2023 road king special from Old Town Temecula Harley-Davidson for hardly more than they were trying to sell the 2020 model for. Their full inspection policy after sale is also very annoying for the fact if you are a cash buyer you have to wait about a week to even pick the bike up. Mike said they compression test them and detail them and then put them out to sell. It seems like they should be completing the full inspection before they sell them to the customer, not after. Bottom line is I feel honesty and integrity are lacking at this business and unless you know how to check the bikes properly for yourself I would look elsewhere. read more

Here I am again for another update on this dump. 200 miles in on this bike and all from riding to the mechanic and home. Found out both my motor mounts are blown out and my whole rear rim is loose. Funny that I bought a low rider. Those come stock from HD with mag rims. But someone at this establishment took them off for a profit I'm sure and replaced them with rattle canned black spoke rims. I use these guys for service and parts because the labor rate beats the dealership any day of the week and they always have a good vibe in this shop. Previous independent shops have been hit and miss with how they staff will treat me for bike work but these guys have always been honest and fair about work. They won't nickel and dime you over every fitting or hose. I wish I went to them when I first needed work done. They are also super patient about my work schedule when I set up appointments. I plan to continue using them for any of my custom parts or labor while I'm living in SoCal purely because of the staff. Please, before you consider the ride up to L.A. It has been one of the best things I have ever done! Great customer service. Very knowledgeable, straight forward, and very transparent. Well, sitting on the side of the road again so I figured I would review this place on Yelp. I bought a bike from them in 2019. About a month went by after I finally go the bike (thy claimed they were inspecting I for a few weeks) when there was a grinding sound and the back wheel sized up. Lucky for me I was going really slow at the time. Waited a few hours for a tow in h middle of the night. Took the bike to a HD dealership and found out they had sold me a bike with th wrong wheel on it. Asked them to replace it and they claimed HD was lying to me. If they were lying why was the wheel coming off the bike? Anyway, out of pocket about $2500. Fast forward to 2022, I took the bike to get new electronics. I get a call from h shop and they tell me the entire front end is held together with he wrong sized bolts and washers an they can't believe it's stayed together. I call and speak to Karson telling them I want the repairs covered. He proceeds to bitch and moan about how he didn't make the bike so it isn't his responsibility. Cool story, you sold me the bike and put me in danger, be a man and stop making excuses. Out another $2000. I never ride the bike anymore because I feel so unsafe on it. I could probably sell it at a loss and be done with it, but I feel so screwed over by this shifty company and th scumbags who work there. They need to be shut down. I've been working to find a goo attorney so I can get the money put into the bike back and something for them risking my life by seling me some non-street ready bucket of junk. read more

I have a special construction chopper that I find can be hard to solve problems. The most recent task wasn't to difficult but a first for me...headlight swap to led. Went to Temecula HD first and found the prices to be covering the costs on the work they plan on doing to the building. So I go next door to my new go to! From the moment I walked in, questions I had to making sure I had info on obtaining insurance on a custom bike. The staff was friendly, helpful and had a great sense of humor. But I believe that their service department can use some either training or replacements. I don't think some of the people who works on peoples bikes here cares that much, so as a tip if you come here and your bike needs to be touched by the service people here, make sure you talk to Kam. Well here we are 2 years later... doubt he remembers but mike said my bfs credit score would be good enough to walk in and pick any bike by now. Well his payments tho on time and early most month are STILL not being reported to the credit bureaus. Unfortunately there is no legal action we can take they just keep telling us they're on it. Yes the finance company is separate from this establishment however mike was very involved when we needed the loan then immediately ducked our calls when we wanted his help. "Okay" experience purchasing my bike from here. I'll start by saying the guys and gals here are all personable people (Mike can come off a bit grumpy / crotchety but he seems to mean well). My only problem with this place is that they just seem to cut corners wherever possible. Not even 30 minutes into my ride back home on my recently purchased Harley, several warning lights came on (ABS wheel speed differential too high, fuel level sender open / shorted) and the Neutral light was also ON while I was riding in 6th gear on the freeway. All this tells me that they do not thoroughly check the bikes before selling them (even though they make you wait 7 days!! to pick the bike up after you buy), which can be a huge safety concern. I'm sure that they would have remedied the issues if I brought it to their attention, but quite honestly I don't trust them to really fix the issues without cutting any more corners. Just my personal preference from what I saw here. In my mind, I'd rather pay a trusted mechanic who I know will be transparent and really fix the issues. Considering it was nothing too major (thankfully), that's exactly what I did. All in all, these guys have some beautiful bikes (some with high mileage, and some gems), but I don't think I'd recommend any of my friends or family to get their bike here. Another important thing to note - they won't negotiate with you (they claim their bikes are already priced as best as possible, which may be true for some of their bikes), and if you buy a bike, you won't be able to pick up until at least 7 days later. read more

I live in Miami Fl and purchased a bike from the chopper gallery in California, long story short the whole process was a wreck, their staff is a wreck, my salesman was Micheal he lied about the conditions of the bike, the bike had been tipped over and had visible damage of it which he denied. But the story doesn't end there, it's now 2 weeks since the bike is in my possession in Miami and I still do not have the title to the bike. At first I thought it was a really great business to buy a bike from. The pre-owned bikes all looked pristine. We decided to sell our V-Star and buy a Harley, and found what appeared to be the perfect bike for us online, then worked with their finance person, Kristy over the phone. She is super helpful, And the only girl in the office - and she seems to be the one that holds the place together. Not warm and fuzzy, by ANY means, but good at the finance side. Finance is what they do best. It took us 2 hours to drive to Temecula from Huntington Beach on a Fri at 3pm, seemed to be worth it, because we purchased the bike. The process was quick, because most of the work was done before we arrived. They stated they will replace all of the fluids and filters, and give it a really thorough inspection, replacing anything they find that needs to be replaced, at no cost to us. Including the front tire that was worn, but not worn out. So far - so good. In my original review I stated "knowing this care and maintenance is part of the process gives peace of mind, and prevents added money by having our mechanic do this for us." That is where I was wrong. The new battery failed shortly after we bought the bike. They wanted us to drive from Huntington Beach to Temecula to have them replace it. Not at all practical. Finally, they agreed to let us replace it at HB Harley. We had to pay for it, and get reimbursed. We drove the bike to AZ and on the way home the bike failed and stranded us in the dessert. We had to tow it (our cost) from Coachella to Temecula. We had to cut our vacation one day short, in spite of having pre- paid a hotel. They actually did the right thing and fixed what they thought was wrong. It was like pulling teeth - but they did it. We were losing RPM's until it just died. In spite of buying a third battery on the vacation itself. Fast forward 5 weeks - and here we are again with the losing RPM's problem 5 weeks later, but this time the response from Ben is claim no responsibility. I am Happy to forward the email thread to anyone who asks. Here is the line that sums it up best - and it is a quote from Ben the mechanic on 9-10-2015: "I'M SORRY, BUT I CAN'T PREDICT ALL FUTURE PROBLEMS THAT ARE GOING TO HAPPEN WITH THE BIKES THAT GET SOLD" And yes - he actually put it all in capital letters. We are taking the bike to our local mechanic - we can trust him, it will be worth paying out of pocket for an ongoing warranty issue just to be done with these people. But it will make it sweeter knowing we have YELP to share our experience. I have been a Yelp member since 2007, an Elite member, and I take reviews on this site very seriously. PLEASE HEED MY ADVISE AND MOVE ON in your search for a trustworthy used bike. UPDATE: They ended up refusing to resolve the problem. We went to our mechanic and paid out of pocket. Once fixed, and fixed correctly - replaced the stator, we have been on the road and happy with the bike. But not with Chopper Gallery. (They had replaced the battery and the volt regulator, the inexpensive possibilities...and when those were not the fix, they bailed) Heed this warning. read more

I am giving this one star because of the lack of care and response to a major safety issue with a bike I purchased from here. I purchased a 2012 Road Glide with 47,800 miles in mid August. The front end always felt funny but wasn't sure as this is my first Harley. At first I thought it was a brake issue and contacted CG and they said not to worry as they replaced all the pads. As time went on the noise I kept hearing grew increasingly worse. I road it in to the CG and told them again. Someone came out and looked at it and said, I don't see anything wrong. I read up on this and it did say that the brake pads will be in contact with the rotors on ABS bikes. It said to raise the front tire off the ground and if it doesn't spin 1 revolution then there could be another issue. I put the bike up on the lift and the wheel would not spin freely. I removed the brake calipers and the wheel sounded like it was grinding metal. Yes, it was bad bearings. Please keep in mind the bike didn't make this sound until a few days after I was riding it. When I went to remove the tire and tire shaft I was in disbelief. The shaft nut was on only hand tight, that's a far cry from 65 ft. lbs. My friend who was with me at the time was also in disbelief. Then I went to loosen the other two smaller bolts from the other side and those were also on hand tight. No wonder the bearings ate themselves. The front tire could have come off the bike while I was driving down the freeway. When I called to inform CG they never got back to me. I had to call them three times and all I got was the run around. They failed to do their job before delivering a bike to the customer. This failure could have cost a life. Please also keep in mind when I picked up the bike they told me they put new tires on the bike. To do this they would have had to remove these fasteners. There is no way these would vibrate loose after 800 miles. These were clearly never checked or torqued to the correct values. So if you buy a bike from them and plan on adding in and expense to have a mechanic look at it out side of the CG. read more

I bought my previous bike from a Harley dealership and had a decent experience. However when it was time to upgrade to a new bike I started to realize how much more HD dealers can charge compared to smaller shops. I did a bunch of research and shopped around for months prior to finding the Chopper Gallery and I'm really happy I waited. I dealt with Karson and his communication was top notch. Always responded to emails within 24 hours and worked with me on my trade-in to ensure that the trade-in value covered my loan balance. I picked up a Dyna Street Bob and the price was unbelievable. Compared to Harley dealerships the Chopper Gallery was asking around $2500 less on average. I'll admit, because the price was so good I was initially concerned that maybe there were underlying issues so after picking up the bike I took it to Harley for a health check and they confirmed it was in excellent shape. It's been about a month since I picked up my bike from Chopper Gallery and every interaction with them since then has been excellent. Not to mention the bike runs great with zero issues. I've emailed Karson for a few minor things dealing with my trade in and he still responds back just as quickly even though a sale isn't on the line. Will definitely be back here again in the future and have since recommended a few friends over as well. If you're in the market for a pre-owned Harley you'd be doing yourself a disservice if you don't take a trip down to the Chopper Gallery. read more

After having my custom chopper serviced including transmission oil change, I gave the bike to my son. He said after riding it several miles it developed an oil leak out of the trans. It's never leaked before and he took it to Arlen ness's service near where my son lives and their guys said the trans was over filled and blew out the seals. My son spent several hundred dollars to have repaired. My Harley's will never be serviced here for sure! read more
