I hadn't been to a Waves Coffee before, and after a few visits I'm very impressed with the coffee. The lattes and Mocha's are some of the best I've had. There is outdoor seating, and plenty indoors as well. This place has a nice feel to it. Give it a try if you are in the area. Also love their coffee lids! Just slide to close. Never thought how useful this is until I started pushing around a baby stroller and had coffee spill all over the place. Newbie parent if there was one ;)

This visit we ordered the Jalapeño Heatwave burger, the house-battered fish and chips, and enjoyed it all with a Corona . The flavours were great, and we also joined the loyalty program, which is a nice bonus for regulars like us. That said, the only reason this isn't a full 5 stars: the Jalapeño Heatwave burger didn't look anything like the photo on the menu. Still tasty, but definitely disappointing when you're expecting what's shown -- presentation matters, especially for a signature burger. Overall, we still really enjoy this location and will absolutely be back. Just hoping the burgers start matching those menu photos a bit more closely next time!

The menu covers all the bases of what you could want for brunch food, and they even have pretty extensive vegan and gluten-free menus. I got the vegan strawberry French toast. It was alright but a bit lacking in the custardiness that I like in French toast. But I'm not going to be too critical since I was happy they had vegan French toast at all. I had a zero proof aperitivo spritz to drink, which I was impressed by because it really tasted like the alcoholic version! The atmosphere was nice. I would describe the design as modern and urban but not cold or pretentious. We got sat in a big corner booth which was large for two people but very comfortable.
