Unlike the individual who left the negative review based on her lack of impulse control, This is my go-to for most things cake/chocolate related. Been coming here for years.. Of course I could go to amazon or something, but these guys are a small local business.. have almost everything you could need, and are fairly priced. Not to mention the staff is always friendly and super helpful. Plus their candy melts are far superior to anything you can find at one of those larger retailers. Just don't buy more than you need, unlike miss 1 star over here, being they're local you can always just go back. And if you're not sure, ask the staff! If you're new to chocolate molding, take it slow. Be aware that anything you buy at the Chocolate Belles in totally non-returnable, including the cellophane bags, sticks, etc., even unopened packages-EVERYTHING!!!! I didn't realize that on my first venture and went whole hog in my enthusiasm and got stuck with a bunch of stuff that went unused and unrefundable. So BUYER BEWARE!!!! It's easy to get carried away in a shop such as this, especially when under pressure for a special event and the store owner will be only so happy to help you out. Take it slow. Or better yet, go to A.C. Moore or JoAnn's, where the products are 100% refundable. You'll be glad you did! Don't get stuck like I did. read more

Today I brought my kids and their little cousin to an Easter candy making class at the shop. I bought their tickets at the website in advance and all the materials and candy were included in the price of the ticket. The kids I brought were 8, 10 and 12 years old but the class description welcomed children as young as 5. The kids were taken to a back room by an enthusiastic young woman wearing festive Easter accessories. She was friendly and helpful and had plenty of experience instructing small kids with big personalities. The class was an hour long and the parents either stayed to chat with the owner of the family business, Anne, in the main part of the store, or left to return when the class was finished. While I spoke to Anne, I found out that they also do birthday parties which include candy making crafts and a cupcake for each child! The prices were reasonable, the shop is stocked full of candy making molds, chocolate, decorating supplies and more. Anne also offered helpful advice to her customers based on their purchases. Oh! They also sell candy they make themselves... a shelf was stocked full of beautiful chocolate Easter bunnies and a glass counter display showed off chocolate covered pretzels, cookies and fudge. When the kids were done, they left with a lovely basket of the things they made. It was a great activity for the kids and certainly the place to go if you like to make candy, cakes or any type of decorated sweets. read more

I have been going to the store for over 25 years and never have had issues whatsoever they are so willing to help you and I to have overbought stuff but that's on me you can't blame the store for impulse buying. But they have always Everyone in the store has always assisted in anything I needed. I went in specifically for a specialty item. The total was less than $3. When I took out my debit card to pay they told me that they will not sell it to me for anything other than cash because the processing fees are too high. Aside from the fact that I'm pretty sure it's illegal to not accept a form of payment that you have set up because of the total, I specifically asked when I contacted them prior to making the trip out there what forms of payment is accepted and there was no indication that there was a minimum price to use a card. I never have cash on me, and as such had to leave without the product. I ended up finding it on Amazon for a slightly cheaper price (including with shipping charges) if I bought it in quantities of 10 or more. It really is a shame for them because I'm a very loyal customer, as a whole, and tend to frequent the shops that have outstanding customer service. And I'm a good buyer (I'm starting out in a new business and buying all sorts of products). But I must say that I was very unimpressed by their attitude and the fact that they actually turned down a potential customer to save themselves a bit of money on charging fees. At the end of the day, you never know who is the really good potential customer. read more
