Due to the size of the store, they may not have the exact size of the item you like available but ask and they will try to get it for you. "Not your run of the mill kids stuff" Reality- It's true, it's damn true. They have toys in here that I didn't even know existed. It's stuff that you won't see on the shelves at your local big box or even regular toy stores. As far as gifting goes, if you buy something from here, you won't have to worry about someone else getting the same gift. These toys are pretty cool, and that's the problem- I think they're pretty cool. Will your kid think they're cool? Probably not. Take for example the line of Fischer Price "Retro" toys they carry. They caught my eye right away, they're the toys we used to play with, like the rotary telephone with the goofy eyes on it or the record player with the plastic records. It's a great gift to get the adults in the room talking, but lets be honest, what kid knows what a record player or rotary phone is? So why would they play with it? Most kids wake up in the morning, eat their Lucky Charms to get their Spongebob toy out of the box, put on their Spider-Man shoes and Batman shirt to go to Legoland for a McDonalds Happy Meal lunch featuring Hot Wheels toys. They have barely anything that has a license. Just some small Hello Kitty toys. Anything that's not on a Saturday morning cartoon could get you mean mugs from little ones. That's not saying they don't have anything the kiddies wouldn't like. They have two racks of small toys and accessories that are expensive, but are the perfect little gifts for party favor bags if you throw a kids party. I might stop back for a few of these around my little ones BDay. "Baby gear and furniture" Reality- Where is this stuff? This store is super small, and outside of a few racks of clothes, all I really see is toys. "Unique Gifts" Reality- I think "Unique" is a code word for "Expensive". I may live cheap, but I have absolutely no problems spending big money on cool stuff, as evidenced by the toys my daughter already owns. But the markup at this place is ridiculous. I saw the clothes, and knowing my daughter needed some onesies, I asked the lady if they had any. She showed me about 3 of them and they were pretty cool. Cool little drawings of animals on the front, 100% organic material, I was sold. I remember thinking that they were so cool, I'd pay $20 for one. I asked the lady how much for this one, she told me "37.50"! 37 bucks? My jaw dropped. Does she realize that a baby is just going to make a mess of this onesie for six months? Maybe if my wife and I were Kim and Kanye we could do this, but I have a hard time believing that in a blue collar city like this a store with so little to offer continues to exist. Bottom line- Good for rich Grandparents, Aunts or Uncles to get the kids in their lives some toys that are nice to look at but probably won't be played with, but bad for parents.

Floor to ceiling, you're sure to not leave empty handed. As a consignment store, several patrons were selling their children items and there were a few shopping. The swim selection is HUGE! There was a large wire basket of sun hats that required some digging on my end, but it paid off with two hats by the brand, RuffleButts that retail for $28 online and I scored them for $2.50 each. Definitely pack your patience because there is a lot to go through, but it is organized by category and size and you'll leave with great savings!

This was the #1 store I wanted to get to whilst we were visiting Milwaukee and I'm very glad I was able to make it. They carry some great brands here; Rylee + Cru, Quincy Mae, and PEHR are just a few that you'll find. I went a little bananas and spent a pretty penny, but it's not my fault--they were having an impromptu "garden sale" and they also had some of the most beautiful children's dresses I've ever seen. I found a seersucker tunic that is REVERSIBLE and I could not pass it up. There was a dress that was made from the same fabrics, which I originally bought for a friend's daughter but will probably end up keeping for my own. I can't wait to see her in all the stuff that I got. When we came in the owner's family was in, including her nephew, and my kiddo and he chased each other around the store and played whilst they were there. That was easy because this store has a children's area where the kids can play. This is a semi unusual thing to see in a children's store, though I'm not sure why. So whilst I shopped my kid was able to play at the kitchen and table and baby buggy and stuff, which certainly helped me spend more money but was nice that she had something fun to do as well. I love this store, and will be back anytime I'm in the vicinity. And they have a great web presence so that'll make it even easier to support this great little children's store.

EVER…read more Carter's is in the new Mayfair Collection (the same mall that Nordstrom Rack is in) and has been open about 6 months or so. The merchandise is generally good quality and is fairly priced. We happened to hit one of their sales today and wow - super score! Everything was 30-50% off and the sales included winter items too. You know I picked out a pile of the cutest stuff for my niece including a fuzzy pink sleeper with a hood (and ears! So cute!). Staff here was uniformly nice and helpful. If you have kids, they're worth checking out especially if you can take advantage of one of their sales.

The real reason we went here is Sis wanted some cheap-o maternity pants and they aren't stocked at the Tosa or Brookfield locations. Since we were here for maternity items, she was disappointed to see there wasn't much on offer but I'm guessing no location really stocks a ton of that. My gripe for this ON is that it took as long to check out as it did for Sis to browse, make choices and try on her stuff. There was a mighty line and ONE register open - and that associate was not hustling, let me tell you. To add insult to injury, two other employees were up at the registers "working" but not actually checking any customers out. Sigh. Unless you got the pregnants and need pants, head to a different area Old Navy.

Perfume is a total personal fragrance that you have to smell to find just what you would like give someone so samples are needed and they do let you sample the fragrances. I told the nice woman helping me that I wanted a perfume and money is no issue so give me 4 samples of what you think is a good perfume to give a woman from a man who doesn't know anything about buying perfume. She took me around the fragrance department and let me sample name recognized perfumes and I did find one of the 4 samples that I really liked. She was so helpful to a man who didn't know what he was doing and made the whole process easy me. She totally made feel comfortable with picking a fragrance that I thought would be a nice gift and fit. Actually I found something really nice and it was not very expensive at all because I was going spend at least twice as much in my mind I thought. Yah any perfume purchases in the future will go to Macy's for sure.
