I wanted to check in and was horrified that this Maurices wasn't listed on Yelp! Wha???? You're…read morewelcome ;) Anyway, I've been to this location three times now and while I have been helped by three different associates, all of them have been nothing but wonderful. Helping suggest items based on what I have picked out, suggesting different cuts and colors, and suggesting other items to complete my outfit. And, while most stores have gotten rid of helping out customers when they are in the fitting rooms, the associates at this store are willing to go get another size, a different cut, or a different shirt to go with the skirt you are trying on. It is kind of funny that the last time I was in a Maurices, I think I was in middle school, listening to Boyz II Men, looking for chokers to accessorize my overall shorts and butterfly clips to put by the thousands in my hair. While the music hasn't really changed (loved hearing "Ice Ice Baby" tonight), the styles have, but you can find an entire outfit right down to the shoes. The reason I set foot in this Maurices the first time was that I happened to be shopping at Target for something, but couldn't find what I was looking for and I figured Maurices might have it. I have continued to stop in because I'm one of those in-between sizes... in-between "regular" sizes and "plus" sizes. I can shop between the two shops to find the right combination of sizes that work for me. The shop is also well kept. There is nothing worse than having to avoid tripping on clothes on the floor, mounds of unfolded clothes on the tables, and piles of clothes in the dressing rooms, so I highly appreciate the effort they go to in order to maintain the appearance of the store. The white, pleather benches in the dressing rooms could use a deep clean, but I'm usually hopping around, balancing as I try on clothes rather than sitting down. This also saves me from having to spend 30 minutes driving to busy, packed malls!

You can only try on select items in store and this was not one of them. I asked about the return policy before I purchased and was told anything can be returned with receipt for store credit, that's all I was told. Well the outfit was so itchy when I was able yo try it on so I tried returning today. I was told I am out of the return window of 7 DAYS AND I can't return anything that is white (again, was NOT mentioned when I asked before purchasing). So now I am out $80 for something I've never worn. The products are cheap and sold very expensive. I do not recommend this store unless you are 100% you want the product.

Manager was the only person on, but she juggled several customers and was a huge help. Asked if she could start me a fitting room, remembered my name and kept my arms free. She told me that the cloths on the wall are all $9.95 and the price of the others. I immediately found something that stood out and was the perfect size. And it was on the $9.95 wall. Sounds like a perfect experience. Not! When I went up to the counter I told her I found something that stood out. She said that is great! In such a fake voice. There was a young employee there and as the manager was processing the transaction, she was talking down to her and telling her what to do as she was supposed to know. I could see that the girl was embarrassed and I felt bad for her. This made me uncomfortable. What I would like to say to this manager, is micromanaging does not work! Google it! This young girl would make a better manager as maybe she already has more experience on how to treat people. I will most likely never go there again because of this experience. She was rude, fake and something I never want to encounter again. To the girl that was working there: I hope you find a job where you are respected honey! All the best to you!

I love this location because I feel they always have a size run in the newest styles, whereas other locations may be sold out of an item - and similar items - in a particular size. Anytime I'm in the mood for a new outfit for work, every day, or vacation, I head to Maurice's. They also have cute jewelry and shoes. Catch them at the right time and they have amazing clearance sales! I often have a difficult time envisioning outfits, and Maurice's does a superb job with their mannequins and displays. I usually end up purchasing the outfit/items on display and sometimes right off the mannequin. The sales associates, particularly at this location, are very friendly and helpful; I like how they offer suggestions once they see what you are looking for, and if you aren't having any luck in the fitting room. If you are just browsing, they are not pushy - which I really appreciate! This store is, on average, pricey than Kohl's. However, the items are of better quality and are targeted to being a more "timeless" fashion rather than what's hot right now. I have gotten *so* many compliments on my work outfits that I purchased from this store; and even after years of wash and wear, they still look great. If you can't tell, I'm definitely a fan!

Clothing is trendy and often grouped by outfit and associates are very helpful with assisting with sizes or matching outfits. They have larger fitting rooms that have decent lighting so you can actually see if a color works with your skin tone instead of fluorescent bulbs giving you a jaundice hue. While they do promote their credit card, it's no worse than other department stores and they have a rewards program so you can spend an obscene amount of money throughout a period of time and take your $10 there to spend another $30. But truthfully, the clothes fit curvy girls, there are no polyester elastic pants and their underwear is much cuter and comfortable than cotton Victoria Secret. (Often buy 3 get 2 free).
