I visited this place, was a out of towner. The young lady at the counter was nice and accommodating. When at the counter, figuring out the games of bowling, shoe sizes and names she was patient. We completed the process and we went to our lane. We had a great time, nice family place too attend. Pizza was good, as well as the drinks.. Nice family environment..

Came here with my significant other and honestly, the staff is what made this entire experience…read morewhat it was. Were all the games working? No. Did we run into a couple of issues? Absolutely. But somehow, every time we had a problem, someone was there ready to fix it like we had just activated the Bat-Signal. And they did it with a smile, even though it was VERY obvious they were running around like their lives depended on it. Trace, the Bar/Floor Manager, was clearly doing the work of approximately 47 people at once, and yet somehow still had time to be attentive, kind, and sociable with us. I genuinely don't know how he was doing it. Man was everywhere. Craig and Colton, the Floor Managers, were also fantastic. Every time we had a question or concern, they helped us without ever making us feel like we were interrupting their already chaotic Saturday night. And then Timothy, Trenton, and Austin were equally awesome! At this point, I'm convinced they don't actually hire employees here -- they recruit people who have an unusually high tolerance for chaos and an Olympic-level ability to remain cheerful. The funniest part is that the couple of issues we ran into were almost worth it because we got to interact with all of these guys, joke around, and laugh with them. They somehow managed to turn "well, this game isn't working" into "well, at least we're having a great time." That's customer service done RIGHT. And seriously, HUGE credit to all of them for keeping that kind of energy on a Saturday night. It was busy, and I'm sure a couple of things were going sideways, and I'm sure everyone was running on approximately 3% battery -- yet they were still friendly, patient, and genuinely fun to be around. Rock the eff on, dudes!! You guys deserve ALL the praise. Seriously. Give these men a raise, a trophy, a vacation, and maybe a medically supervised nap. Thank you again for everything!! You made the experience unforgettable, and we genuinely had a blast because of you guys!

Took my team here for team bonding, and bowled during the week. The place was very quiet and empty,…read morewe came in, and we helped right away by the attendant working the counter. Although no one else seemed to be present while we bowled, we just wanted to get a water of some sort, but no one was available to help. If I come back, it would be during peak hours.

Awesome place to bowl. This has been around for decades but they've constantly made upgrades along…read morethe way so it looks newer and everything is kept clean. Staff is great and helpful! Bowling is always fun, they keep the lanes well oiled and the machines work great. They host a variety of leagues here, everywhere from ultra competitive school competitions to the chillest family leagues and birthday parties, as well as just plain old open bowling, so there's something for every skill level and age. They also have an arcade, as well as a bar and grill. I have never said or typed this sentence in my life, but ORDER THE CHICKEN FINGERS! You will not be disappointed. They were probably the best I've ever had in my life...hand-breaded perfection. This is the bowling alley that showed me how fun bowling could be when I was a kid, then as a student it hosted leagues where I made a ton of friends, and now I get to come here to make memories with a family of my own. It's not as cheap as it used to be, but what is anymore? About the same price as a night out at a movie. Would definitely recommend this place!

I've bowled here in the past, but how this business treats people online changed my opinion. I made…read morea joking comment on Don Carter Lanes' Facebook post about the AI-generated art in their lesson ads. Their official business page replied with an AI-generated cartoon of me, with my name on it, rolling a gutter ball. When I said I hadn't given permission for my likeness to be used, I got no response, and the image is still up. The general manager shared that same post on his personal account and appears to be the one running the page. As a working artist, I take the use of someone's face and name in AI images seriously, and using it to make fun of a customer in public crosses a line. My last several visits were also disappointing because of management's brash attitude. There are better places in Rockford to bowl.

I'm guessing the rates aren't too terrible because the place continues to have steady traffic after decades. Pros: +Still obviously a good spot for events. Great place to do a kids birthday party +Solid parking. Shouldn't have a problem finding a spot most days +I love their outdoor facilities. Great for the summer, and a good place to have a smoke if that's your thing +Solid facilies in Bar, Slots, and Arcade Cons: -Biggest thing is the place is decades old so its dated, and its not like a lot of "new" facilities you see out in the suburbs. May not feel "clean to some tastes". Personally I think its fine -There can be a LOT of people strolling around through here. It can be a little chaotic, and can even feel like a living breathing animal in here. So watch your stuff and your kids Bottom Line: Like I said Park Lanes is a solid place. I see no practical reason why I wouldn't return, and I don't even bowl.

We had such an amazing time here and we were pleasantly surprised with the huge food menu, we had a full meal all of the food was awesome, burgers, pizza, chicken tenders and waffle fries all very good and such a fun, friendly experience!
