This place was amazing. Our server was very knowledgeable and guided us through our selections. We started off with some of the chard edamame and the chicken satay. We also got the pork sliders. Everything is fantastic. I also had the tofu yakisoba. Massive portion and very very flavorful. This is a great place to stop before an event at the Alamodome. Easy walk from this location. Have a really cool chandelier in the main bar area. Great place.
I've been seeing this place and have been wanting to check it out. I was at an event at the Alamodome and was able to check it out! It was calm there on a Saturday night. They serve Asian cuisine there which is MY FAV! all the staff was friendly and welcoming. I had one of their seasonal drinks and it was perfect!!! Since it was our first time there, they gave us some complimentary edamame which was . My dish I ordered was yummy! I want to try the other items on the menu along with other drinks! This is a spot I will tell a friend to tell a friend. A neighborhood gem that I will support!

What an awesome local spot right across from the Alamodome parking lot! We decided to check this place out after we finished tailgating at a UTSA home game. There's a parking lot right next door but street parking is also available. The inside is very small, but most of the seating area is outdoors. The bar area is inside,but there is a gate that opens up that is more convenient for everyone that is sitting outside. The cuisine they serve is Asian comfort food. We were only there for drinks and an appetizer, but the main entree menu items looked delicious.We were told by the bartender that the most popular menu item is the ramen. We can't wait to come back to try some of the food. All the staff here are very friendly and attentive. It's a great spot if you want to have a casual hangout with a group of friends. A bonus to coming here is that you're helping to support giving back to the community. Highly recommend!

Decided to go for Friday night dinner and hit up happy hour. $6 drinks 50% small plates - we had several items for the table and some drinks and all were 10/10 our server Destiny was amazing at explaining things, how the place runs, and just giving an all over great experience! They donated to charities monthly so go and support your local business as well as other with food and drinks and a great time! I will be back asap :)
Cherrity bar is a really great concept in that part of the profits for the month go to select local charities. Made up of two cute old houses that connect the bar and restaurant, cherrity bar can be either a place to hang out or dine. Typically they have ramen and Japanese style fare, but there was a special drop in brunch with local chefs. They also host different art markets like recently the summer moon night market and then the Sunday brunch market. There is also a playground for the littles. Overall just a very Austinish type of place to hang out in our own backyard.
I love coming here! Their was no host at the hostess stand so I walk into the right side and it was empty, then I walked to the left side. The bartender was able to help me out and sat me. I got the charred spicy edamame. Which is delicious, highly recommend. Then for a main I got the tantanramen with tofu instead of pork. It was really good. For my drink I got the usual grapefruit soda. I like the vibe here, it's super nice. The music was a bit too loud other than that it was a good lunch. Price point is reasonable for lunch. Will be back. Love the events they always going on here!
The Cherrity Bar is all about charity. A percentage of everything you order here goes to a chosen charity. Usually, you can ask the staff for the name, or it is posted the name of the charity. Food here was very good, especially for their happy hour. I enjoyed a margarita, some Yakitori and charred edamame. We got to sit outside and, thankfully, the weather was perfect, not too cold not too hot. The bar looks like a little house in the middle of a street, close to downtown. And looks can be deceiving, because it seems like there shouldn't be a bar in this area, but there it is and its full glory. Prices were definitely affordable, especially for their happy hour.
The food is Korean style eats wrapped in an atmosphere of an older style San Antonio house turned bar and restaurant. The vibe is chill and the patrons talk amongst each other, which is nice. The service is friendly and accurate. A portion of your bill goes to the charity of your choice, (you get to decide from a few options.). I like that. I chose a no kill animal shelter. Overall I like this place and will be back. I also see ping pong and corn hike games outside.
They stay open pretty late and we felt like ramen so we walked in over. The server was really cool. He chatted with us and when he realized that this was our first visit, he sent over an order of the Charred edamame gratis for being first time customers. If you bring someone who has never been there they will also do the same thing for them. The charred edamame was incredible. Toasty, salty and delish. We then ordered the Kushikatsu sampler. This delightful dish came with skewers of pork, chicken, and the star of the show, shiitake mushrooms that were amazing. My buddy got the tonkotsu ramen which was pretty good. I'm very picky about my ramen having been in Japan several times but as for the tonkotsu ramen I've had in the states, this was pretty darn good. We had a couple local beers and they were cold and tasty. Overall I was very pleased. Would return if I'm in the area. 4.5/5.
I finally got around to trying Cherrity bar and I guess better late than never. I came in during happy hour and took advantage of their food specials, so I ordered the pickled plate sampler, some yakatori chicken, and a beer. The bar was not full so the bartender was chit chatting with me and was super friendly. After the food came out, I really enjoyed the different pickled veggies as the brine they used was seasoned well and not too salty. The yakatori chicken was nice and tender and crusted with seasme seeds, very tasty. After eating, I ordered an Old Fashion and was not let down. It was made the way is should be and made for a great first experience at Cherrity Bar. Overall, I really enjoyed the vibe and food/drink offerings, so I look forward to my next time here.
18 Apr 2024 My sister and I went here after attending Fiesta Fiesta at the Alamodome. It IS right across the street from the dome. Another draw was the karaoke that starts at 6:30pm. Oh, and it's happy hour until 7pm. A lot of the food (mostly small plates) is half price during happy hour. Our bill was about $21 for two 16 oz beers and two small plates. One plate was grilled slices of mushroom. The slices looked like steak and were very tender. The fried mushrooms were presented as small chicken on a sticks. Also tasty. Because it was our first time, they through in a small bowl of edamame. A sauce accompanied our plates that was also very tasty. The downer was what seemed like hundreds of flies tormenting the customers seated on the porch. One of the porch fans did not work, which didn't help the situation. An employee came out after a time and placed citronella candles on the porch banisters. Helped a little. Then came the mosquitos. Sigh. The server Destiny was great. She brought me a glass of ice for my not-so-cold beer. Checked on us periodically. Did well Thanks. I'll bet this is a great fall/winter destination.

We came in around 2pm time frame , the atmosphere was a vibe, super friendly staff and the drinks hit the spot. For drinks we ordered the sweet home SA. Delicious To start we had the edamame which was so good. For our main dishes we ordered the yakisoba With chicken and the birria ramen. I would definitely recommend. So we stopped by here bc we actually saw this while we were getting dropped off at the Bruno Mars concert. When I saw it I thought it was a house which it was, but turned bar. Def an older crowd but cocktail menu is good and the food is I think Korean? So they do give a complimentary edamame dish and I personally would not order that, it was very chewy. But we did have a few cocktails and got the deep fried pork with kimchi. Would go again for the cocktails if we are ever that area again. They also give you tokens to use towards three different charities and when paying there is also two separate lines to tip them and then the charity. read more

5 Stars - A Must-Visit Ramen Spot! Cherrity Ramen Bar never disappoints! The ramen is always rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, and their seasonal drinks are creative and refreshing -- I always look forward to seeing what's new on the menu. The appetizers are just as impressive and great for sharing (or keeping all to yourself!). The service is consistently friendly and attentive, and the warm, inviting atmosphere makes it a place you'll want to keep coming back to. Easily one of my favorite spots in town! read more
The service and ambience is great! I found this restaurant through yelp and it wasn't what I expected. It's right across a stadium, making it a great place for people to get food after an event. We were a bit skeptical about the parking but you'll be fine as long as you park diagonal from the restaurant in the rocky area. The inside was very American and you wouldn't guess that they serve Japanese food! Since it was our first time here, we got charred edamame on the house! Also during happy hour, all their small bites are 50%. The food was a little more on the salty side but still good! They are known for their ramen, but my dad wanted a rice bowl instead. I would come again to try their ramen. read more

The ambiance is nice, the lighting is dim, there are paintings by local artists on the walls. The service was wonderful, kind people working here. We hadn't been here before and they offered us complementary Edamame which was so tasty, the ramen was great, the gyoza was great. Highly recommend going here! read more

First time dining here and it was amazing!! The happy hour is such a great deal- 50% off small plates and $6 select cocktails (paloma, old fashioned, daiquiri) plus some beers and wines. The paloma was sweet and the daiquiri was more on the sour side. The starters were overall great! Really liked the texture and taste of the karaage, and the slider were very big and filling! The niku dango were also very filling and comes with a side of rice!! My favorite was the charred endamame! For the main dishes, we got the vegetable double miso ramen. The beoth was super rich, and the vegetables were juicy, especially the mushrooms! The pork kimchi fried rice was also filling and tasty! The service was great, and the restaurant itself is very homy and artsy with local art that rotates! They also give each person a coin that you can place for their donation box. They have a ton of games in the corner of one of the rooms too! Overall, a super cozy place and very friendly staff! The parking lot is located across the street (there was no sign but it's on Montana street). You can call if you get lost! read more
The Cherrity Bar is a DELICIOUSLY perfect stop before the concert we were going to see. The chicken skewers were yum and not over cooked. Then we had the gyoza which were FULL of meat. They STUFFED them full. Then I ventured to try the ramen.... Now, I'm a die hard Ito fan. But I decided to try the ton Katsu Ramen... I don't think this could get more authentic. The pork slices were these beautiful, round, thinly sliced pieces of perfect pork sitting in an incredibly RICH Tonkotsu broth. Seriously, I died and went to food heaven. The whole experience was so amazing... i have written and left this review before I even exited the restaurant. Good job Chef/Owner. read more

Cherrity Bar is such a unique place! Located right by the Alamodome, the atmosphere is cozy & friendly. They have a nice outdoor & indoor area. The staff was helpful & gave foot recommendations for what food & drinks to get. The food arrived quickly & was delicious! Ramen had very good flavor. Will be back again! read more

kuriya aka the cherrity bar was an amazing place to dine at. i loved every moment. the place has a distinct aesthetic, it felt i was in a video game, more specifically life is strange. anyways!! the food was outstanding. the ramen was giving, everything had so much flavor. i got the tonkatsu ramen because you can't go wrong with that. every ingredient played a significant role into the dish and i love love love. thank you!! read more

It's been years since we've been to @cherritybar so we headed over for lunch today. It was perfect since happy hour is from 12noon to 3pm so the small plates were half off and certain drinks were discounted. My husband had a Moscow Mule, I had Painkiller and Dad had Lemonade. We had ordered enough to cover lunch and dinner! The Tsitsaron Manok was from the secret menu. Super crispy and great sauce! Also ordered Tebasaki Wings, Kushishiitake, Pickle Plate, Katsu Sliders (ate for dinner), Tonkotsu Ramen and Veggie Miso Ramen with pork belly and tofu. Everything was tasty! Gwen took good care of us. Chef Ernest advised us on the veggie broth since Dad needed low sodium. @cherritybar now has focused on supporting one charity a month. This month is the Alamo City Pit Bull Rescue! Great food and a cause you can get behind. Also, before you head over, claim the 8% cash back in Groupon. Fantastic food, drinks, and service at this bar - great indoor and outdoor options near the Alamodome. I highly recommend the appetizer sampler with mushrooms, chicken and pork - they all come with different sauces and it was fantastic! I also got the Ron burgundy cocktail and loved it. This place was great, well other than going on a game day at the Alamodome! We found parking right down the street $10 so it wasn't terrible. Walked up we were greeted and sat right away. Our waitress quickly arrived to bring water and asked if we had any questions. So we ordered drinks and appetizers. Soon after the dri KS arrived I got a can of pineapple eastciciders the wife a house made Cucumber lime soda which she loved!! Karrage and charred and spicy edamame came soon after! The Karaage was crispy and juicy with a great dipping sauce! The edamame was unique, spicy and delicious!!! Entrees arrived soon after, I got the chicken bone and shoyu ramen with tofu! Again a different and unique flavor but oh so great! Rich broth, soft chewy noodles with fresh veggies and yummy tofu! My wife got the Char Sui Don. The meat was cooked perfectly very tender and it came with lots of rice and the best broccoli we've ever had!! Last but not least we ordered the tempura fried ice cream, it arrived and it was huge! Had a nice and warm crispy shell and great vanilla ice cream inside. Also came with some strawberries on the bottom but they were very tangy. All in all, we will definitely be back to try some other menu items and some cocktails! Nice place, friendly staff and great food! read more
