A coworker recommended this place to me and I was looking forward to trying it with my mum for lunch. We went 7/21/17 and got there a little before noon. When we entered no one greeted us. I wasn't sure if we just sat or ordered at the register and then sat. I asked the cashier if we should place order with him and then sit and he said we can be seated and he would come to take our order. I asked for a menu and he gave us one menu. We sat and looked over the menu. There was another guy walking around that seemed to be helping customers, another one close to the cheeses as if he was putting out samples. We sat for a while and no one came over to us. I was on my lunch break and didn't really have the time to sit for 10 minutes. I got up and figured I'd place my order at the register instead as it may be quicker. I placed my order with the cashier, who wasn't very friendly at all and I asked him how long it would take. He said 15 - 20 minutes so I told him I would like it to go. My mum was still sitting at the table and not once did anyone go to the table and ask her if she needed help or if they could take her order or if she would like some water. Once I placed the order I went back to the table to wait. The cashier brought our order by just coming to the table and placing on the table. No, thank you for coming, do you need anything else, nothing!! It came less than 15 minutes so we decided to eat our sandwiches there. I had the chicken breast on whole wheat bread with pesto sauce. It was delish. Very good. My mum had the tuna melt and she was very happy with her sandwich and kept on commenting how good the bread was. Again, no one came to our table, asked how we were doing, offered us any water etc. Two men came and sat to the left of me by the window. The waiter came over, brought them water and took their order. A young couple came in and sat behind us. I watched as the waiter came over with a glass pitcher of water and poured them water and took their order. He left and then came back with a sample of cheeses for them. I said to my mum looks as if we weren't special enough to be offered any water and laughed. The atmosphere was not very welcoming and the service for US was poor to nonexistent. I was disappointed as the food was really good even though a little pricey. I'm glad I only paid for my food and not the service, I didn't leave a tip since we were not being served in any way and no one there was deserving a a monetary tip. I do have a tip however, learn how to treat your customers the same regardless of their race, smile, be cordial, respectful and serve everyone like they are welcome there. read more

Food rocks. Roast beef and blue cheese with cranberry and red lettuce on a baguette was really good. Cheese shop atmosphere is very nice. For first-timers this unit lacks a place to go to order, or seems to. Staff ranges from uber-helpful to clueless. It's a fun place to go and try a lot of cheeses with sampler plates, or just to grab a nice bite for lunch. read more

I love this place! The menu is perfect. The food delicious - if you like sandwiches and French bread - this is your place. A great selection of take out cheese too- soups are wonderful. A little noisy but who cares when the food is so good! read more

Good sandwiches and food. Wayyyy overpriced like ridiculously overpriced for the food offerings. Small portions not really filling. Better off buying the cheese whole sale from BJ's, and making it your self. read more

The only thing saving this location is that their sandwiches and soups are delicious but the service and management at this location is the worst. Terrible, terrible service. We frequently visit both Cheese Courses in Miami. The location in Pinterest has the slowest service ever! Waited over 30 mins for 3 sandwiches. The cashier/waiter came to our table to verify our sandwich order 30 minutes after we placed it. Thats when they started our sandwiches. This isn't the first time this happens. Kitchen staff seems to be disorganized as they bring out sandwiches that were ordered after ours. Service is deadly slow at this location. It's never full at night so I don't understand why the long wait?! They gave me a discount on my second glass of wine for our long wait. Which was insulting because it was only .40 cents less than the first glass of wine. Hello Cheese Course, listen to your guest and switch up your management team, have them train at your midtown location, do something! read more

This one star rating is for the poor service provided by the manager on duty. I loved this restaurant, but unfortunately I will never return do to the worst service ever. I tried to take my mom and sister out for lunch. We walked in and were not greeted. Staff looked at us but said nothing. I walked to the manger and asked were could we sit. She asked if we could please wait while the waitress cleaned the tables. We waited patiently. Once the waitress was done we went to sit in one of the recently clean tables, and the manager asked us to please sit at the long wooden table that was NOT CLEANED. No joke! Still being patient, we sat at the dirty table, and I asked the waitress for napkins so I could clean it off for my family. After wiping down the table, I realized we still had not received menu so I walked over and got the menus and pass them out to my family. After we figured out her order, still had not received a glass of water, I walked over to the manager and asked her if we could place our order. She proceeded to tell me that she needed 10 more minutes after we had been in there for 15 minutes in order to prepare because they just had a party. This "party" fact had NOT been mentioned during the entire episode. I asked her if we could just get water and a quick appetizer while we wait because we were hungry and she said no we need 10 more minutes. At that point we knew it was time to move on to another restaurant and we were obviously not a valued customer. I feel bad for the owner, because it is apparent the manger is not vested in the business. read more

Good food. I enjoyed the asparagus soup. However, service is a little slow, so be sure to get the check as soon as you're served if you're here for lunch during work. Also, be aware that some sandwiches are considered an "upgrade" on the soup and sandwich special, but they don't tell you that when you order, and there's really no rhyme or reason to which are more expensive. It's a nice place, but a little pricey. Between that and the expensive beverages, my husband and I ended up spending $30 on soup and half a sandwich. read more

The sandwiches are to die for. I had the Atlantic Salmon and substituted cream cheese for goat cheese.. Wow. Amazing. I also tried the Black Forest ham with bacon. Also an amazing sandwich! If it weren't for for the fact that it's a little pricey, I'd be saying "who's subway?" read more

If you have't been here I recommend you do try it. It's very quaint. You feel like you are in your dining room when seated at the big table. Their sandwiches are delicious and so are their soups. The cheese course offers a nice variety of offerings. I hope you enjoy it as much as my family does!!! read more

Food is good but when picking up take out check your orders before leaving because something is always missing.

The Cheese course always is top quality. AMAZING cheese! Sean R. was my waiter and did a fantastic job. Great service.

I love eating here. I usually take the kids I nanny and I've always tried something different every time we come and nothing seems to disappoint. They love it as well. Everything tastes fresh and exquisite. The staff is super friendly and always so helpful. Highly recommend read more

Arrived at the restaurant at 7:45. Was greeted by a hostess who was very nice until she informed us that they were closing by 8:30 because we wanted to dine in. I find that to be very unprofessional from them so I responded hopefully you can cook fast enough so we can eat. I have never had that encounter at any restaurant even when we have walked in close to the closing time. I thought service to patrons was the upmost importance. Food was great but hostess should have known better. So we finished by 8:15 with our order. I will probably return because of the food, but now I know not to walk in at 7:45 so I won't get reminded they close at 8:30. read more

We had been to the Midtown location several times and loved it. This one is not even a distant relative. You'd think that a good cheese place would serve good mozzarella. Wrong! My husband and I each got 2 pieces of rubber and 2 slices of pale tomatoes. They should be ashamed to serve such trash. Only 2 tables were occupied and there were several young workers around, but service was very slow. Never again. read more

I like the new "sit down" concept. Continue to love the tomato bisque soup! Great salmon sangwich. Great friendly service!!! Thumbs up!

I love the cheese course. So when out with the girls in the Kendall area, we were craving a nice afternoon cocktail. Being from the area, Jackie S suggested Cheese Course. I was so excited... I frequent the Cheese Course in Midtown Often (It's one of my "review of the day"). This Cheese Course definitely met my expectations. The girl at the register was very nice. She let us try all the cheese we wanted and even the wine. In the end, we went with a nice pinot blanc and a cheese platter. It was the perfect way to relax on a Saturday afternoon. I wonder if the Cheese Course has any interest in heading North. Pembroke Pines Maybe? read more

Wow, found this cool little place by accident. Great place to get a nice glass of wine and charcuterie board. A lot of cheese options. I just went with manchego and meat bits with prosciutto and Serrano ham. Laid back and casual atmosphere. read more

The Cheese Course - Cheese Shops Near Me - Pinecrest, Florida

I have been wanting to eat here for a while, and I almost did once but experienced sticker shock and left. Now, with groupon in hand, I was ready to pop this cherry! I had the pesto mozzarella and basil with prosciutto half with the buffalo chicken soup. OMG! It was delicious! I would have licked the inside of the bowl if I wasn't in Pinecrest (pinkies up) and I devoured my sandwich. Inside the place is cozy but not cramped, very friendly staff, and very low key vibe. Kudos for the purse hooks that line that wall so we ladies can eat comfortably. I'll be back for sure :) read more

Location not very big but thankfully there was a long table to accommodate all 7 of us. We ordered cheese platters, wine, chicken sandwich , a quiche and can't recall the rest, but everything was delicious. Since we had a birthday girl amongst us, we had this brownie with cupcakes and cookie and they where so nice to plate it with a candle. The brownies were amazing. It's a bit pricey but worth it. They sell wines and utensils for cheese serving among other things. Service is quick and staff friendly and courteous. read more

Love cheese! Love the selection! Loved my order! The sandwiches are big enough to share, which is what I plan on doing next time. The selection is vast so make time to get the whole experience when you go. read more

This was my first time having lunch at this place and it was really cheesy, which is never a bad thing. The ambiance is extremely nice and the hot sandwich that I had was really flavorful (the grilled chicken) I also had the broccoli soup and that was my FAVORITE! The balance between the cheese and the broccoli was just perfect. The only reason why I won't give it 5 stars is because the guy ringing us up was a little rude and I went back to him to ask him to please have the onions removed from my sandwich, he agreed and then brought the sandwich filled with onions. read more

Service sucked... 20 mins for a sandwich and others getting served that came after me

We went inside todag expecting a mediocre experience with the staff and the food but we were wrong. We immediately got greeted and were able to sit wherever. Our waiter was short and throughout the whole time had a huge smile on his face and treated me and my husband like we were his friend. My husband ordered a sandwich and I, a salad, both being great and delightful to eat we kept being distracted by the decor of the restaurant and it's cleanliness, this is a great little restaurant for dates. I asked the waiters name, him being "Reno" and he gave us great service. The food and staff is great and fast! I can't wait to come back! read more

Our lunch today was awful. I don't understand how a cheese restaurant is out of so many basic items like cheddar cheese and goat cheese. Also, my Greek salad was served with what tasted like old dried out feta cheese. Embarrassed I was taking a friend to lunch and we had a disappointing meal. The waitress has no explanation and did not seem to care. read more

First visit on Friday and it was probably my last. They advertised on their web and Facebook page that they would have complimentary Fondue tasting. It was cancelled. So we proceed to order the Fondue anyways and was told that it included 2 glasses of wine. We also ordered a bottle of wine and a French cheese platter. Half way through our meal, we realize that we never received the 2 glasses of wine and were missing a few items from the cheese platter. Once we brought it to the attention of the girl behind the counter, it was corrected but the entire situation left a bad impression with us. The fondue was OK, the tea-light did not last very long and the cheese quickly hardened. On a positive note, the staff was very knowledgeable on the wine and cheese pairings. We may try this restaurant one more time, probably the Midtown location, to see if the service and food is any better. read more

The service is lacking. The food runner seem like they lacked experience. There where no menu to sit and look at. No explanation or attempt to sell any product. The table top where dirty and full of other people's plates and crumbs. The decor is nice. The food is ok. You would think a cheese store would know better in serving cheese cold. They should be allowed the cheese to come to room temp so the fats loosen up and bring flavor to your pallet. Nothing we ate was amazing in any way. Although the smoked salmon was nice. The lentil soup was ok. There was hair in my wife's sandwich. The entrance to the bathroom seemed like storage area instead of a customer area. Bathroom where unkept. I prefer other places for this price point. We did not expect it to be this bad. Truly disappointed read more

I wanted to get something small to eat and although it was busy and packed, i was impressed with how clean the restaurant was and the way the staff handled their customers. I ordered a stuff avocado with a chicken salad and they were on top of the order with speed and accuracy. Let alone, the staff were friendly and gave off a welcoming atmosphere. The server that catered to my order was professional and able to multi task with other customers. Management knows what they're doing and i am satisfied i came here. I will most definitely come back again. read more

I've lived in Miami for 4 years now, and honestly there are no true cheeses places here except for this place. They don't have all the options in the world but what they have is great. The sandwiches are killer! The wine is solid and the service is great. Yes! A place in Miami where people are nice! (I know it's almost rare). I really enjoy this place. Even for a nice date the place is great. Have one of the platters, a glass a wine and enjoy! The prices are not bad at all either. read more

Super cute atmosphere. Tasty food. I got the grilled cheese and the tomato soup and couldn't have been happier!

I have been at this particular cheese course several times. The young lady at the register was very cordial and helpful. I was very disappointed in the older man. He reprimanded the young employee who was taking what seamed to be taking a large order on the phone. He seemed upset that a customer called him to wait on him. He reprimanded the young girl who was doing her the best she could. He made a comment in front of customers which was very inappropriate . You think he would know better. The serve previous times was much better than today. I was extremely disappointed in our service. read more

I've been there twice for lunch and both times the service and food were great! Bacon & onion quiche, so delicious as well as the chicken salad sandwich with tomato basil soup. The house wine is very good. Seating can be hard at times, but it's worth it. I will be back. read more

I haas the chicken Cesar salad here. Everything is fresh. The chicken in other places tends to be fatty and not as good. But this chicken tasted fresh and not processes. And of course all the cheeses they use in their meals are great. THey have nice party platters I've ordered for a couple events. A little expensive but worth it on occasion. read more
