She was incredibly helpful, met with us multiple times to make sure all the details were worked out, and went above and beyond to make our event exactly what we wanted. We loved that we were able to customize so much of the space and make it feel like our own. Amanda also worked closely with our wedding coordinator to handle setup, which made the entire process so easy for us. We were even able to borrow some of Iron Works'/Amanda's personal décor, which saved us money and the headache of having to purchase everything ourselves. She also helped us design an image for the video wall, which was such a cool feature to have displayed on the stage! The vibe of the venue was exactly what we were looking for. We wanted more of a fun wedding celebration/party rather than a traditional wedding reception, and Iron Works was perfect for that. We did not have a sit-down dinner, and instead had plenty of food, drinks, dancing, and time for everyone to hang out. The vast majority of our guests really seemed to love this style of celebration. We also found that we spent less than we would have at a more traditional wedding venue, while still having an amazing and memorable event. The audio was another huge highlight. Props to the audio team! It was so cool having our wedding at a venue that is designed for music. We had a DJ, and the sound was incredible. I think Iron Works would be especially awesome for anyone considering a live band. The bar staff was also fantastic -- super attentive, quick with drinks, and just had great vibes throughout the night. We did a consumption bar, which was a really nice option and gave us some additional flexibility. Setup and breakdown were also incredibly easy for us. Amanda and our wedding coordinator handled everything, so we really didn't have to worry about the logistics. We were also able to leave some things behind and pick them up the next day, which was a huge help after a long night of celebrating. Overall, we are thrilled that we chose Iron Works for our reception. The flexibility, atmosphere, staff, and ability to customize everything made it such a great fit for the type of celebration we wanted. We would absolutely recommend Iron Works to anyone looking for a wedding venue that feels a little less traditional and a lot more like a party. I didn't get any food and only had water to drink (stay hydrated!), but it looked like a pretty expansive menu for drinks. I was a little wary about the immediate surrounding area, since the streets immediately around the venue were cobblestone. This made it kind of hard to walk, when it wasn't super well lit. I was also confused by the parking arrangement in the area, since it seemed like the garage had some access restriction and the parking around the backside of the building also had confusing signage. This is not a criticism of the business whatsoever, just an important note for the other aspects of your visit.

There was also a waitress coming around asking if we wanted drinks or food. They have a small menu, and the food sounded good, but I wasn't hungry. You can park on the street or in their small parking lot, which holds about 25/30 spots. You'll enter the venue via a dark door near the front parking spot. There is much more room inside, than how it looks from their lot. The lot was a bit hard to find. I ended up driving around the block and then I noticed it. I'd love to come back here and see another concert soon!

A friend asked why she was not performing in the Mary Seton room at Kleinhans Music Hall. I think the acoustics are better here, as are the slightly padded chairs. It is certainly more intimate.

There is a floor standing room area you can watch the music, as well as two elevated seating areas. The seats were pews and very roomy. It was nice to be able to sit and enjoy the show free from the crowds. The sound quality was mostly good but at times I found it was very loud and hard to hear what the musician was saying. The BPO has a fantastic variety of programming (classics, pops, kids shows) and there are also a lot of one off events as well. The one down side is that the parking is pretty awful. There are paid lots, but other than that you need to depend on street parking (which might be several blocks away). The set up is the ground surrounded by a few higher tiers so there's not a bad spot in the building. My husband had no problems coming and going for drinks, which were inexpensive, especially for a concert venue. It's a nice touch especially when there's a million things you forget when you go out to the bar and don't want to have to carry a million things. Overall it was a great night. There weren't a ton of people there so it getting drinks at the bar was easy. The bar out front is great and the drinks are always on point. It's really cool the way they have giant pictures of a lot of the artists that have performed there over the years. The bar in the back is ok. The bartender seemed annoyed and was damn near inconvenienced by us standing at the bar but I just ignored his ass and enjoyed my night. It was a great night and I look forward to more shows.

Even the music and rising level of noise brought in an atmosphere to raise the expectations and mood. The food was tasty. Plentiful appetizers bar-style with a few vegetarian options. Located in what used to be a school, there are light refreshments available (pizza, popcorn, drinks, candy) setup in the hallway. The show takes place in a school auditorium. It was a sold out show so it was packed. With auditorium seating, it was kinda tight and everyone had to get up from their seats if anyone needed to get out, so I wasn't a huge fan of this for a comedy show. Also, there were not enough bathrooms for the amount of people, but they extended intermission until everyone could go (which was nice). However tickets were cheap and I appreciated that they don't have a 2 item minimum policy like other venues do. So I would probably go back.
