There was a lot that was 25 per cent off, including an amazing floor-to-ceiling framed canvas of these gorgeous abstract red poppies I would so love to hang, If I had the wall space. There's unique furniture, from upholstered chairs with Indonesian wood to impressive boudoirs, coffee tables and bureaus. There's lots of decor, from $600 original blown-glass decorative bowls and plates to silk and brocade pillows, jewelry, chandeliers, and throws. It's impossible to do this place justice in words. The impressive collection must be seen and appreciated. If you're looking for original items for your home, include this on your treasure hunt.

I could immediately tell we would not be able to afford anything in the store, but we browsed anyways. The woman who worked here showed us around and showed us the wine glasses she had available. They were not my style (and I could not have afforded them if I wanted them) because they were very formal, and I was looking for something a little more fun. They did have a selection of wine glasses and other things for 25% off, but even with the discount, these items were not in our range. Despite the lack of money that we had available we walked slowly through this store and browsed the beautiful things. Everything was very formal and fancy. If I had enough money to splurge, I would go here and buy one of their beautiful tables. This store is dripping in glamour and it needs to be seen to believed.

Downsides: the primary staff member I spoke with about an ottoman wasn't overly friendly and definitely wasn't helpful, but the young man who lent me his measuring tape was a gem. I also found the "ambiance" of this place to be a bit yuck- the lighting was a strange shade of yellow that I think was raining on my parade. There's even a small cooler with unique drinks in the corner. I started following the shop on Instagram ages ago. So I was thrilled that they are close to my relocated area. The first time I was in the shop was honestly to only grab flowers to brighten a friend's day. Yet, I ended up walking out with an assortment of things - ribbon tape, soap, some candles, hand cream, Edmonton trivia cards, etc. Small but unique or local items always makes good gifts! I love so many things in this store and recommend this place if it's gift giving items you're looking for or even the extra self love/care items. I've shopped here for gifts that I felt I could further customize for friends and family or add to a group gift to enhance the selected theme. The staff is always very helpful when they see me looking at the displays or carrying multiple items (I walk with a cane so I appreciate their concern of I can hold onto something for a time). I've even suggested this place to others to stop at when they come to Edmonton as it's a very pretty store just to pop into quickly for future inspiration. Most recently I've bought myself bouquet filter to fix my seasonal bouquet (sadly the seasonal element to a Christmas bouquet was severely lacking from a different store - people let this be a lesson on you get what you pay for). The ladies suggested some items I wouldn't of even thought to consider or ask for. Some really cool red berry looking thing too. Happily I can report that adding those suggestions plus what I wanted together with the flowers I already had resulted in an amazing amount of virtual complements during the holiday. Plus I got what I really was looking for - that real tree smell in my little apartment! I recently had to reduce the filler in my vase to only the pine. So I can confirm their product lasts a good amount of time or longer than expected. I've brought multiple bouquets and floral items from them in the last couple of years and everyone I've gifted a bouquet has said the same thing. If I could give a 4.5 I would as seriously this place. It truly is a great as a store and the shop for the most part is arranged to give a lots of space to move around. This was before only a few people were allowed in at a time (covid restrictions). They even have the most lovely shop dog. Hand sani out at the front and easy to read signs. It's honestly the parking lot that makes it go down a point. As someone that is mobility limited, I don't enjoy the real life game of frogger. Especially in winter amongst cars entering quickly off the corner of Whyte ave and 96 St into the uniquely shaped and noticeably slopped parking lot. To make things really challenging for drivers (and shoppers trying to get to and from cars), there's one access point parking lot. Lots of times you see people backing up further into the lot or back on the street to get another car out or into the parking lot. So drive with caution, especially when reversing. Yes, there's a handicap stall and a few other spots near the door but that's usually the first to be taken. Especially if it's a long weekend. I don't mind trying to challenge myself from time to time with walking distances but it's the slope in the parking lot that personally makes me nervous in winter due to my lack of balance. The unique parking situation is not the shop's fault. One assumes from the look of the building, the footprint is definitely from the older days. Do keep in mind if you choose to park there, that the lot is shared with Earth's General Store. As you can imagine, being connected to a small and unique grocery store creates a very busy parking lot with usually few people waiting to go inside (due to limited number of customers allowed at one time). So if you can bike, bus or walk over, I would recommend it. Bike rack is located along the dividing wall that leads to the sister store of Maven and Grace. Bus stop is literally as close as you can get for a bus stop on Whyte Ave. I have also noticed the last few months a lot of people parking in the Humpty's lot across the street or along the other side of Whyte Ave (so not to be in the bus zone) and walking over. All in all, the shop itself is awesome to find that perfect gift or brighten your own day with something a little special.

Check them out too!), and I will definitely be back! When you walk into the store, it's just so beautiful! The products are nicely displayed, it smells wonderful and the prices for items are fairly reasonable. It's not just a store with a bunch of local knick knacks, but they have some unique kitchen supplies, chocolates, body care, beard care, jewelry, etc. I picked up 2 PLAYin CHOC which is like an organic kinder surprise. It's dairy, nut and plastic free and the little toy inside is either an endangered or woodland animal. When I open them, I'll post more pics. And also picked up 2 Karat chocolate bars, and oh my....are they ever delicious! They're a company out of Kelowna and I'm a new fan for sure! They're Pineapple Upside Down is scrumptious and then we also got the Milk and Cereal bar. Both are amazing! If you're in the Whyte Ave area, definitely check out Maven and Grace. We are the first point of entry for many traveling too and from Fort McMurray, Cold Lake, Bonnyville and so on. It isn't necessarily the exact route one would take but for those trying to avoid traffic of the larger Centres we are a great option and it really helps support the local businesses in town to have more and more draws next to to Costco!! Why go to Edmonton for all of that when you can easily avoid another hour of travel on a busy day. I would comfortably say whether a woman, man local or not this store is an easy solution to a huge variety of shopping needs. Like the other locations, it's bright, clean, and crammed full of items for the home, from bedding to decorative items, all at good prices. I'm always surprised at the variety of items I can find, and that none of them hurt my bank balance. Some favourite finds have included cuddly-soft pet beds, towels, storage pieces, throw pillows and vases. I seriously never leave empty handed!

The store is so filled with items that there's always something new to spot when visiting. It is perhaps hard to find what you're looking for if you only want to find something very specific but if you're open to finding new things this is a great option! The floor creaks when you walk in some spots and the decor and store itself is old but this adds to the charm. It can be overwhelming to visit (but sometimes this saves me some money).

Every single thing in this store is so damn cute, including the owner. She was funny, had great conversation and told us lots about the makers and various store items. This shop is a good mix of well-lit vendor booths filled with antique, vintage and reproduction items. They sell a decent variety of paint and hardware if you're looking to up-cycle your projects. For all you do-it-yourselfers out there, we saw a really nice selection of tin ceiling tiles and barnboard available! I always feel nostalgic looking through the vintage stuff from the '70s. Both of us spotting different items and laughing, "hey, do you remember this?" There were several booths that had "sale" signs up offering 10-20% off of all items in that booth. Keep your eye out for great deals. Hubby scored a working toy machine gun (with original box) for 20% off! The lady I spoke with (the owner?) was chatty and very nice. This store obviously had a lot of regular & loyal customers as she seemed very familiar with a number of patrons in the store.
