Well we had much higher hopes for this place but it was average at best.
Place is clean and like the decor but personally, I'm not a fan of the fluorescent office lights.
Service wasn't bad. She was nice and pleasant.
First off, we ordered the Queso for an app and for some reason, they were out of that. Yup, Mexican restaurant out of cheese dip. lol. That's a first.
Food came out in decent time and our plates looked good. My wife ordered the chicken taquitos and they were real good. Meat was tender and flavorful!
I ordered the Pork carnitas plate and I have to say that it was disappointing. The pork had ZERO flavor and it was completely dry. Almost every piece was from the edge and it was hard and overcooked. We ordered a side of their green chile (which was good) just to smother over the meat but the pork was too hard to chew. The rice n beans weren't bad though.
We told them the issue and they didn't seem to understand. I couldn't eat my food so I just sent it back. Well they didn't take it off the bill unfortunately. So I shared my wife's dinner which we enjoyed.
With all that being said, we will go back and try again but with all the Mexican restaurants in our valley, I'd rather go to a place that we know where we get great food and ambiance but will give this place another chance down the road. So middle of the road at best for this first visit. Will see. Good luck to them though as opening a new place is always difficult. Especially when there's so many other restaurants that are similar in food, price, service and vibe. read more
