A total hidden gem in Rifle with a dog-friendly patio. You will be bombarded by chain restaurants close to the freeway, but if you take a short trip into the heart of town, you will find El Rincon. I got fantastic, warm service from my waitress. Decided to go with a 2 item combo plate with a chicharron pupusa, a chicken "enchilada," rice and beans, and added a side of fried plantains. All of the food was hot, fresh, and tasty. The pupusa and plantains were both cooked to perfection. The enchilada was not the traditional Spanish style you typically picture, but a crispy Central American style. I wasn't entirely sure how to eat it as the shell was super crispy and there was some liquid oozing out, but the flavor and texture combo was still enjoyable. Overall nice portions and more than left me with a happy, full belly. Will definitely come back whenever I am stopping through Rifle and hope I get the same server! read more

This was an awesome find by my wife. It is a tad past the business district in a strip mall by itself. The parking lot was empty but I was people on the patio to the side of the restaurant. Turns out there is parking in the back. The hostess who ended up being our waitress was wonderful. She was great with the girls and was informative when it came to suggestions. My wife and I both had the combo. I got a corn tamale, Loroco and cheese pupusa and the chicken pastelito. I actually took a bite of the rice to kick off my dish and I was blown away. Normally rice is an after thought and when I tried this I couldn't wait to try the main dishes. All of it was wonderful. I couldn't have been happier. My favorite was the pupusa while my wife loved the pastelito most. The tamale was made differently than the ones I usually get which are Mexican. This one was so good but I'm a fan of cornbread and it tasted very much like that. I'd be tempted to go back again soon when I'm passing through town. I was surprised to get authentic Salvadoran food in Rifle Co, but hey, I'll take it! It was tasty and exactly what you want when you have a craving for pupusas. The curtido could be a bit more flavorful but it was good. I was happy with my pupusas. Yucca frita was crispy and perfectly salty. I've had better plantain but I think I just expercted sweeter- I've had them with some sugar caramelized over the top to be eaten with the crema and I think I just liked the extra sweetness- el Rincon did nothing wrong! With many highly rated latin restaurants in Rifle, it was hard to choose just one! Still, this restaurant was a home run. The service was friendly and the atmosphere inviting. Most importantly though, the food was incredible! We ordered carne asada and camarones con crema. Both came with a fresh side salad, rice, beans and then some extras like queso, sausage and platanos. The shrimp sauce and the carne were maybe the best we have ever had - the carne was thicker than elsewhere and cooked to our liking at a medium doneness. El Rincon has earned a spot on my list of favorite restaurants on the western slope!! read more

We enjoyed our meal here. My food was delicious. I ordered the Honduran enchilada. I would get it again. It's totally different from a Mexican enchilada but was very good. My husband had a fish sandwich and it was ok. He will order something more authentic next time. read more

If I have to score this place it will be with a B-. I think the food is good and is quiet so if your looking for something more low profile and good enough this is it. I would just say that "Tapatíos" and "Tequilas" restaurant are better choices but more crowded. read more

went here for a Sunday lunch. we ordered and waited for our food for more than an hour. we got our food and it felt like they took it out of the fridge and put it on our plate.
