He took the time to fully understand our needs and price points and made every effort with corporate on alternatives to how our selection could be held until our money was available while taking advantage of special prices available. Throughout the time of our first visit to the day after delivery, they made us feel like being valued customers was as important as just making a sale. They were even quick to rush out to the parking lot on one of our visits to assist when I fell and got me back on my feet. We then received follow up inquiries on 3 occasions to ensure I was okay! To sum up our experience with the company and its' sales employee, we found them knowledgeable, reliable, dedicated to customer satisfaction and just because delivery is complete, they still gave assurances they will be there for any issues that might surface during the "sleep-test"  and beyond throughout the warranty period.

What can I say except these guys are cheats! They sold us USED adjustable bed frames at "last…read moreyears" price. After much haggling we settled on a frame and mattresses but when we said the price was still way too high, the one who is the store manager says he's found last year's model at last year's price in the warehouse. We agree and sign the papers, they say "if you are not happy you can return it for free, no charge" Lies!!! Everything was delivered while we were away but as soon as we put the lights on we could see right away that the frame has scratches and the remotes for the adjustable bed frames have been worn down by use. My neighbor who was there when they were delivered said the frame was wrapped in plastic not in a box they would normally come in. Thank god the mattresses are new, at least I think they are! We called, we went back to the store to complain and say we want new bed frames and we want them to take back the used frames. The other guy who is not the manager says he doesn't believe they would sell a used frame and if we want a new frame we'd have to pay the new frame price. When we asked why we were sold an old bed frame he has no answer but says Ian is not here. In the end we paid a few grand for USED bed frames maybe even from the homes of Stan and Ollie who knows. We even tried to reach the main store and email someone about the used car feel of the store but no one could give us a person or direct email or telephone number to anyone in charge. These two slicksters should be ashamed of themselves. I would not recommend this store to anyone, ever!

Love love love Sleepmaster, so much so that I've made two (relatively expensive) purchases there…read more My primary motivation for searching for and purchasing WJ Southard mattresses was ecological. They are a local retailer and manufacturer. They source and use quality materials that are natural/organic. I've never experienced any off-gassing, something I'm extremely sensitive to. The longevity of the mattress far exceeds a traditional innerspring. Their mattresses definitely come at a higher price point than if you were to go to Metro Mattress, Dream City, etc., but I have no doubt I will be sleeping on our Sleepmaster mattress for 20 or more years. I can say already that after I first purchased a Linklaen in 2014, I bought a run of the mill pillowtop from Dream City for our guest bedroom. The guest bed has already shit out on us, after hosting a handful of guests and occasionally my sleepy dog. Carol is a wonderful salesperson (and she may be the only one there?), knows her product, is personable and straightforward. She always seems willing to cut a deal for you, especially if you are a return customer. I don't know if this is part of her sales gimmick, but if it is, it is effective as her delivery is quite sincere. I ended up purchasing a Linklaen, which is Sleepmaster's all latex model. It is definitely a very firm mattress, and keep in mind that if you lay on their floor model in the store, it is MUCH softer than what you will actually receive, after being broken in by many backs and butts of people wanting to test it out. When I moved into a bigger house and had a bedroom that could accommodate a king, I went back to Sleepmaster and ended up getting an Archetype pillowtop, which is a bit softer model. It is a traditional innerspring with a latex topper. There is no breaking in period for this model. It feels like it's been your ride or die mattress. It is firm enough for me, soft enough for my husband, and roomy enough for the two of us, a toddler and a dog. The Archetype pillowtop is one of Sleepmaster's most expensive models - including delivery an hour away, it set me back $3402 (I did not purchase the box spring, that was just for the mattress). However! If the mattress lasts 20 years at least, and I'm sleeping on it every night, it breaks out to about .46 cents per night's sleep, and that sounds pretty good to me. FYI, if you are searching for WJ Southard, Sleepmaster is the stockist, and that is where Google Maps will send you if you're searching for Southard.

So.... Scholet Furniture sold us a bedroom set on Halloween. It took until sometime in December…read morebefore it was delivered. A WEEK later the bed broke. It took over a month and a half before we got someone from service to respond to us and actually come out and fix it. Based on the design of the bed it was obvious that it wasn't going to last. They said 'they'd call us to discuss options for a permanent solution' as the onsite technician agreed but said all he could do was put it back to the way we bought it. This weekend it broke again. Had we heard from Scholet since end of January when they were here? Of course not. Their 'service' department is the furthest thing from it. We spent 2,000+ on a full set for our bedroom. Not only did the center supports break, one of the slats screws striped out of its hole and as we moved the bed to try and 'temporarily fix it' we find that the headboard was half unscrewed from just sleeping in the bed and would have just fallen off soon. At this point our bedroom has become a jungle gym nightmare that LUCKILY we were able to fit our mattress on the floor with the set still in the room. So we call to request the whole set be returned as its been a whole 4 1/2 months since we took delivery and we've had major issues twice and we obviously don't want part of a set in our room we bought the set b/c we wanted a SET. WE don't want to wait weeks for their service people to come out, not solve the problem and then promptly forget us again. We want it out of our house. SO What happened when we called? Call 1: Sunday - Sales says service will get back to us. Call 2: Monday - from Service "We'll have to talk to the owner they're not here today", our response: " CALL THEM, we can barely move in our room and its not our fault only one person can authorize a return in a company as large as Scholet" Call 3: Monday - from Service "We'll only take back the bed" That's funny, they were billed as a set, so I expect the set to be refunded ,not some arbitrary number assigned to each piece without any detail on our receipt that it was the original price of the pieces when we bought it. Needless to say, we're out a bed frame. We are probably out over a thousand dollars b/c we're now stuck with a cheap feeling bedroom set that's incomplete once the broken frame is taken away. Their only defense is "We've never had one break like this, lets just give you a new one". What the hell is a new one just like the existing one going to change???? The supports are a single pole in the center on a single bolt in SOFT wood that's about an inch thick on each side. ANY Shift in weight on it is going to do exactly what happened, RIP THE BOLTS out of it. Another frame of the exact same design isn't going to cut it and Scholet's terrible response time for delivery and repair already made us not want to work with them further. TLDR: -Bad Bed Frame Design, -It took them nearly 2 months to come fix it it the first time after it broke under a week of having it. -We've had the bed for 5 months. -They refused to take it back as a set, and at first refused to take it back at all. -They're going to refund us 'what the bed cost'. According to my invoice that's ~2,000.00 and included a dresser, night stand and mirror. -They're going to break the set price apart and only refund us for the bed. So we're stuck with PART of a bedroom set for our room.
