Dan is the Man! What…read morea pro, and what tremendous customer service. I had no idea what to expect when I decided to sell my lot of 65 ungraded T206 cards. I'd rediscovered them in a forgotten binder, hiding in a closet for some 35 years. My son and I had collected them cheaply in the late 80s, purely as a hobby, not an investment. I had no idea where to go for an honest appraisal. Fortunately, I found Just Collect with a quick google search. Their submission form was simple. I loaded cell-phone pics of my cards, front and back, in four groups based on my amateur's description of their condition. As advertised, Dan emailed me back asap with an up-front assessment. To give me idea of their process, he gave me a firm offer for each of my 8 (lesser) HOF players. His detail evaluation included their condition, their retail worth, and his offer (based on Just Collect's percentage scale). The offer, of course, was contingent on assessing the cards in hand -- including all of the commons, which he definitely was interested in. Dan's email encouraged me to call with questions. And I did, several times (!) . Each time, Dan picked up immediately, explaining the shipping process etc. Full disclosure: We didn't complete the deal, through no fault of Dan's. I actually ordered the shipping materials. But in the short time waiting for them to arrive, I was referred to a local dealer (someone I'd never heard of). He made a strong offer for all of my T206s, plus random other vintage cards. So I took the easy (lazy and impatient) way --- and sold locally rather than ship and wait. When I emailed Dan to explain my decision, he responded promptly and graciously. Class all the way. As it turns out, I've unearthed a couple of old World Series tix from another closet. I emailed photos to Dan to see if Just Collect handles ticket stubs. Sure enough, I got a detailed offer back asap. As I said before, Dan's the man!

I typically buy classic balsa wood flying aircraft models from these guys, and I really appreciate the day one of them took me into the storage side of the shop to show me the classics like Peck Polymers or the Midwest Gollywock (which I purchased). That day, Star Wars model kits was what I was after, and they had 'em. When you first walk in, to your left, the row is nothing but sci-if kits! Nerd heaven, and I wish I could have spent more time there but there were people waiting to get in.

Are you a collector that peruses eBay and the like for really expensive, discontinued or vintage…read morethings that range in condition of being still packaged to loose and in barely saleable condition? This is probably worth a stop for you! Hidden Treasures has set up shop in the Livingston Mall and has so much collectible stuff crammed into nice, brightly lit glass cases. The things in here include (but definitely isn't limited to) - Statue figures from Comic characters, wrestlers, athletes, Horror movie characters, vinyl records, sports memorabilia, movies/cd's, Cowboy boots & vests, niche limited run collectible cards, watches, vintage lunch boxes, vintage trinkets, antique dishware and much more. It's pretty cool and overwhelming. The store is like a large indoor flea market with rows of cases instead of booths. If you want to examine or buy something you speak with a staff member at the front of the store for help. If anything sells, It looks like the 'owner' of that case gets a cut. That brings me to why this place comes down some pegs for me. At a flea market or otherwise, you can maybe haggle with the vendor. True there might be some legit treasures, but lets face it some of this stuff is a tad overpriced and other things I couldn't see moving anytime soon. This takes me back to the eBay example. You drop your stuff in there and if sells, that's it. No interacting with the customer to make a deal. Perhaps you can haggle with whomever is present, but that seems weird. Why would I haggle with you if it's not your stuff? The other thing was while browsing this particular day this guy was coughing and wheezing like crazy. He and his friend had no mask on. If you weren't hacking your lungs out I wouldn't even care about the mask as much, but he was. He was walking around while doing this, sometimes not even covering his mouth and the guy running the store never said anything. There was even a sign saying, must wear mask to enter. So maybe they were friends with him, but there was a lot wrong with that. With all that, if you're a collector, this may be worth checking out. Just like a flea market though, you may catch more here than a deal.

This location specializes in action figures, statues, retro home consoles, and other keepsakes. As I entered the store, it had the feel of a museum because many items are not available in retail stores. I was especially impressed with the detail of the action figures. The characteristics of each trait are handcrafted perfectly and I can guarantee you will instantly recognize each specific trait. There is a diverse variety of additional merchandise in True Believers. An entire wall is filled Funko Pop! vinyl figures. Although I don't collect any cards, there are many Pokémon trading cards available; they are surprisingly valuable. The video game systems will also keep you entertained. They also do not guarantee that your item can be sold to them even though they say that they buy anything and everything.
