A games and hobby store. They've got Dungeons and Dragons and other tabletop RPGs, board games, models, and card games like Magic: the Gathering and Lorcana. They have organized play for D&D, Magic, and a few others. I've found the regular players to be very welcoming and friendly. Prices are competitive but typically higher than online, but you get your product right away and you get staff to help you if you're not sure what to buy. Parking in the gravel lot is limited. On organized play nights it's usually full, but there is ample street parking on Seney Dr a short walk away. read more

Customer service was great. Love the coziness of the of the business. A ton of selection when it comes to card games like Pokemon, One Piece, Magic, and many more. I came in to buy One Piece ST-10, and they had it. I asked the person at the front many different questions about tournaments and inventory. They were awesome about it. I came here last night with a friend who wanted to pick up an order (New Warhammer 40K rule book). This was my first time here. There is some parking right in front of the store (on a gravel lot) and street parking. I can see this being a problem if the store gets very crowded. The staff was very nice in assisting my friend with his order. The store looks great -it has many figures on display and is decently sized. There appear to be two rooms downstairs and the game room is upstairs (where events are held). They also offer some light snacks (chips) and bottled ice tea. A homely local game store to the central New Jersey area, The Bearded Dragon is a renovated gift shop with an unparalleled level of cleanliness, thematic accoutrements and friendly service. Approaching the location you are greeted by two stone lions and a gravel parking lot with stone benches. Inside, stained glass artwork, an impressive inventory and massive upstairs play space make usually introverted people thrive in a comfortable, social environment. Large wall mounted televisions on both floors provide opportunity to watch plenty of things as a group. If you're in need of a sparkling water, candy or coffee they are readily available. Adult beverages may be procured at a tavern with great burgers just next door. For board game and trading card game players you owe it to yourselves to make the trip out to Bernardsville and experience The Bearded Dragon. read more

Nice store~ probably the fanciest gaming store I've been in in a while. They had a really nice selection and they're off to a great start but I hope the stock grows to match the largest competitors in the area. Huge display table of dragons in the middle of the store? Gorgeous! But I'd rather there were a few more shelves of games to peruse. Guy at the register was friendly and helpful. The tables upstairs will be an awesome resource for those who want to gather / game in public. Some points: - Parking - might be problematic if they get much more store traffic - when I left the landscapers next door had totally blocked off the driveway - luckily I had parked on the street. Five guys blowing leaves from one side of the parking lot to the other? Come on - this is a business, customers need access. - Prices - are essentially MSRP for most things, I didn't get a sense anything was marked "up" as other reviews mentioned, but you're certainly not getting a "deal" - which is consistent with every other FLGS. Want the bargain-basement low price on your book? eBay or Amazon it. Want to support face-to-face gaming resources (free play space, networking for game groups, etc) and gaming culture where you live? Shop in places like this. I'll be back~ - People coming in and out seemed to be friends and quite tight w manager which is GREAT but make sure to open that up to new customers like me - beware clique-like atmospheres, it can make your customers feel like they're shopping in someone's living room. A message board for ppl to post about looking for games or players might be good - and if a customer is browsing RPG books, ask if they have a group. On 2 seperate occasions the store was closed during non-holiday business hours with no explanation. The second time an employee casually walked up with a starbucks at least 30 minutes after the store was scheduled to open. He rudely and half assed apoligized for being "late". Save yourself the time like I wish I had and do not support stores like this that couldnt care less about its customers or reputation. read more

Was just there last weekend for the first time. Very, very nice place. It definitely gives you a feel that you're in a medieval setting, as the name would imply. Located in a very nice area. Gives you a very nice colonial feel as well. Staff are very friendly, and helpful. Excellent service, knowledgeable, and willing to answer any and all questions. Definitely recommend this establishment, and I will most certainly be returning in the future. read more

I can't say enough about the staff at this store. They were so incredibly accommodating. I had ordered some cards and when it turned out they weren't available upon pickup, they went absolutely above and beyond to help me out. Somehow, they got me the cards I needed. They also ran a great tournament and their store is beautiful. Wish I lived closer, but I'll be stopping by whenever I'm in town. read more

I love the Bearded Dragon. I play legacy Magic the Gathering there every Monday. Beautiful location, their bathrooms are clean, they're very professional and organized. I couldn't recommend this game store higher, definitely worth the trip! read more

Store was nice but had some very incompetent staff. Was going to purchase a high end card and was told they had it , only to drive 40 minutes to be told they sold it out from under me. Then was reassured they ordered me another only to find out that they never did. Half the staff said it was coming and was set to be delivered on a Sunday(who delivers on Sunday), while the other half said they had no clue about the card. Not the best ownership or management. Would never recommend. read more

Amazing place, great people. The pricing I found to be in-line for the market, and I'd rather give my money to a small ma-and-pa store than Target (but I do love Target )....Very welcoming and incredibly clean and the themed-decorations are wonderful. read more
