Driving through on a road trip and decided to stop. Got the Holy Guacamole burger and the bread pudding. The burger was supposed to be cooked medium and it was well done. The bun was dry as well. The guac and the bacon were good. The bread pudding wasn't very dense and sauce on top was just whipped cream with dry cinnamon sugar. Great little find by the waterfront! The folks are friendly, service attentive and food was very tasteful. We started with Pig in a Poncho appetizer. Rolled pork in a fried tortilla. Hot, spicy and the meat very tender. From there we had (2) Crispy Steak Tacos and Caesar Salad with Grilled Catfish. Both were incredible. Fish on the salad was fresh, cooked perfectly and was on top of fresh Romain lettuce. The tacos were good portions of meat, lettuce and salsa. Tacos came with tortilla chips. Sooo good. Great place down on the water "under the bridge". Geared toward the younger adult, this place is a classic sports bar style restaurant with a southern twist. They have all kinds of harder to find beer on tap for the connoisseur of all thing barley and hops. I'm not a beer fan but the sandwiches are to die for. Try any of the melts. Hello world, Let me introduce to you a-must eat in Mississippi, specifically Natchez. Location: it is across the Mississippi river, making it a million dollar view. You can park on the side oF the establishment for free and iN front if you get lucky. There is a hill to get there so im sure if you walk you will get a nice workout. Food: i ordered the catfish sandwich and my mouth was watering. The sandwich was very juicy and flavorful the tartar sauce had a little tang to it which made the cat fish taste so much better that tomato and lettuce always add a little extra zing to a sandwich the bun was toasted on the inside with garlic butter I believe. I also ordered the southern melt. The southern melt was very cheesy the bread was very crunchy the sauce is extraordinary and there's something about that first fight when you take it in all the cheese loses out totally recommend it very good. I also ordered the cajun haystack and that was a nice treat before the sandwiches. All of this with the "light and easy beer" while watching the sunset from the window of my high top table. They also have tv if you want to watch a game or something. Taylor was our server and the manager was great. They showed that they are caring about the customer and will make your visit one of a kind. I saw some bad reviews of other yelpers and to be honest they are strongly off about a place like this. The house ketchup was good but a little spicy (although I have a low spice tolerance) and I loved the house tartar sauce it was great with the fries and catfish. Came here on a whim as there was an hour long wait at another restaurant we had planned to go to. I'm glad we ended up here! We were seated quickly even though they were obviously slammed and having to flip tables very quickly. They have 18 beers on tap listed on a big chalkboard wall--luckily I recognized and wanted one, as our server wasn't the most helpful as she was so busy. Ordered an appetizer that never came, so can't comment on that, but food came surprisingly quickly so we didn't have to wait too long. I had the grilled cheese with fries--their fries were awesome, thin and crispy, and the grilled cheese was good, liked the bread and the cheese mix in it, but a little more cheese would have been nice so I didn't have so many bites of just bread. Overall a really good experience and a big menu that has lots of choices for everyone (as a vegetarian that's a big plus for me). We look forward to going back later in the week and trying more food. read more

We've been coming here since moving to Natchez in 2018 and normally on a weekly basis. We like the burgers and drinks. Tonight they would not seat us and claimed the they had 5 others already on the waiting list even though we could see empty tables. They did not offer the bar or outside like they have done before. Two of the hostes gave us some argument that the one table we could see empty was spoken for regardless of the fact it was empty the entire time we waited. We pointed this out. Then another waitres came up and got nasty and smart mouthed with us. Nothing they claimed made sense other than the fact they were more concerned with closing on time, as they claimed. This without doubt is THE worst treatment we have ever encountered in all of the Natchez restaurants we have been consistent patrons And supporters since 2018. We will not be back and will tell our local friends. read more

Hubby and I stopped at The Camp for lunch. We both ordered sandwiches...I ordered the Sumpin's Fishy (catfish) sandwich. Hubby ordered the Buddha Belly (pork belly) sandwich. We both went with the fries...mainly because our server told us that the fries were hand cut and twice fried. I enjoyed my sandwich quite a lot. I love many types fish, but am not usually the biggest catfish fan. The Camp's catfish, however, was really tasty. It was a large filet, lightly coated with a traditional cornmeal breading, and fried to golden brown. It was nicely spiced and was nestled on a soft bun with cheese & tarter sauce. Hubby said that his sandwich was good, but not outstanding in either texture or flavor. He couldn't really pinpoint what was wrong or lacking, just that it didn't hit the mark. We both were looking forward to the homemade fries, but in both of our cases, our fries were limp and non-crispy. Darn. High points for The Camp: We received very good service. Our server took the time to make some recommendations and, even though she clearly had several other tables to take care of, she managed to keep our drink glasses filled and checked back with us several times. The decor is pleasant and interesting. The view of the river from our table was a nice touch. There are quite a few interesting-sounding offerings on the menu. According to our server, most items are homemade and quite delicious. With the exception of the limp fries, I feel that The Camp might usually be a pretty good place to catch a meal in Natchez. read more

Located in front of the Mississippi river, this restaurant is pretty and the menu is rich ! Their salad, burgers ( you can choose the size !) and almost the fries and deserts are delicious !! Found this restaurant while passing through the area. Reviews looked good and we were hungry so we gave it a try. For a Wednesday evening the place was busy. We had to wait about 20 minutes to get a table. The staff kept explaining that they were trying to get us table quickly. Once seated we were greeted by Victoria, our waitress. She was great. She got our drink orders and quickly returned to get our dinner order. I had the Slow Burn burger and the wife had the grilled chicken and broccoli. Both meals came to the table piping hot and were absolutely delicious. Victoria kept checking on us and refilling our drinks. The owner even popped by a couple of times to see how we were enjoying the meal. We highly recommend The Camp. read more

We visited Natchez for our anniversary. We decided to try this restaurant. The only complaint i have is the entry way is really small, so there isn't a good place to wait for a table. We had to wait about 10 mins cause they were really busy. We got a table with a good view of the water though. The food was delicious and our waiter was very friendly. We got the chips and salsa to start with. Then I followed it up with the fried catfish and Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was so creamy and good! The fish was flaky and hot! My husband and I were passing through and ate dinner here. We went for the recommendations by locals, and the fact that Natchez is known for its amazing catfish. Hubby got the catfish dinner and I got the shrimp diner. We were seated quickly, ordered two amazing drinks, and the food was hot, well seasoned, and filling.
