First visit was for Lent and, while I'm not religious, I love seafood. They had a great menu that was fish and seafood based. In addition, the atmosphere is romantic and lovely. Great service, great food, great people. I have to admit it was far more upscale than it looks like from the outside. Inside it's lovely! Maybe power wash some of the brick and stone outside?

This place is owned by a couple who retired and decided to start this dream. It is a low key family style place with a cute bar area for those needing a tv and a nice drink. We ordered the mozzarella sticks and they were a perfect crunch and soft cheese. We had the fish sandwich which is Huge! The pasta Alfredo is so creamy and delicious. The steak hoagie has so much meat on it you can't finish. This place is a fun place for a good guaranteed meal and close to home to meet up with friends.

    Plastic in our crab dip

I wouldn't even give a star..due to what happened.. our family (my Husband, 3 boys under 4 years old, and myself) were eating take out from The Caboose. We got a order of crab dip as our appetizer. It wasn't warm so I needed to be heated up (not a huge deal but what was found later makes it one). We all got partially through the crab dip when I found a piece of PLASTIC in our dip. A piece large enough to be lodged into my children's throat and could cause choking and loss of air. Also, It being heated up the chemicals from the plastic is now in our food. My Husband went in to talk about our contaminated dip. The only solution they offered was to give us a new dip..we had to ask tooth and nail for them to be more careful and give us the $10 back. ($10 isn't why we went there we want them to be aware and care what wrongs are happening there) This is totally unacceptable and wrong. They could of KILLED my child if it was ingested. They did not CARE AT ALL

Awesome service from Lindsey W! Great hoagies. Great beers! Cheers from this Illinois girl!

This was my first trip to The Caboose since it reopened. The remodel looks great! Very clean looking and brighter. Our server, Lindsay W. was awesome. Very friendly and prompt service. Great beer selection. Since I'm only visiting WV, I have to get a hoagie whenever I can, so I got a steak hoagie. The bread was soft on the inside and slightly crusty on the outside. Huge gobs of cheese and filled with steak. VERY good. It came with chips. I think they were just ordinary, out of the bag chips, I thought it'd be homemade chips, but that's okay. Who needs chips when you have a delicious steak hoagie? Next time I travel to Clarksburg, I'll stop by again! Great place for drinks and dinner. Cheers from Central Illinois!

The spaghetti was about average for the local area. The draft beer price was amazingly reasonable. Service was very good.

I was quite hesitant about trying this restaurant after reading some of the negative reviews,…read morehowever, I was looking for a non-fast food type of sit down homestyle meal. I went at 7 PM on a Friday night and the seated right away. The white staff was very friendly and took my drink order as soon as I sat down. They returned quickly with the bread basket and took my order for the homemade lasagna. The entrée came with a small side salad, which had a very tasty and simple house vinaigrette,, the only thing was that the salad was composed of just lettuce and tomato, no onions, no peppers no carrots no olives no cheese . It didn't take very long for the entrée to come out and even though the lasagna was not very thick as it usually is, it was quite tasty. The prices were quite fair with the entrée salad, bread and butter and soft drink coming to a total of $20 even including tax and tip. I would definitely come back here if I was in the area again as the food was very good it was very reasonably priced, and I had no issues with the service, even paying the bill was a breeze with a QR code on the receipt .

They've come a long way, and backslid. We were greeted by a very nice waitress who was also VERY new at the job. No one was shadowing her. I was with a group of four others, and our lone appetizer showed up promptly. Then the wheels fell off the bus. Three out of four of our entrees showed up. No salads. In the meantime, two other employees, one of them I presumed to be the MOD, were busy cleaning up after a large party, and using a sweeper to clean up under the table. Very noisy and disruptive. A broom would have worked just fine. I called over the man I presumed to be the MOD, and pointed out that our table mate had not received her entree, and we still had not gotten salads and bread. That was corrected. Our friend's entree had gummy, overcooked pasta, and a gummy Alfredo sauce. Clearly sat under a heat lamp for a while, and probably took a spin in the microwave. Anything with a red sauce was okay. The appetizer was delicious. Anything without a red sauce was not okay. It was pretty sad. In the past, I have enjoyed delicious meals at Minard's. Our post-Christmas family meals used to be epic. This was anything but. Why am I being so picky? I spent 15 years working front of the house, kitchen, and bar. Something is VERY wrong when the basics are completely ignored, and the customer suffers for it. Something is rotten at Minard's, and I feel that this place may go out of business before any of this is corrected.

I mistakenly thought that I would be going to a Mexican restaurant but, to the contrary, Julio's is a fine dining ($$$) Italian restaurant. The buffet lunch was made-from-scratch and excellent. It featured perfectly fried thick-and-gooey grilled cheese sandwiches; white pasta fagioli soup; chicken pastina soup with ditalini pasta; garlic toast; and spicy marinated peppers (which I put on my sandwich). I've had pasta and fagioli soup many times over the years but none as good as this -- obviously made from a traditional recipe from a real Italian cook! Some also enjoyed mimosas or aperol spritzes. The party host also purchased small bottles of Prosecco wine from the restaurant for us to take home as party favors. The ambiance was very comfortable in the back room for our group of about 30 persons, with three tables of about ten ladies each. The food was served along the counter of the bar area. A waitress took and delivered our drinks. There was a fireplace in the room but it was not lit. I hope to return one day for a special occasion to try their dinner menu.

To make matters worse, I watched as an older couple walked in and were seated and the staff took there drink order right away At that point, it was clear that my presence was being ignored entirely. I understand that restaurants get busy, but this felt like an intentional lack of service. If the staff prioritizes certain guests over others, they should be upfront about it. Needless to say, I took my business elsewhere and won't be returning. I hope management takes customer service seriously because no one should feel invisible when dining out.

The host told us the wait would be about 30 to 40 minutes, but there happened to be two open seats at the bar, so we agreed to sit there instead. The restaurant is not very large inside, so I can understand why there was a wait. We sat at the end of the bar. The seats weren't originally side by side but they moved one chair so we could sit together and it worked out fine. The sign says they're a coal fired pizzeria, and their menu definitely reflects that. They offer a lot more than your standard pepperoni or sausage pizza. There were several artisan options and honestly it was hard to choose. For an appetizer we ordered the Chips & Gorgonzola. My friend asked what Gorgonzola was, and although I knew it was cheese, I completely forgot how similar it is to blue cheese, which she doesn't usually like. This ended up being a pleasant surprise because the Gorgonzola aioli had more of a tart bite than typical blue cheese, and she actually enjoyed it. When it came to the pizza, I knew I wanted something different from the usual topping combinations. I narrowed it down to three: Il Fico (the fig pizza), the Bacon, Grape & Gorgonzola. I asked the bartender what he recommended, and he suggested the Bacon, Grape & Gorgonzola. I mentioned I was torn between that and the fig pizza. He hadn't tried the fig one, so he couldn't compare, but he said he really liked the bacon and grape. I didn't even think about the fact that I'd already had Gorgonzola in my appetizer, but I went with it anyway. I have to say, it was an interesting combination in a good way. The Gorgonzola balanced out the sweetness of the grapes, and the pizza was cooked well with good flavor. It's probably not something I'd order every visit, but I'm glad I tried it once. My friend ordered the chicken parmesan and seemed happy with hers too. For dessert, we ordered the petit fours sampler. They came as little cakes set on cupcake wrappers with a raspberry glaze drizzled across the plate. Beautiful presentation. The cakes were soft and moist but incredibly sweet. We ended up dragging them through the raspberry glaze to add some tartness, which helped a lot. Without the glaze, I think they would have been too sweet to finish. Overall, we had a really good experience. The bartender was friendly, attentive, and genuinely tried to make sure we enjoyed our meal. I would definitely stop by again the next time I'm in town.

I really enjoyed my steak pasta; my wife enjoyed her soup, and the kids ate their chicken tenders (for what that's worth).
