Noel and I stopped for a lunch from Morgantown on the way home. This was her first visit here. We were greeted and seated immediately. I went with Iced tea unsweetened with lemon and lime and she had a Mr Pibb. I chose my favorite, Meatballs with Marinara Sauce with Fresh Ricotta & Basil along with French Onion Soup. Noel went with the Homemade Chicken Alfredo and we shared delicious Garlic Bread Sticks and she had a salad with Bleu Cheese Dressing Food and Service was great!

The parking lot was hard to enter and exit but the building and decor were cute. Upon entering and sitting in the waiting area we were hit with the smell of piss. Which was super not great right before a meal. Unsure if the entrance is near the bathrooms or if there was a accident but luckily our table was far from the entrance and the smell didn't quiet reach. The piss smell was foreboding but the staff was lively and friendly and quickly took our minds off it and back to our meal. We were quick to notice that my wife was the only POC in the whole restaurant which did end in some stares from other patrons but they minded their business soon enough. The food was great for the price! A bit mild and bland for a sit down joint but for 55$ for two in 2024 it was affordable. Overall, nothing to write home about but a cute affordable local spot for a date.

Very nicely decorated Italian restaurant. Great menu. I recommend Cesar salad table side! It was delicious!. We shared the Halibut. I'm finished with the delicious peanut butter pie!

I haven't had a good muffuletta since Gumbo's in Fayetteville closed down. I adore olives. It seems appropriate for a girl who grew up on Mount Olive. I know most people go to Oliverio's in Bridgeport and Morgantown for the pasta, however I don't see muffuletta on many local menus. So, I had to grab the opportunity while I could. This muffuletta was delicious. If you aren't familiar, what sets muffuletta apart from other sandwiches is the olive spread (some say paste, others say dressing, etc). Whatever you wish to call it, I've tasted some pretty bad ones where there's too much olive and not enough meat - basically an olive explosion that overpowers everything else. Oliverio's had the perfect ratio - down to a science. I also had the stuffed banana pepper appetizer. Oh my goodness! Delicious with a capital "D". They were crammed full of Italian sausage and smothered in mozzarella. The app was $13. The sandwich, which is served with fries, was $14. So, it wasn't priced to make your jaw drop. I give them two thumbs up and a stuffed belly, lol. I haven't been here in years!

I would consider myself a Foodie :) But you do not have to be a foodie to wake up from a dream about a meal you'd had where nothing you order somewhere else or attempt to make on your own can satisfy the craving.. right?! The picture with the linguine, smothered in a rich, delicate spicy cream sauce, with pieces of roasted garlic, bell peppers, onions and sausage pieces is one for the books!! Entrees are severed with a garden salad and breadsticks. Okay the breadsticks.. lots of places have bread especially Italian restaurants. These breadsticks are about twelve inches long and about an inch thick. Light and fluffy, Garlic Butter basted with a sprinkle of Parmesan, steaming hot with that Diablo sauce, I'm hungry all over again thinking about it.. Provided at the table, a jar of Parmesan cheese and a jar of hot oil. Mixed together with the bread.... After I came to, I realized I missed the entire conversation at the table. Service is always impeccable, the atmosphere indeed, is like a little Italy, right in the heart of Bridgeport. This little restaurant is ,in my opinion, a staple and one that you make a detour when passing through!

Food was good. Seemed to be all homemade. More on the pricey side, especially for lunch. Our family of 5, including 2 kids was $100 for lunch. The place had a wholesome family atmosphere. The waitress was on top of it all.

I'm sad that we are only in town one night, because I would have surely eaten here again tomorrow. This place was recommended by the front desk at our hotel and they did not disappoint. I would highly recommend making a reservation if at all possible. The restaurant was a little on the dark side, but it added to the experience. Our waitress Gracie was super sweet and very attentive to anything we needed. Unfortunately we were already through eating our appetizers, before we were told the restaurant was known for the ANGEL HAIR CRAB BALLS, which several people around us had ordered. We started our meal with the BAKED ONION SOUP. This is one of the best French Onions soups I have ever had. The Swiss cheese was melted perfectly on top, and the beef broth in this was perfectly seasoned. It wasn't overbearing in salt or onions flavor. The only bad part, is I wish they had a bigger size options. We ordered a bowl and it wasn't enough for us to get our fill. We also ordered the small CAPRESE SALAD. This once again is one of the best Caprese I have ever had; I could have drank the balsamic it was so good. It had shaved Reggiano cheese which I feel elevated this salad to a new level. For dinner we split the eggplant parmigiana (with the 2 appetizers, this was big enough to share with no issues). This was definitely one of the best veal parmigiana I have had, but honestly it was the meat marinara sauce that made it extraordinary. This was the best Italian gravy I have ever tasted; once again I could have drank this sauce. It was a mild flavored sauce and the meat was ground up perfectly. It was t loaded down with heavy spices, so the tomato flavor was really able to shine. The eggplant was very good, but did have a few burnt spot from the frying. It was tender enough that you could use a butter knife to cut. We did have to ask for some additional marinara because the meat sucked up all the sauce. The meatless marinara our waitress brought us was just as good as the meat gravy. The angel hair pasta was cooked perfectly. We really wanted to try a dessert, but were too full to eat it, so we got it to go. We weren't back at our hotel more than 10 minutes before I caved an opened it up. We order the Chambord Cheesecake. The first bite I was intensely trying to pick apart all the flavors, but want able to, so I quickly took another bite. And then another, and another. My husband then asked if I was going to leave any for him lol. I think the Chambord tasted very rich, sweet, and had an intense berry flavor. I didn't care for the icing swirl on top, because it was way too sweet with the already sweet drizzle. The cheesecake it's self was very creamy and paired perfectly with the sauce and whipped cream.

    Amazing breadsticks!

I was quite hesitant about trying this restaurant after reading some of the negative reviews,…read morehowever, I was looking for a non-fast food type of sit down homestyle meal. I went at 7 PM on a Friday night and the seated right away. The white staff was very friendly and took my drink order as soon as I sat down. They returned quickly with the bread basket and took my order for the homemade lasagna. The entrée came with a small side salad, which had a very tasty and simple house vinaigrette,, the only thing was that the salad was composed of just lettuce and tomato, no onions, no peppers no carrots no olives no cheese . It didn't take very long for the entrée to come out and even though the lasagna was not very thick as it usually is, it was quite tasty. The prices were quite fair with the entrée salad, bread and butter and soft drink coming to a total of $20 even including tax and tip. I would definitely come back here if I was in the area again as the food was very good it was very reasonably priced, and I had no issues with the service, even paying the bill was a breeze with a QR code on the receipt .

They've come a long way, and backslid. We were greeted by a very nice waitress who was also VERY new at the job. No one was shadowing her. I was with a group of four others, and our lone appetizer showed up promptly. Then the wheels fell off the bus. Three out of four of our entrees showed up. No salads. In the meantime, two other employees, one of them I presumed to be the MOD, were busy cleaning up after a large party, and using a sweeper to clean up under the table. Very noisy and disruptive. A broom would have worked just fine. I called over the man I presumed to be the MOD, and pointed out that our table mate had not received her entree, and we still had not gotten salads and bread. That was corrected. Our friend's entree had gummy, overcooked pasta, and a gummy Alfredo sauce. Clearly sat under a heat lamp for a while, and probably took a spin in the microwave. Anything with a red sauce was okay. The appetizer was delicious. Anything without a red sauce was not okay. It was pretty sad. In the past, I have enjoyed delicious meals at Minard's. Our post-Christmas family meals used to be epic. This was anything but. Why am I being so picky? I spent 15 years working front of the house, kitchen, and bar. Something is VERY wrong when the basics are completely ignored, and the customer suffers for it. Something is rotten at Minard's, and I feel that this place may go out of business before any of this is corrected.

I mistakenly thought that I would be going to a Mexican restaurant but, to the contrary, Julio's is a fine dining ($$$) Italian restaurant. The buffet lunch was made-from-scratch and excellent. It featured perfectly fried thick-and-gooey grilled cheese sandwiches; white pasta fagioli soup; chicken pastina soup with ditalini pasta; garlic toast; and spicy marinated peppers (which I put on my sandwich). I've had pasta and fagioli soup many times over the years but none as good as this -- obviously made from a traditional recipe from a real Italian cook! Some also enjoyed mimosas or aperol spritzes. The party host also purchased small bottles of Prosecco wine from the restaurant for us to take home as party favors. The ambiance was very comfortable in the back room for our group of about 30 persons, with three tables of about ten ladies each. The food was served along the counter of the bar area. A waitress took and delivered our drinks. There was a fireplace in the room but it was not lit. I hope to return one day for a special occasion to try their dinner menu.

I understand that restaurants get busy, but this felt like an intentional lack of service. If the staff prioritizes certain guests over others, they should be upfront about it.
