Vinyl night is always great. Service is tops. The burgers with a non working so well hood though are killing me. Greasy, smoky atmosphere in my favorite bar really bums me out. Bring back the Mex food!

I didn't take a pic of the food- but I wish I would have!

Visiting Bellingham from Colorado and stumbled into the Cabin while we were wandering around on a Thursday eve. What a Delight! We snagged seats at the bar and quickly were impressed by this "one man show". The bartender was working solo behind the bar and things were moving and shaking. Despite there being a line of people waiting to order drinks at the "order here" sign... he balanced the line with the patrons at the bar well. We ordered two Lush IPAs- had never had Lush on tap before and it did not disappoint. Walking in we were greeted with the smell of greasy burgers (like your favorite diner) so ordered a Cabin Burger and fries. You don't want to miss out on their food. This burger was everything we imagined- smash burger cooked perfectly- so juicy with caramelized onions, cheese and bacon. Holy YUM. The fries were just as delicious. If we lived in Bellingham we'd be regulars at this place. Props to Zach running the grill and Pascal behind the bar. These two were working their magic and keeping the crowds happy. We absolutely loved this place and next time we are in Washington, we will definitely be making the trek to stop by the Cabin. Don't miss this gem of a bar!

The burgers! The drinks! The service! Often referred to as one of if not the best burger in Bellingham. I concur. Even AFTER trying one from down the road. The "smash" of the Cabin's burger does it for me. Just delicious!

I ordered a buttery nipple and you held a sign to my face that said "no stupid drinks". I thought he was joking, so I laughed. No talking no communication, He WALKED AWAY and proceeded to help someone else. This was my first time and I'm never going back.

Pretty cozy place to drop him looking for a snack and I found tacos!

Just what I needed. I was Hangry after dinner plans were messed up because the place I was going wasn't open when the website said it was so I stumbled around downtown trying to find a good spot and landed at the cabin. I just had an excellent time ago small but with meat and flavor I would highly recommend a trip here for a casual hang out some tacos inland beer. Really comfortable field friendly people and the bartender was super nice!

I don't take stars lightly, 5 for me equates truly to the best of the best, and The Cabin is that for me. Now my personality is one of various degrees of specific to why I frequent different bars. First off, ambiance. I like dive bars. I like Wisconsin bars, the ones you walk into and the wood paneling is a blatant reminder of the back-woods environment familiar to those from small towns or rural areas. I'm not a hunter, but I'm okay with deer antlers and faux fur decor. The Cabin encompasses this feeling, you walk into a bar and the bartenders aren't there to make small talk or smile, they are there to ensure you get your cold Hamm's (on tap!) or margarita special ($7 on Thursdays). The jukebox holds limited songs, and yes, there are a few songs the bartenders request you consider not playing because they have been played on repeat. But why would you? The music is usually on point and eclectic. Fancy a night with some DJ spinning retro vinyl? They have that too. Now let's talk about Taco Thursday. No it's not Tuesday, you didn't read that wrong. On Thursdays The Cabin boasts their "boot margaritas" at $7. Boots are not the gigantic version from our college years, instead a classy hand held version. As of earlier this year, margaritas are made with the authentic orange liqueur brought from Mexico, and some bottom shelf (but not terrible) tequila. A splash of simple and lime finishes off the beast. Pair that up with tacos from Taqueria Los Santos, the most authentic street tacos in likely a 65 mile radius... and you're set for good vibes and a full stomach. I come here a lot... so 5 stars for being my favorite bar in Bellingham.

Great drinks, great ambiance. Food is hit and miss, which prevents me giving them 5 stars. But heh, it is a bar, right?

The decor was fun, we took up the tables in the space themed room for a private party feel. There main room had wooden tables that had a vintage school vibe- great for smaller groups or couples. There's plenty of street parking but the stairs leading up to The Orion does make it less accessible to some folks. The night I came here, I only took shots that the best man of the wedding party bought for everyone - so not much to review there. The prices of their cocktails were a few dollars off from being cheap at $7-9. I did have a sip of the cucumber cocktail and the cucumber taste was very strong- I liked it! I was really surprised by the food options here! Without the food at The Orion, who knows what my hangover after a weekend of wedding drinking would've been?! They have various hot dogs, including vegan options! I got the trash dog and it is every drunk person's dream dog. They also had toppings to customize your dog- relish, mustards (all different types!), onions, ketchup, etc. The ratio of hotdog to bun was bread heavy and they had a water jug right next to the front door- greats points for the Orion on balancing out the negative affects of alcohol. The night we came in was a Sunday and the bartender was a one man show. He checked IDs, made food and drinks! Service was a little slow because of that, but overall a great experience at The Orion!

The beer selection was stellar and my group tried the german lager and the Scotch ale with applause. Food: I ordered a pretzel and it was HUGE. Service: the staff was outstanding. Friendly, smiling, ready to serve up samples without an attitude and knowledgeable about their product. Ambiance: loved it. There was some college football on which was watch-able but not too distracting and the variety of high-tops, couches, and regular tables was a nice mix. We opted for the couch-chair combo and they were comfy and not worn out.

They have a nice selection of taps (including more than just beer), some vintage video games, and offer live music regularly. On our most recent visit, we found one of our fave local musicians, Michael Dayvid, playing and managed to snag a cozy seat in the front row. We sipped our pints (I got an amber, Dude got an IPA) and enjoyed the show - right after a rousing game of Pac Man, of course. This is large space, so there's seating in the back if you don't want to be front row for the music. The service is friendly, too. Parking can be a little challenging, as it's only street parking, but it's not too bad. In a town that has a lot of breweries, but could use a few more cozy taphouses, Corner Taphouse fills a niche (especially in the Fairhaven area). I hope they continue to thrive!

Wonderful food and drinks. I started with oyster shooters (Willapa Bay) along with a Lion's Tail cocktail. Sierra said the bourbon and lime complement each other. I wouldn't have thought so and thought it a bit of an odd choice. But she was right and I was wrong: it was fabulous. One of the most delicious drinks I've ever had, for my tastes. She gave me several recommendations for dinner. I picked the Jalapeño Chicken. It was luscious and flavorful, but the best part of it was my choice of Balsamic Brussels sprouts as my side--oh my! These were so delicious I ordered two more batches to have at home. Lovely espresso martini to end it all.

I was happy to see steamed clams on the menu. I grew up eating fresh steamed seafood for dinner, so battered fried seafood that is more common here hasn't really grown on me yet. To me fried seafood is a fancy version of chicken nuggets. I loved the clams, so light but bland. The sauce is full of umami flavor, drizzled with some fresh lemon juice, it was like a summery beachy afternoon in a bowl. I could easily dip a loaf of toast with it if I had one. The clams were fresh and meaty, nothing to complain about with this dish. My partner had the grilled cheese, and he said it was mid. He's vegetarian, and I don't like cheese, so I didn't bother to try any of his meal to do my own fact check. The staff were friendly too. Overall, this is a nice place to grab lunch when visiting Bellingham.
