I love walking around the place! The milkshake shop is phenomenal! Love the specialty flavors they have. The Smores and the Strawberry Shortcake milkshakes were both absolutely delicious! Definitely a must visit if you're in the area!

There are pork themed shirts of all sizes available for sale. Dip mixes sauces coffee and more! You can also order milkshakes which were popular even on a cold December day. I found unique gifts made in North Carolina for family out of state. In my quest to buy local products, I'm glad I stopped at this quaint general store, really more a pig/pork market. Got to be NC! Shout out to all the hog farmers. This is a great way to show we support you.

We decided to look around Carlie C's while our jeep was being repaired nearby. We hadn't been here…read morebefore, but we will definitely be back for regular grocery shopping! The store has a fabulous bakery, the best meat market I've seen so far in Goldsboro, and an awesome selection of groceries. Prices are comparable to Wal-Mart and Food Lion, and, on several items, better. We went in just to look around and kill time, but wound up filling a cart. My only complaint is the self-checkout. It doesn't have the "price shooter gun" that most other stores have, and this required us to lift our heavy cases of soda and run them across the scanner. That wasn't fun because I have spinal injuries. Also, the machine kept telling us to place these items in the bagging area, where there wasn't enough room for them, instead of back in our cart. Let's hope the store updates its self-checkout technology in the future! This won't stop us from shopping at Carlie's, but we'll be sure to use the regular checkout lanes next time, and advise you to do the same if you have very large, heavy items like bags of dog food or cases of soda. We were impressed by the selection of products, the quality of the bakery and meat market, the prices and the clean store. We'll be regular customers from now on.

I picked up a VIC card at Customer Service and only had to wait a couple minutes behind another customer. Registration was fast and painless - I was prepared to answer a slew of tedious questions, but all the associate needed was the basic info off my driver's license. First stop was the produce dept, which has an amazing variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. My guinea pigs thank you for the very large, fresh and crispy heads of Red Leaf and Romaine Lettuce! The deli area has a wonderful selection of meats, sauces and dressings, and especially cheeses! I love it like a rat and will definitely return for more! I didn't buy anything in the bakery but was sorely tempted by the coconut cakes. (Next time for sure!) There were delicious cakes, bagels, doughnuts and fresh breads on display. The meat market is excellent and has an impressive inventory of seafood! Now I know where to come for fish and seafood. The deviled crabs (which weren't on our list, but were irresistable) were yummy. The dairy department is one of the best I've seen in Wayne County, with a wide selection of milks, dips, cheeses, yogurts, eggs and such. Whatever you need, they probably have. Same for the frozen foods. The grocery aisles were easy to access, which is great if, like me, you sometimes (or always) use a wheelchair. Again, the variety of choices is excellent. Prices were a bit higher on some items than than Wal-Mart or Food Lion, but the atmosphere is very pleasant and the store is clean and has well-marked aisles. Checkout was wait-free and our checker was a very nice young lady who got us rung up and sacked up quickly. We really liked this store and we will definitely be back for more.
