I should note that atleast half the menu was unavailable. I am assuming do to a slump in business. The shrimp are cleaned good and both the shrimp and fish are cooked perfectly. I picked up a VIC card at Customer Service and only had to wait a couple minutes behind another customer. Registration was fast and painless - I was prepared to answer a slew of tedious questions, but all the associate needed was the basic info off my driver's license. First stop was the produce dept, which has an amazing variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. My guinea pigs thank you for the very large, fresh and crispy heads of Red Leaf and Romaine Lettuce! The deli area has a wonderful selection of meats, sauces and dressings, and especially cheeses! I love it like a rat and will definitely return for more! I didn't buy anything in the bakery but was sorely tempted by the coconut cakes. (Next time for sure!) There were delicious cakes, bagels, doughnuts and fresh breads on display. The meat market is excellent and has an impressive inventory of seafood! Now I know where to come for fish and seafood. The deviled crabs (which weren't on our list, but were irresistable) were yummy. The dairy department is one of the best I've seen in Wayne County, with a wide selection of milks, dips, cheeses, yogurts, eggs and such. Whatever you need, they probably have. Same for the frozen foods. The grocery aisles were easy to access, which is great if, like me, you sometimes (or always) use a wheelchair. Again, the variety of choices is excellent. Prices were a bit higher on some items than than Wal-Mart or Food Lion, but the atmosphere is very pleasant and the store is clean and has well-marked aisles. Checkout was wait-free and our checker was a very nice young lady who got us rung up and sacked up quickly. We really liked this store and we will definitely be back for more.

By far this one misses the mark completely. My siblings and I took my 87yo mother there for Mother's Day. I was surprised how quickly we were seated considering the holiday. That was one of the few things that was positive. Right off the bat, the cashiers were rude and bickering between themselves. They ran out of silverware and handed us wrapped plastic forks at the door. In retrospect, that is also a positive thing. They could not keep up with demand, the popular items were often empty each time we went to look. The servers, though polite, had no sense of urgency and they looked kind of lost. When we went to the buffet line, plastic plates were available one time, then styrofoam plates were offered the next time. The clientele were loud and kids ran from table to table. One of them bumping into my leg. Once our server felt like we were finished, we never saw her again. Finally, my mother spent the rest of the night complaining of stomach pains and vomiting. *I'm am not claiming that their food made her sick but the timing of her illness and the lack of standards this place has makes it pros single I could go on but you get the idea. There are soooo many better places. Pick anyone but this one.
