I'm from out of state but I have deep roots in the area. I have been traveling to eastern Carolina all my life and have tried almost all of the many BBQ Buffets. By far this one misses the mark completely.
My siblings and I took my 87yo mother there for Mother's Day. I was surprised how quickly we were seated considering the holiday. That was one of the few things that was positive.
Right off the bat, the cashiers were rude and bickering between themselves. They ran out of silverware and handed us wrapped plastic forks at the door. In retrospect, that is also a positive thing. They could not keep up with demand, the popular items were often empty each time we went to look. The servers, though polite, had no sense of urgency and they looked kind of lost. When we went to the buffet line, plastic plates were available one time, then styrofoam plates were offered the next time. The clientele were loud and kids ran from table to table. One of them bumping into my leg. Once our server felt like we were finished, we never saw her again.
Finally, my mother spent the rest of the night complaining of stomach pains and vomiting. *I'm am not claiming that their food made her sick but the timing of her illness and the lack of standards this place has makes it pros single
I could go on but you get the idea. There are soooo many better places. Pick anyone but this one. read more
