This posting is for the food. I stopped by The Bunker in North Greenbush recently to catch Sunday football and grab some food. I took a seat up at the bar where the TVs were showing two NFL games simultaneously. The Bunker is a golf themed bar and restaurant which offers indoor golf simulators and a restaurant & bar with a casual upscale atmosphere. They also have locations in Clifton Park and Guilderland. The place has a full bar including 8 beers on tap, seating up at the bar with two flatscreen TVs, booths, long tables, fireplace, and outside seating on the back deck. The food menu offers pub fare including burgers, sandwiches, appetizers, salads, and desserts. The prices are moderate here. I ordered the Clubhouse Burger ($15 plus tax), which had a thick grilled Angus beef, leaf lettuce, tomato, red onion on a toasted buttered bun and served with golden sliced fries, very salty though. The burger was juicy and well made, but it did not have cheese as described on menu. After I finished, I got the check which was $16.20 with tax and before tip. Overall, this is a good place to stop for pub food and drinks in addition to the indoor golf. The service on my visit was decent. I got my food in good time and they left me alone checking up once while I ate my food watching the game.

Fun atmosphere but not the greatest food. Had the cheeseburger sliders, bland and over cooked. Came with fries which were pretty good but nothing special. Pizza was not good at all!!! Little Caesar's is better than this!!! Do not come here for the food! The golf on the other hand, lots of fun! Great time and high quality entertainment!!

My boyfriend liked several of their beers so he opted for a flight of four - their Brown Ale, Red Ale, Extra Special Bitter and Ordinary Bitter. I went with a glass of carbonated Sangria from a Niskayuna-based winery, Capoccia Wines. I had no idea Niskayuna even had a winery! He really liked their beers and I loved the Sangria - it was so refreshing and fruity. It's super spacious with a bar area and adjoining room with more tables and corn hole. They had signage for a corn hole league that just ended. They also have an attached store with equipment for home brewing. Highly recommend stopping through! We loved chatting with Roger about the brewery and about his travels too.

The tasting room is in the larger portion of a strip mall on Route 4. The seating at the bar is very cozy, and on your left you have a larger, very well maintained, area with tables and the rest room. The beer is good here, and so is the art of conversation, which, to me, is equally important at a brewery. They let us sample a few items before settling in on our chosen pours. I loved the eclectic setting, and for me you can't go wrong with 60s and 70s music (yeah, I was around for all of it).

The prices are reasonable and the service is amazing!! I went recently and had Rachel and Nash taking care of me and they were amazing. Rachel is so bubbly and radiates happiness! Their drink menu is pretty big, they are an "open" bar but the liquor they use is made locally so they only use one brand so in that way you are limited BUT the drinks are still delicious. I had the Lady's Limoncello which is featured in the little boomerang I posted. They do give you complementary trail mix (not sure what to call it - can also be seen in the background on the video) and I think that's amazing. They don't have a food menu so it's nice to have a little snack while you drink. I came from out of state and I would love to go back. Loved the experience and the staff! Also Rachel makes an amazing pina colada shot!!! It was my friend's birthday and she made us a couple of shots and they were so yummy!!

The vision, detail, and…read morecare behind the property are undeniable, and we truly arrived excited to experience it with our family. That is what made the attitude surrounding the issue with our stay so unexpected and honestly disappointing. We reached out and specifically asked to upgrade our accommodations to a larger space that could sleep our family of 4. We were assured the wellness hut would work, which is why it was so upsetting to arrive and realize there was simply not enough room for 2 adults and 2 preteens to sleep comfortably. It was rainy, dark, and already close to 11:00 PM when we arrived, which made the situation even more stressful. Within just a few minutes of arriving and realizing the hut could not properly accommodate our family, we made the difficult decision to leave rather than force an uncomfortable overnight situation. What made the experience worse was the owner's response when we tried to discuss it. Instead of acknowledging that there may have been a misunderstanding, he repeatedly insisted that his instructions, photos, and accommodation descriptions were "perfect,", his staff did us a favor to accommodate our family in this space, and continued placing the blame entirely on us. Hospitality is not about proving that every description is flawless -- it is about listening when a guest's real experience does not match what they reasonably expected. I called with every intention of trying to make the stay work, maybe get another small bed put in the room, especially given the late hour and difficult weather, not to create conflict. The defensive and dismissive tone we were met with was incredibly surprising. The property itself is undeniably beautiful, which makes the lack of empathy and flexibility around a genuine issue all the more disappointing.

The Roosevelt Room in Troy was a great experience from start to finish. I was honestly expecting a standalone building, but it is tucked into a strip mall near HVCC. That said, parking was easy and stress free, which is always a plus. This was our first visit as a party of four, and the service was superb. The attention to detail really stood out and was noticed immediately. Our waitress checked in at the right times, kept drinks filled, and made sure everything came out exactly as expected. Meals are made to order, so substitutions were no issue at all, and it was nice to see gluten free options available. When you walk in, you pass through a curtain and are immediately greeted by a coat attendant who takes your coats, which instantly gives the place an upscale feel. The ambiance is well done, with soft lighting and nice background music. It is on the smaller side and dimly lit, but that is clearly intentional. The menus actually light up, which was a unique and thoughtful touch that fits the atmosphere perfectly. We had reservations and were seated right away. It did not seem necessary on this particular evening, but I would definitely recommend them on a weekend given the size of the space. The food itself was excellent. Everything we ordered was very tasty, and the presentation across the board was impressive. Desserts are prepared by a pastry chef and were just as good as the rest of the meal. It is definitely on the pricey side, but that is to be expected for the level of service and atmosphere. This feels like a special occasion type of place, and in that context, it is worth every penny. We really enjoyed our night and would absolutely come back. There was also a sign mentioning live jazz on Fridays, which sounds like a great added touch. Overall, a very strong 5 stars.

This is a lost service in the restaurant industry, but a lovely touch. We were seated in, what can only be described as, a room with phenomenal atmosphere. Low light, but you could see, comfortable seating, amazing art on the walls, and a perfect spot for a romantic dinner. The service was top notch. We were offered water immediately. They have a cocktail menu that included historical cocktails dating back to the 19th Century until present day. The cocktails were perfect. We had pre-ordered a half bottle of champagne. It was very good. We also ordered caviar service. It is 1 ounce with sour cream, egg whites, yolks, and onions. Fresh made Bellinis that were still warm. We enjoyed it immensely. It was a lovely compliment to the champagne. For an appetizer we enjoyed the escargot. We have had escargot in many places, rarely, if ever, was it as good at this was. The garlic butter was on point, the crusty bread was a great addition to the dish. It was served with tiny leaves of Swiss chard. We cannot recommend this enough. We ordered a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon from their extensive wine list, Stag's Leap. This wine paired perfectly with the filet mignon bordelaise, and the veal chop with cherry peppers. We had a visit with the chef, he was a wonderful representative of this amazing restaurant. We cannot recommend this place enough. It's a little spendy, but worth every penny. Service, 5 stars! Atmosphere, 5 stars! Food, better than 5 stars! We will definitely be back.
