I ordered the lobster tail and it made me so happy…read more I usually make lobster rolls at home, but this one had a different feel, also the buns are thicker which made it more enjoyable. The bar area is on the ground level with many TVs to catch your favourite Toronto teams playing while the upper level is a dining area. Like all other Keg locations, the menu features shareable appetizers, steaks, other mains, and desserts. They also have a wine and cocktail list as well. The Keg also has seasonal specials as well. I've been to The Keg numerous times especially at this location. My go to order is the prime rib with grilled vegetables and a glass of syrah wine. The caesar salad and escargot are good shareable appetizers as well. Recently, I tried the sticky toffee pudding dessert as part of their special feature menu and that was delicious! The warm bread and cheese/herb butter at the beginning of the meal is always a delight as well. Service wise, the staff are always friendly, attentive, and professional. I've never had an issue with service at this location. Overall, a great place for steaks - whether it is a date night, celebrating a special occasion, or treating yourself to a solo meal, you know what quality you are getting at The Keg.

The restaurant is freezing so opted to sit outside in the shaded patio. The service is SUPER slow and the server didn't seem to be all together. She spilled water on a customer and never came back to our table until much later. She originally came to our table every minute which was too much!! The food was average your typical Canadian food. The fish and chips was the best tasting dish and their fries. The kids chicken tenders with fries wasn't crispy. My child didn't really enjoy it! We also got the shrimp tacos and deluxe burger. The shrimp didn't have much flavour. This restaurant overall need to be renovated and a deep scrub down because it looks dirty and really dark. There was no apology for the slow service and the sever didn't look happy to be there. She was the only server working with about 23 customers. The restaurant is very short staffed. There was a server who worked downstairs that I noticed he kept dropping things here and there! The entire restaurant was unorganized. Very disappointing first experience!

The restaurant is located inside the Empress Walk Mall and they do offer free parking for 2 hours so make sure you validate your parking ticket before leaving. The inside of the restaurant was modernly decorated and seating was very spacious and comfortable. The washrooms were really clean as well and service was exceptional. The waiter came and took away empty plates, replenished water and replaced our grill plates in a timely manner. We ordered 2 Combo A's and 1 Combo B which was $15.99 and $19.99 respectively. Each combo comes with 1 appetizer, seasonal veggies, salad, rice, kimchi, lettuce, miso soup, dessert and the different types of meats that comes with each combo. Everything tasted quite delicious and honestly this was a ton of food for the price. They might've made a mistake and gave us 2 portions of their beef since we ordered 2 Chicken Combo's and 1 Beef combo but we somehow ended up with more beef than chicken. If I do had to nitpick, I would say that the pork belly and their beef slices were really thin but at this price, that is to be expected. Unfortunately for dessert, they didn't have soft serve so I opted for their creme brulee which was so soft, creamy and delicious. I just wished it was a bit bigger. I tried my coworker's mango sago and it was creamy with just the right level of sweetness and wasn't too tart. I would highly recommend this place for their lunch combos but it's only available between 12pm-4pm on weekdays. These combos are great options for people that don't necessarily want to do their AYCE menu but still want some Japanese BBQ. I'll definitely come back and maybe try their lunch or dinner AYCE. Overall though, it was a fantastic lunch and all 3 of us were really full.

When we got there at 6 pm, restaurant was 40% full and by the time we left around 8:15, restaurant was 80% full? I mean there were a lot of tables but even then, we couldn't find a server to wave down. We finished our meal and waited 30-40 minutes before we saw our server and were able to get takeout boxes for two plates of food. Then she disappeared again and then we mentioned on booking and when we sat down that it was a birthday but they didn't do anything for us or even offered a dessert menu. We didn't even ask for it when after another ten mins someone else came by and asked if we wanted the bill. We just wanted to leave at that point. Food was alright, standard fare but chicken tenders could use more flavouring even though it was nice and crisp but inside meat lacked flavour. Ceviche was alright but a bit too fishy and more salty than citrusy which we prefer. One of the steaks was dry and seemed overcooked as well. No one came to check up on us so we couldn't even tell them about it. Wishes we had spent the $300 elsewhere.

You old timers know what I'm talking about, the kind of food that gives you the "itis" (look it up in an urban dictionary) and puts you in a food coma. Well! Butcher's Son knows how to put together a juicy, medium rare burger. Their special today was a brisket burger with double smoked bacon, a fried tomato and BBQ aoili. I loved the patty but what stood out for me was the delicious bacon: thick cut, smoky, crispy but not hard with a perfect fat to meat ratio. I just thought they were only a butcher's shop but they offer so much more. They have home made soups and chilis, single serve pot pies, lasagna, mini pizzas. There are marinated individual chicken breasts and marinated whole chickens, also Salem's Lott Scary Hot Sauces for sale and a small selection of goodies from Leah's bakery. I was eyeing their gorgeously marbled steaks; I can't wait to come back to try it in their sandwiches! Friendly and helpful staff.

There's a few small tables and chairs, with a bathroom on the downstairs level. Our server was very patient and kind with us. She greeted us as soon as we walked in, provided us menus, and told us to call her over once we're ready. We ordered the steak and grilled chicken sandwich, along with fries on the side. The grilled chicken sandwich was filled with sauce, red onions, grilled onions, cheese, grilled chicken and mushrooms. As for the steak sandwich, it had steak, bacon bits, and sauce. In my opinion, the sauce and cheese was an overload which drowned out the flavour of the food. I couldn't quite taste the meat very well. It was a decent, packed sandwich, I would just recommend asking for little sauce and less cheese, so the other flavours stand out. The fries were crispy on the outside, and the sauce they came with was nice and creamy. I'd recommend splitting the sandwich between 2-3 people. I couldn't finish one on my own because of the large portion, so I decided to take the rest home. This would be a great spot if you're looking for large, filling meals, or leftovers that'll carry on for the next few days.
