Instead, I waited over an hour with no update. When I finally called the restaurant to check on the order, I was casually told that it had been cancelled because they ran out of food. The problem is that no one bothered to notify me. No message in the app, no call -- nothing. I was simply left waiting for over an hour for an order they apparently already knew they couldn't fulfill. What made it worse was the attitude on the phone. The person I spoke with was rude and dismissive, with no apology or attempt to make the situation right. Now I'm told the refund could take up to 10 business days to return to my credit card. Running out of food happens. Ignoring a $200+ order for over an hour on a Friday night and then being rude to the customer is unacceptable. Plenty of better BBQ options in the city -- I won't be ordering from here again.

Obviously I went in to buy a steak. They had a handful of options and cuts. Each steak is individually shrink wrapped. They make their own ground chuck and sausages. About half the store is fresh meat of various cuts and preparations and the other half is freezers of frozen options. In the freezer section you can get the basics like steaks and ground beef but they have some swankier options as well. There are some meat pies, bison steaks and burgers, and more. The lady that was helping me said I definitely deserved a steak after being out for a bike ride. When I told her I was only half way and had to go all the way downtown she offered some help to keep my steak cool during my ride. They wrapped the meat in a piece of foam and then filled a small bag with ice and stuck the steak in there. Sure enough it worked like a charm as the ice was only about half melted by the time I got home. If these guys were located close to somewhere I normally traveled I would come here all the time.

Ten taps for draught, which look like they will likely be rotating, and included some ordinary lagers and also more crafty IPAs when I visited. There is a selection of options on the menu besides beef and pork, including a variety of seafood. I got the brisket and was rather unpleasantly surprised to see it come as only 3 small slices with a few ramekins of sauce, given that it was $19, which seems mighty pricey to me. It was delicious if not a little on the fatty side. The sauces were just ok - one so spicy you can't taste anything, and the chimichurri was pretty oily. Can't fully judge as it just opened, but I hope the place is a success and other items on the menu are a little more value for the money - otherwise this would just be an ok place to stop in after work for beers.
